I cannot express how disappointed I am…

I cannot express how disappointed I am with Vector Security Company. They were relentless in pushing me into a contract from a client that did not want their services from the sale of a home purchase, promising top-notch service that I never received. The moment I tried to cancel, it became an absolute nightmare. Their customer service was unresponsive, and the process to exit the contract was like navigating a labyrinth.

It's infuriating that a company would prioritize locking customers into contracts over delivering on their promises. This experience has left me feeling deceived and trapped. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice and explore more trustworthy options. Vector Security Company's business practices are nothing short of unethical.

20 Years Experience

I have been a customer of vector security for over 20 years. I pay in full every year my service contract. For the most part the system has been reliable. But, whenever there is an issue or problem it takes sometimes several weeks to get a technician who knows what they are doing to come to our home. I also have an ADT system at another location. They typically respond faster. Just be aware these vendors are quick to take your money, but very slow when you need them for repairs.

Stay way from vector!!

Well if I read those reviews I wouldn’t go with that company . The salesman tell you everything you want to hear, but they’re so much more, he fail to mentioned, once you put your signature on the dotted line ..you are in for a turbulence !!
The system constantly having issues, salesman don’t tell you everything you need to know. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone. If you military like me getting out of a contract is nearly impossible , it’s like they want you to stay with this company .. oh the salesman don’t talk about that either! Im paying for an equipment I disconnected about a month ago, but guess what no one contacted me to ensure safety ..I’m using Vinvint as of the moment and it’s super awsome !! Honor the military I think not!!please anyone thinking of getting vector read the contract and ask questions !! Or stay the hell away.. I’m still trying to get my issues resolved .. fights goes on !!!

No protection month of May & unable to reach billing & customer service by phone or online

I've been a customer of Vector since 2005 & they've been great BUT, Since 3 G went away & I had to get a new keypad I've had nothing but problems. Everytime they do an update & "improve" things something doesn't function. On May 5 I went into the hospital. My friends came over to feed my cat. When they put their code in they were told it was wrong. they each tried & finally calld me & I gave them my code. During this 10-15 minutes no call came from Vector & no police showed up. When I returned home everything seemed okay but when I checked to see why my friends couldn't key in I discovered they had all been deleted. Vector then did another "improvement" & I lost everything. Called tech & discovered there was no communication between my keypad & vector. Had to wait a week for the tech to come out & reboot my key pad. I have been unable to contact Vector either by phone or online. Can't delete or reenter my friends codes. I've left my phone # to have them call back & I've been waiting 4 days. My next call willl be to CANCELLATION.

I HAVE BEEN CALLING ABOUT MY BILL FOR 2 DAYS AND I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD EVERYTIME.I CALLED PUT MY PHONE ON SPEAKER AND LEFT IT THERE.FINALLY I GOT A RESPONCE, PHONE CALL WAS DISONNECTED.

Dont use them if its a weekend house.

Dont use them if its a weekend house., They wont service your alarm on weekends, But when they sold me system and later i added, they had weekend service to come. So they promise you the world for a sale but then youre out of luck if there are an issues .
When you get new system they are so accommodating. They give you a personal sales rep who calls you back with but once its installed, forget about getting any call backs.,

Poor service response

I usually read reviews but a friend referred vector (what a mistake). It’s holiday season and I am stuck without alarm. Service has no sense of urgency. Devon from tech support was very rude and wants callers to be alarm technicians when you call. Made mistake switching from Brinks

Terrible Service

First, we have been with American Alert / Vector Security for 19 years. The fire alarm on our system went off twice on 10/12/22. There was no fire. At this time, we found out nothing was working on our system. Service said they would be at our home at 8:00 am on 10/19/22 to troubleshoot the system. Yes, when the technician showed up at 9:30, he was instructed to only change batteries. Obviously a lack of communication between the service personnel and the field personnel. He couldn't fix anything because it wasn't a battery issue. He said someone would call me that same day to schedule a new appointment. For this, I had to take a half day of vacation time. I didnt receive a phone call from someone until 11/1/22 to reschedule, two weeks time?! Since I won't take anymore vacation time for this situation, the phone person stated she would have to clear with management to schedule an after hours appointment and that she would call me back the next day to confirm. She never called back. On 11/16/22 I called them to cancel our service. I was told they would mail me a form to fill out to cancel. We still have not gotten anything from them. I feel I am due a refund from 10/12/22 to present. I wish to hear from you on this matter and confirm our cancellation. Clearly your security company has communication issues that is disturbing in a security business.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! They will sell you everything and anything - if you ever need service you are stranded on your own. Used them for over 5 years - Its impossible to get them to come out. I will be switching to RING security - my panel has tons of issues and will not function. They do not care at all. Terrible terrible company!! Stay away Seriously! And lastly they increased the monitoring price to $54 a month! INSANE!

Do not get vector!!!

Cameras are junk and pick what they actually want to pick up. The app is very delayed and unreliable. Can't wait till our contracts up. I hope this saves someone from getting stuck with this horrible company.

My husband was sent to 3 different…

My husband was sent to 3 different people to cancel the service. His mother had passed and the house was empty and being sold. They wanted a letter and a copy of the death certificate before they would cancel. If we get another bill from them we will be contacting the BBB and an attorney. What a scam. We will definitely be telling others about our experience.

This is the worst experience I've had

This is the worst experience I've had. Customer service is a joke never can help these cameras are a waste of money. I was supposed to get a doorbell camera. When the installer got her he stated he couldn't install it so they decided to install a security camera in the front pointing at the porch. These don't really record anything. You can look at it live for about 2 min. Then you have to load it again. It's supposed to detect people animals and vehicle. It detect vehicle, and starts recording for about 8 sec then just stops. If someone sits in your car for fair a few sec and then get out it will not record it detect you walking directly in from of the camera. I was told i had to get sd cards for that. That's lame. But i was also told they would come "pop them in" for free. No one came i bought better cameras from Amazon. I want to cancel they are not honest.

TERRIBLE customer service

TERRIBLE customer service. Received a call from DONNA on Thanksgiving day and the miserable WITCH hung up in my face as I was trying to understand the reason for the call. I thought Halloween was over, but I guess some people are like that everyday!

Terrible company

Terrible company, poor equipment, poor service, bad central station monitoring. What more can I say? If you can avoid this company, by all means do so, ESPECIALLY if you are a commercial customer that does not like to be called routinely, late at night, to hear about a faulty unit going off, from a company that makes no attempts to fix the problem.

I had no choice to give this company 1…

I had no choice to give this company 1 star they deserve negative 5. This company by the WORST. Do not do a contract with them and if you do they will tack on many charges after you try to cancel and will also send you to collections without notifying you. I am so upset with this company, you will be to. Customer service will shuffle you around so you are frustrated for cancelling and on top of that send you to collections without your knowledge, not even a phone call nor email.

Very dissatisfied with this service. The doorbell camera barely works and that was my main reason for getting security.
