COMPLETE SCAMMERS... Need shutting down asap before many more fall for this scam.

Here is what I have just written to them.....
I applied for CAR TAX on 24th June online. I seen a payment of £9.75 so drove home in my new car purchase not thinking anything about it. I have done some research today & contacted my bank to say I didn't recognise a payment of £6.99 which came out today 24th August & one that came out on 25th June again for £6.99.
I have NEVER agreed to these payments & the initial payment of £9.75 on the 25th June, I assumed was my payment for Road Tax.
I have now had to cancel my card, cancel any more payments & my bank is looking into this as a fraud investigation.
Furthermore, I will be reporting you to action fraud, trading standards & the Motoring Ombudsman asap after this bank holiday.
I want my 2 x £6.99 payments returned & also my Initial £9.75 which was made on the assumption it was for car tax.
Luckily for you I qualify for disabled tax through my disabled wife, which I got asap after purchase otherwise I would have been driving illegally for 5 days, but if something had happened within those 5 days, ie an accident or something, you would have eventually been found out & you would of been sued for thousands!!.
You have got away with this scam for far too long now so I make sure I will do everything in my power to make sure you don't get away with this for much longer.

PLEASE PLEASE PEOPLE REPORT THESE HOWEVER SMALL THE AMOUNT IS, they should not be allowed to get away with this!!

I would give 0 but no option so given one. It’s a scam - feel such a fool - took £14.65 - I was rushing didn’t realise it was a subscription - thankfully realised straight away. Contacted my bank and they confirmed it was a scam. They are refusing to refund the payment. I will learn from this !

A scam… check your emails… you can cancel

Complete fraud, pretending to be a legitimate site, imitating the official gov site using their style and formatting and selling a product which is not what the user is asking for. The website and email are 'vehiclecartax' this is misleading intentionally and is FRAUD. Please report to both NCSC - Report a scam website and Google - Report a phishing page and let's get them taken down

I fell in this scam. Only 50 pence in 2024, but they create a hidden subscription of 7.95/month. In the my bank account doesn't appears any direct debit to be cancelled. So you need to go to the email they send you, and clic in the link to log in your account of vehiclecartax. Then go to settings and clic last option where you can clic again "cancel subscription ".

Scam website, bought a new car wanted to drive it home, googled tax a vehicle and went to the first link(my mistake but it seems like their praying on vulnerable people) I asked for a refund and got an unfriendly reply which they said it clearly states they don't tax vehicles.

Just like the other reviewers I have been scammed by this website. I’m kicking myself for not paying closer attention when trying to pay for my car tax on a car I’d just purchased. So cross with myself. Google should not have this site at the top of their road tax search results. Do not use!

Complete misrepresentation as a gov UK website,
How Google allows this to be a verified website is any one's guess,
They take advantage of innocent people trying to do the correct lawful thing by taxing a vehicle
They front as a car tax website but once they have your payment details all they offer is a vehicle report telling you what you already know ,
How is this acceptable,
It's false website that Google needs to take their responsibility seriously as this is a direct breach of any one's trust ,
My trust in Google has now disappeared along with my money,
More worryingly they now have my personal details and who knows which other parties they may have passed it onto,
I wish I had never come across these fake car tax providers ,

Only to find out you have purchased another product that was not as described,

I also went to DVLA website to pay car tax but this website came up tath etop with similar name 'pay car tax'.. The form was same as DVLA and charged almost the same what I wopuld have paid for my car tax.
I paid it and only realised when received another letter from DVLA and noticed that I was scamed. Moreover applied tpo cancel the registration and but just seen that montly registration fee has been deducted from my account again. It's a big scam.. Please avoid.

Scam instead of paying for your car tax they take £10 and send u a useless report to tell you that you need car tax. BE AWARE they also take £6.99 direct debit out of your account monthly for nothing.... Total scam advise your bank, National Cyber Security Centre and report the advert on Google. I'm going through the process now and they are disputing! There is a 14 day cooling off period in their t&cs if you're reading this after just falling for it you may get your money back quicker!

Yes I am another gullible customer who has used these scammers. I have also lost £10 with no road tax. I’m concerned now that I have provided them with all my details.
They should be stopped for scamming innocent people

Scam. You think you're taxing your car but all you're doing is paying for reports about it.
I contacted my credit card company to stop more payments and they will also try to get the £9.75 back.
I feel stupid falling for this but feel these scammers have no morals. I can afford to lose this amount but some can't.

Cut the clamp off. Nothing they’ll do- no legal knowledge whatsoever. NSL contractors for DVLA are finished

Yes they got me too. Absolutely despicable scammers. Very crafty how they’ve worded it if you read the fine print. Watch out as they may take more of your money for the “ subscription “.
Surely there are laws against these questionable and deliberately misleading business practices. Lock them up and throw away the key.

The UK CAR TAX online is not fit for purpose;
1. Initially I went on a site that looks like the official taxing site it was a scam to provide some sort of report for £10. This site should be taken down.
2. I then used the telephone went through the process well got to the end voice said " please wait while we process" then the call ended ...no confirmation as to whether it had gone through ......extremely poor..
3. I then tried to pay again using www.gov site ......it went through but even though I have an e mail ....no confirmation of payment ....exceptionally poor
4. I am now paying £290 a year to drive my vehicle on roads that are riddled with pot holes causing damage to my tyres and suspension ....also putting lives at risk as vehicles move to try and avoid them
The online taxing system is extremely poor .....has the team reviewed it from an end of user perspective?.....I hope by this time next year the service will have improved, but I doubt any one will do anything about the points I have raised. Robots now implimenting systems created by clowns !!
