We visited Venture for a complimentary newborn photoshoot and free framed photograph in July. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by our photographer, Jenna. She was absolutely fantastic—friendly, professional, and incredibly patient with our newborn daughter. She made us feel relaxed throughout the session, we were offered refreshments, and the overall photoshoot experience was enjoyable. Jenna captured some beautiful images, and we're very grateful for the lovely framed photograph we received.
Unfortunately, our experience during the follow-up viewing appointment was very different. We were greeted by the owner, Martin, who initially seemed welcoming as he showed us a slideshow of the photographs. However, once it came to discussing prices, the atmosphere changed considerably.

We were presented with the pricing and some promotional discounts, but it quickly became apparent that the minimum spend for digital images was far beyond our budget. We were quoted around £295 for five digital photographs, which we personally felt was extremely expensive. I explained honestly that our budget was around £150 and asked whether it would be possible to purchase three digital images instead. The request was declined without any flexibility, and from that point onwards, the interaction felt rushed and uncomfortable. Martin left the room shortly afterwards without saying goodbye or seeing us out, which came across as abrupt and unwelcoming.

My main feedback for Venture is around transparency. It would be helpful if the company made its pricing structure and minimum purchase costs much clearer before customers book or attend the viewing appointment. Had we known in advance that the entry point for digital photographs was close to £300, we would have adjusted our expectations or decided whether the experience was right for us. This would save both customers and the business time and avoid disappointment.

Overall, the quality of the photography was excellent, and Jenna deserves recognition for providing such a positive and memorable photoshoot experience. While we genuinely appreciate the complimentary framed photograph, the sales process and customer service during the viewing appointment by the owner who should know better was significantly detracted from what had otherwise been a lovely experience.

From the get go we had top notch service from both the Cheltenham office and the photographer,Evelyn V. Evelyn was so lovely and we honestly had such a fun time during the shoot, our puppy was exhausted after! Today we had our viewing with Liv and the photos were honestly so amazing. I fell in love with them all. Evelyn managed to capture our puppies true personality in all the pictures and Liv was helpful in helping us select them (if wr could we would have bought and framed them all!). The package deals that venture offer are also really good, they are a bit more on the pricey side but for what you get and the quality of the pictures it is worth it in my opinion. Would 100% recommend Venture Cheltenham to anybody!

From start to finish, Windsor and I had such a great experience.
Emily was our photographer. She was absolutely amazing and so patient with Windsor, who had ants in his pants and would do the opposite of what we wanted. She took her time and adapted her methods to accommodate him. Emily called me pre-shoot to discuss what I was hoping to get from our session, and on the day she ran through the process and explained different styles and options available. Emily captured Windsor beautifully, and her talent and attention to detail shone through in the awesome photos presented to me.
Ellie too was amazing. She took us through our viewing and helped guide me through the gorgeous photos presented. I valued her insights and opinions helping me narrow it down to an impossible handful of photos. Ellie was so professional and listened to what I desired and helped me get a package together that was tailored for me and perfectly suited me.
The atmosphere and service from beginning to end was so professional yet at the same time relaxed and friendly. I cannot rate Venture Studios Eton enough. I would definitely recommend them and wish to thank them for the photographic experience of a lifetime. THANK YOU! Michele and Windsor

We're returning customers to Venture after over three years because we know the quality is second to none. Even though we received offers from other photography companies after welcoming our new baby, there was never any doubt we'd come back.

Lois was our photographer, and she was brilliant—quirky, relaxed and exactly our kind of person. We wanted natural, unstaged photos, and she captured them perfectly while offering great guidance throughout.

A few days later we met Dom for our viewing, and he made the whole experience even better. He talked us through all the photos and frame options with so much humour and charisma that we genuinely had a great time. We felt very comfortable and Dom definitely did ;). He made us feel completely at ease from viewing to paying.

A special mention to the lovely lady sitting at the computer next to the viewing room. Although she wasn't directly involved with us, her kindness stood out—she gave our son her crocodile toy to keep him entertained, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

From start to finish, the whole experience was exceptional. The team let you take the lead while offering inspiration when needed, making everything feel easy and enjoyable.

We had the most wonderful experience at Venture Photography Studios Eton! From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease and were so patient with our two kittens, Zoro and Nami.

We honestly didn’t know how they’d manage to photograph two curious, energetic kittens, but they somehow captured their personalities perfectly. Every image feels so “them”, from Zoro’s cheeky expressions to Nami’s sweet, inquisitive little face. Looking through the gallery genuinely made us smile (and made choosing favourites almost impossible!).

They also captured some beautiful family portraits that we’ll treasure for years to come. The whole experience was relaxed, professional and genuinely enjoyable, and the quality of the photographs is incredible.

If you’re thinking about booking a pet or family photoshoot, we couldn’t recommend Venture Photography Studios Eton more highly. Thank you for giving us such special memories of our little family. ❤️🐈🐈

We said we’d be back after our ‘bump’ & ‘baby’ photo shoots in 2023 and here we are 3 years later with our little troublemaker Darcey.

We can’t thank Lois enough for the photo shoot and the unbelievable editing of the most beautiful photos we could possibly have hoped for! She was amazing and really knew how to get the best out of our strong willed threenager. She had us laughing and dancing and kept Darcey engaged throughout. The photos she’s captured are honestly stunning.

A huge thank you to Ben for our viewing today. He really helped us to work through and choose the photo combination that worked best for both us and our home (we struggled to pick from all of them they were all so good!!!!). His experience and knowledge really helped us and we felt so happy with the final decision we made!

Fantastic Newborn photoshoot experience at the Woodford studio! Eleanor was fantastic at calming our new baby and making us as new parents feel comfortable! The photos were stunning!

Had my photo shoot in nottingham with my 3 teenagers and omg it was amazing! Jordan did a fantastic job taking fun photos, and made us all feel at ease, even getting the odd smile from my grumpy 15 year old! I've just been for the viewing and honestly cried at how good the photos have come out! The experience as a whole was great, and being able to see all the photos and pick my favourite ones for the collection frame was fun. Yes it's a little pricey, and luckily there's a great deal on so I have all the photos, but it's well worth it to capture great memories that will last for a lifetime. Can't wait to pick up my frame soon!!

We were lucky enough to get a voucher for just £20 for a photography session at Venture Studios in Eton after showing up for a pop up in Pets Corner in Taplow.

We got booked in by the wonderful Zoe who was ever so helpful in letting us know everything to expect on the day. She was very professional and sent us a quick survey to fill out so we could figure out what styles we liked and what props to bring with us to make our shoot more personalised.

The amazing Beth was our photographer, so friendly and approachable from the get go. She made my partner, Bailey (puppy) and I feel so at ease and comfortable, constantly interacting with Bailey and prompting us for different poses. Studio was very clean might i add and cool enough for the heatwave we were experiencing. Beth is so clearly passionate about her job and that really showed in the final outcomes. We booked in our viewing of the photos which we thought was incredibly organised, down to the music and narrowing down of the photos.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Venture, we wanted to say a big thanks to the team and would love to come back in the future.

We had a photoshoot at Venture, Nottingham with our 9 week old daughter and despite our initial reservation, we were soon made to feel at ease by Jordan. We’ve just gone back to view our photos and fell totally in love with them all. Photo packages are a bit on the steep side and Ricky didn’t pressure us in to buying but obviously we just couldn’t not. Would 100% recommend

My partner and I were quite nervous about attending a photoshoot for the first time, as neither of us is particularly comfortable in front of a camera. We were hopeful to get some lovely photos of our nine-day-old daughter, but Venture Studios in Leamington Spa exceeded every expectation we had.

From start to finish, the whole experience was seamless, relaxed, and completely stress-free. Kayleigh was absolutely amazing with both us and our baby. She explained everything clearly, had such a warm and calming presence, soothed our fussy little one with ease, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. She worked with us to capture some truly beautiful images, both of our daughter and of us together as a family.

When we returned for our viewing, Meg looked after us and was an absolute delight. She guided us through Kayleigh's incredible work, explained all of our options clearly, and made the whole process just as enjoyable as the shoot itself.

We're now genuinely considering returning as our little one grows up, because I can't think of a better way to capture these precious milestones than through the lens of such a talented and caring team.

Dan made the experience so calming even with a fussy baby, there was no pressure felt and the creativity he showed in the viewing was amazing.

Booking process was easy and the viewing was more than expected.

The staff was brilliant and the photos were amazing too they are good with kids we had a photo there with are 3 year old and newborn and they were all so happy to meet us and they understood what we wanted and we are definitely go back there Evelyn was so good at taking the photos

Well what can I say about this place , from the time I won a competition to booking our shoot which I had to change due to my boy being poorly ,they changed the date straight away there was no issues . The day came for my little boys photoshoot well they was so lovely talked through everything explained how the shoot was going to go talked about what pictures we liked the look of from their collection , going into the room and setting up it was calm we had a laugh ,my son was allowed to move freely at all times our photographer made him laugh and smile skip ahead to booking the appointment to come back to look at the pictures , there was a problem with the pictures but they got straight onto it and fixed the problem within an hour so when we went back to look it was a lovely experience the slide shows and music was lovely the staff are friendly and reliable I was a pain and wanted to go back to have another look as I couldn't make my mind up on what photo I wanted but they said it wasn't a problem and we looked at the pictures again and then I made the decision so I appreciate all the hard work that goes into the work they do . Thank you for a great experience.

We had Izzy as our photographer. She was absolutely brilliant. The pictures that were taken are beautiful.
We were made to feel fantastic, very enthusiastic and special. Our baby was so at ease and happy too.

Dom was our cinematographer and showed us the full extent of the amazing pictures taken.
He was very polite and made the time very special.

Honestly couldn't have asked for two more wonderful people.

I wanted to share my honest experience with Venture Studios because I wish I'd known how their process worked before booking.

We originally paid £100 for what was advertised as a family photoshoot, including one framed photograph. Nowhere did it feel obvious that the real business model was to sell you expensive packages after the shoot. I think Venture Studios should be far more transparent about this from the beginning so customers can make an informed decision.

I bought the voucher in February, and it had a 6 or 12-month validity. From then on, I received phone calls every couple of weeks encouraging me to book, which eventually started to feel excessive. Once the shoot was booked a few months in, the calls became even more frequent, asking about our ideas and expectations. This was despite me repeatedly saying we just wanted a simple family shoot and after completing their detailed online questionnaire. I also received several reminder calls making sure we would attend. While I understand wanting to provide good customer service, the constant contact felt more like high-pressure sales and harassment rather than genuine customer care.

The actual photoshoot was the best part of the experience. The photographer was warm, bubbly, creative and fantastic with our family. We genuinely enjoyed the session, which lasted around 40 minutes, and we left feeling positive.

Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended.

We weren't made aware beforehand that we would need to return to the studio for a separate viewing appointment. As we live around 30 minutes away, this meant another unnecessary journey. Considering the final photos were ultimately emailed to us anyway, this could have been done online.

At the viewing appointment, we were shown a slideshow of our photographs set to music before being taken through the pricing. There wasn't an opportunity to properly browse the images at our own pace or carefully choose our favourites. Instead, it felt like a sales presentation designed to encourage us to spend as much as possible.

The pricing was astonishing. We were quoted around £400 for just 8 digital images, while framed packages ran into the thousands of pounds. Finance options over several years were presented, but I honestly cannot imagine taking out a three-year payment plan for photos.

In the end, we felt backed into a corner and purchased all digital photos (about 70) for £645 simply because it represented better value than buying only 8 images at £400. Ironically, around half of those images weren't ones we'd ever use or want to see again. Not to mention that the files supplied were only the basic 1080p resolution unless you paid even more for actual professional higher-quality versions. We did not even get the one framed photo part of the original package, because they factored that into the £645 to give us a "great discount", we just got a download link.

By the time we'd finished, we'd spent £745 in total between the original booking and the digital package. For a 40-minute photoshoot, editing and around 30 genuinely usable digital photographs in 1080p, I think that is exceptionally expensive.

I also found the atmosphere during the sales appointment uncomfortable. It felt very much like a hard-sell environment with constant emphasis on "special offers" and "discounts" and "payment plans". We seriously considered walking out. When paying and walking out we were made to feel very "cheap" and a "let down" rather than feeling excited about our family memories, we left feeling pressured, disappointed and ripped-off.

What makes this especially frustrating is that we actually like many of the photographs. The photographer did a wonderful job, and we have some lovely family memories. It's such a shame that those memories are overshadowed by what felt like a misleading and high-pressure sales process.

My biggest criticism isn't the quality of the photography—it's the lack of transparency. If customers knew from the outset that the initial fee is essentially an entry point into a premium sales experience with packages costing hundreds or thousands of pounds, they could make an informed choice before booking.

If you're considering Venture Studios, my advice would be to ask for a full price list beforehand. Had we known exactly what to expect, we may have made a different decision.

Sadly, despite liking about 10 photographs very much, I wouldn't return or recommend the experience.

Fantastic photography session with Georgia. I really wanted to capture our family and gain some wonderful photos of myself and family ( as I'm often the one taking the photos ). Georgia was welcoming, friendly and consistent in her direction. We felt like we were doing a good job the whole way through, which built confidence and shook the awkwardness away.
We now have viewed out photos, Wow.. we all loved them, I cried and we left with our photos all on high resolution USB and sent via email.

Wonderful photoshoot experience for our dog. Our photographer, Caitlin, was extremely professional and patient with our spirited beagle. The pictures all looked wonderful and really captured our beautiful boy! Thank you to Johnny for the wonderful viewing experience.
