Useless couriers

Ordered and paid for a couple of item.s on the 4th November then spent 3 days watching DX drive past my address not bothering to stop, then complained to viking and asked for replacement having not recieved the first delivery only to be asked to pay for a second time and still watch DX not deliver it.
Staples worked ot £20 cheaper on a £60 deliveryand the delivery arrived next day

3 days later still waiting for my 'next…

3 days later still waiting for my 'next day' deliver as DX have delivered it to someone else (and that was a day late too) and can't be bothered to go and find it!! Viking - lots of lip service and apologies but that simply doesn't cut it. Now I'm struggling to get a refund!!!

this company is a nightmare to deal…

this company is a nightmare to deal with their accounts dept is a total waste of time they are not prepared to help small business. i got behind with my payment during covid and they removed my credit terms and WILL not reinstate them but don`t mind me using my account details to shop on there site and pay upfront they are just greedy there telephone staff do not understand what you are asking would never use these

This supplier is a very aggressive

This supplier is a very underhand company to deal with, they sneakily add extra payments for thing like insurance to your bills unless you ask them not to.
They also are very aggressive with their debt chasing regime and even when we tried to pay their debt they had changed the bank account number (same bank still) and then pursue with penalties when you pay the existing saved account, and when they point out to you the mistake and you pay them again they threaten you with court action or penalties.
This is not the sort of company we shall ever trade with again.

Computer says no...

I ordered a printer that was in stock and received order confirmation. After about 10 days I wondered when I was going to receive the printer and logged in to check. At that point I saw that they had cancelled the order and said the product was no longer available. A complete waste of time and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue.

I ordered a filing cabinet from Viking…

I ordered a filing cabinet from Viking online and they advised me that it would arrive the next day. I paid for it online by debit card. This was over a month ago. The next day I waited for my delivery which did not arrive. 3 Days later I received a phone call from the delivery company saying they would deliver the following week. I asked them to cancel this delivery as it was now too late. I then asked Viking for a refund which they said they would organise. I then rang again to be told that they had not asked me to pay online. I have emailed them around 5 times showing proof that the payment left my bank but they are telling me I need further proof of payment. I have sent the screen shot of my online banking and also a scanned copy of my bank statement which they say isn't enough proof. Don't use this company as it is now going to mean I will need to make a claim through the small claims court to get my money back.

Customer service that doesn’t exist

After purchasing ,from Viking-direct, a dog stroller for my ageing golden Labrador who is terminally ill, it arrived and was found to be unfit for purpose on so many fronts! We contacted VD who have given us the run around with ‘it’s our distributors who need to arrange collection’! Errrr no! I PAID VD so it’s VD who owe me the refund and should be dealing with the collection. I’m contacting my bank to have them process a return of funds. DO NOT use this firm at any stage, BUYER BEWARE!!!

Processed return fairly and efficiently

I purchased an item (rabbit cage) from Viking Direct that they sourced from another supplier. The item arrived on time but was very low quality and broke almost immediately.

Viking Direct were very efficient at processing a return for me and I was refunded the whole purchase price very quickly.

I bought a chair on Viking Direct that…

I bought a chair on Viking Direct that was advertised as guaranteed 24 hour delivery. After 2 weeks the chair never arrived. When I contacted them to find out where the chair was I was told it was on back order and wouldn't arrive for 2 months. I duly cancelled the order but have never received a refund. This is deceit and theft. I recommend to shoppers to never use this company, if they don't have the product available for sale they don't take it off their website and then if your product isn't delivered they keep the money and it is to date impossible to get a refund. No amount of emails and phone calls has seen my money refunded to me. I strongly advise against using this site.

Order not received - Avoid

Opened an account and placed an order on the 7th May, with expected delivery on the 11th May. Have chased it by chat as this is the only option at the moment and despite me receiving an order confirmation they have no record or my order. They've told me to re-order and they will arrange a refund in 14 days! Fear not I won't be re-ordering with Viking Direct
Chat team is based in South Africa.

Untrustworthy

I purchased 2 air conditioning units last weekend from this store and received a confirmation email stating the items would be delivered in 5 working days. As the 5 days expired today I contacted the company and they advised that it had been a pricing error and the order had been cancelled. The company made no attempt to inform me of this fact and we have been suffering in the hottest week of the year looking forward to being more comfortable next week. If there was a mistake then fair enough but not to inform your customers is unforgivable. I do not believe that this was an advertising error as there was another model also with similar discounts on the Viking website. I will now have no chance of purchasing alternative coolers for next week which is forecast to be even hotter. After doing a search I found that there are hundreds of people affected by this as it was picked up by the hot UK deals website. How many new accounts were opened and personal details gained by this 'error'. A convenient way to make up the marketing numbers after GDPR.
