terrible website, too many delusional participants who think they're gods gift. There are too many example tracks on vocalists profiles with heavy autotune useage. If you can't make a demo of your "talent" without correcting it, you don't have any
Horrible website, I've been trying to get a few of my tracks vocaled. I don't mind paying the artist but this website shuts off all communication between parties. Which means you have toi pay $18 if you want to unlock messaging. Total waste of time, Iv'e found a way to contact clients without paying so get fuked vocalizr.
This website is the complete opposite of what musicians could hope. Money is the only thing they care about, not music.
Been using Vocalizr over a few years, but it has gotten worse.
I can't message anyone without paying even more money. This is bad because I've already paid vocalizr fees to setup a contest/gig ($30). Even if you put your email or similar in the description, they remove it.
It's basically says FU to the consumer, and give us more money or you're not getting anything. It's really cr*p for producers.
Vocalizr has gotten so bad over the past few years. I remember me and my friends being able to freely search and talk to people with no extra charge; those days are long gone. Now they lure you in for free and then CONSTANTLY try to upsell you their premium plans.
Here's how my experience went:
I need a vocalist on a song.
I try to search for a vocalist, I can't because I'm not giving them money.
I make a gig instead.
People bid.
I message said people, I get ghosted 3/4 of the time.
I try to message more than five people, I can't because I'm not giving them money. Now I'm also letting down people who have made bids.
I try to at least connect with people so I can message them. I've reached my monthly limit and now I can't even do that because THEY WANT MY MONEY!!
It's so ridiculous, they are more or less the only service (in my experience) that does things this way.
I recommend using SoundBetter, I've been using it for a while and to my knowledge it is completely free if you are a client (meaning you are the one requesting services).
