My experience with Vola Health Istanbul – Dental Clinic & Implants Cosmetics Dentistry was one of the most stressful and traumatic situations I have ever gone through in my life.
Before flying to Istanbul, I was constantly reassured by a person contacting me via WhatsApp that everything would be professional, safe, and perfectly organized. I was promised full support, step-by-step assistance, and comfortable accommodation. I was told I would not be left alone at any moment.
The reality was completely different.
The accommodation that was described as high standard did not meet even basic expectations of comfort and peace for a medical trip. Instead of feeling calm before treatment, I felt uncomfortable and unsettled.
At the clinic, I was asked to pay a deposit in euros. In a reputable medical facility, I expected full documentation and written confirmation of any payment. However, the money was taken without any receipt or official confirmation being issued. The way this was handled — the deposit being accepted and put away without formal paperwork — was shocking and deeply unprofessional in my view. It caused me serious concern and made me feel there was a lack of transparency.
Another major shock for me was the pricing. The amount requested upon arrival was significantly higher than what had originally been quoted to me before my trip. The initial payment requested on site was several times higher than the price I had been previously given. This made me feel misled and put under enormous pressure while already being in a foreign country.
Additionally, I was surprised by the clinic’s technical facilities. Certain diagnostic equipment that I expected to be standard in a highly rated and reputable dental clinic did not appear to be available on site, which raised further concerns for me.
The coordinator’s behavior increased my stress even more. I did not feel supported or guided. Instead, I felt pressure and tension. Rather than feeling cared for as a patient, I felt uncomfortable and uneasy about the entire situation.
When I began to have doubts and needed time to think, I started receiving messages suggesting serious financial consequences if I decided not to proceed. Being alone in a foreign country, such messages were frightening and overwhelming.
This trip was supposed to be about improving my health and gaining a new smile. Instead, I experienced one day and one night that I can only describe as a nightmare — filled with stress, uncertainty, and a deep sense of losing control over my own decisions.
This is my personal experience. Based on what I went through, I cannot recommend this clinic. I strongly advise anyone considering treatment abroad to insist on written agreements, official payment confirmations, clear price breakdowns, and never make decisions under pressure.
I returned from this trip not only financially affected, but emotionally shaken and deeply disappointed.
