I started as a new AE in January after being promoted from an SDR. I saw the writing on the wall - I'd need to build a foundation of selling, and I didn't trust that my company would dedicate the time and resources to help me get where I want to go. I want to be a top performer, and I can't do that without the foundation needed to build the success I want to. How to prospect full cycle, how to identify and clarify your ICP, how to run discovery, crafting good emails, running powerful demos, how to prepare for calls, how to overcome objections tactfully - you can't rely on your manager or anyone to give you the right information on this. If you land at a company that has all of that information for you and makes it easily accessible, you are one of the rare ones. That's why I came to Marcus to have a clear foundation and path of where I need to start to create success. My first month was tricky learning everything, but as I suspected, I had no attention from my manager or leadership and really had to figure it out on my own, while getting help from other AE's who also had wildly different answers. I still use those resources, but I dedicate time each morning to focus on Marcus' course so I can hone in my own skills without trusting that someone else will do it for me. It took me some time, but was able to close my first 3 deals after 2.5 weeks in the program. While I certainly didn't go through the whole course in that time, the portion on mindset is extremely valuable. The mindset is half the battle. The skills will come as you learn and practice, but you won't make it if you don't hone in the mindset and Marcus starts heavy on that side so that you're dialed in from the beginning.

I signed up to get a fresh look at sales training for 2024/25. I felt like my skills lacked, and I needed to catch up with the current market. I am still a current student, but there is a lot to unpack so far. From having a mindset shift, to focusing more on my goals, routines, and sales habits/trainings, I'm really excited for what is to come! I recommend making the investment in yourself!

Check this out! Marcus' system, tip, tricks, whatever you want to call them....WORK! I went from $300k in sales my first year to $1.2 mill year two when I started his system. Year 3 was just shy of $5 MILL in sales! With an avg deal size of $20k!
Follow the system, listen to the advice, read as much as you can... you will see the results!
