I placed an order that unfortunately never reached me due to a delivery failure, with the package left unattended in an unsecure location.
When I contacted customer service to report the issue, their response was entirely defensive and unhelpful. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a replacement or refund, they hid behind basic courier tracking data, blamed the layout of my property, and completely washed their hands of the situation.
The retailer flatly refuses to acknowledge basic consumer rights regarding delivery risk. If anything goes wrong with your shipment, they will take your money, refuse to assist, and leave you to deal with the loss on your own. Avoid shopping here.

Disappointing experience. I bought one of the necklaces in a charity shop and as it was very pretty ordered two more. Dispatch was due within 3-4 days and after a week when I’d heard nothing I emailed asking for an updated dispatch date. Didn’t actually answer that question but said they were currently very busy and I’d get a dispatch number as soon as it was ready. Another week passed with no communication so I raised an issue on PayPal who refunded me immediately.

I wanted to like this company as they are really hyped up on social media and looked so good with a nice choice of jewellery on the website.
Unfortunately the product and service I received were distinctly underwhelming and I learnt a lesson about dreaming for items on instagram!
I ordered the buttermilk yellow beaded necklace with pink heart pendant, it was a little more pricey than what I’d usually spend on simple beads.
Vintage lane stated delivery within 3-4 days, almost a week went by with no sign, I was about to worry when it finally arrived (not necessarily the company’s fault).
Necklace nicely packaged but beads smaller than they looked online (2nd mistake of mine to assume).
The heart pendant won’t lay flat and sticks up annoyingly, largely due to the length of the necklace gets in the way of all my tops.
Worst bit is, I’ve only worn it 3 times and today the chain snapped, I took it off to use pliers to mend it myself (can’t be bothered with the hassle to return) and found that the gold chain its on is all worn to a nasty grey metal and corroding, so likely to snap again soon and then it will be beyond repair.
In future I will stick to physical shops to chose fun cheap pieces that give the same “look” and have been more durable.

I am extremely disappointed with both the product quality and customer service provided by Vintage Lane.

I purchased a necklace advertised as being 40cm in length. When it arrived, it measured approximately 42cm. As the company states that its jewellery is made to order, I reasonably assumed this reflected their standard sizing and subsequently purchased a second necklace based on the fit and appearance of the first.

The second necklace was also advertised as being 40cm in length. However, when it arrived, it measured only 39cm. This means there is a 3cm difference between two necklaces that were both sold as 40cm items. When worn, the difference is obvious and significantly affects their appearance.

What makes this even more frustrating is that both necklaces use the same size beads. I find it difficult to understand how two made-to-order necklaces, advertised at the same length and made with the same size beads, can vary by 3cm. Producing necklaces to a consistent length would seem to be a basic quality control requirement.

What is particularly disappointing is Vintage Lane's response. Rather than acknowledging the inconsistency and correcting the issue, they expect me to pay for the alteration, return postage and postage back to me, at a total cost of approximately £10.

Had both necklaces been made consistently to the advertised 40cm length, or even to the same length as each other, this situation would never have arisen. Instead, I am being asked to pay to rectify a problem that was not of my making.

The jewellery itself may be attractive, but inconsistent sizing and poor customer service have left me feeling very let down. I would advise potential buyers to be aware that lengths may vary significantly, even when ordering the same style in the same stated size.
