I bought a varun M27-1 in February 2026. After only using it on 3-4 occasions the battery and charger stopped working. After communicating the problem to Varun customer care they agreed to send a replacement battery and charger to me on 20th May 2026. It is now 23rd July and I have not received anything. After initially telling me they have no replacement in stock, and that it takes 35 days to arrange a replacement I still received nothing. They are now ignoring my emails. I have a bike that does not work, after only 3-4 uses. I have requested refund if they are not sending the replacement battery but they continue to ignore my emails. Complete waste of money.

The bike arrived very well packed, requiring cutting away much of the box and protection. The bike took three hours to assemble and then displayed an error code. The company advised disconnecting the motor and reconnecting the motor but the error code remained. Company said that they would build a new motor, 30 days, ship so that we could install the new motor.
As the item was faulty, the onus is on the seller to replace the item, but they have refused to arrange for collection of assembled bike, insisting that it is disassembled and returned to them by carrier. This necessitated 3 hours work on our part. We will ask for compensation for this time, unlikely to get any!
Do not buy.

Also ich hab das m27-1 und muss sagen ich war eigentlich ne lange Zeit sehr begeistert von dem Bike für das Geld ist das Bike echt top gewesen okay der Akku hält 60 km ist voll in Ordnung für den günstigsten Preis sind so Sachen wie Bremsen jetzt nicht die hochwertigsten kann man auch mit leben nach 1,5 Jahren und guten 30.000 km ist mein hinterrad von den Speichen kaputt gegangen sehr ärgerlich aber das Bike würde auch täglich auf herz und Nieren getestet. Ich liebte dieses bike also beschloss ich letzten Monat mir ein neues m27-1 zu kaufen. Ich hab es über Europa bestellt deshalb sagte man mir muss ich auch ein paar Tage warten alles in Ordnung. Das neue Bike ist angekommen da muss ich sagen fände ich es etwas merkwürdig der Akku von dem neuen hat einen anderen Ladeanschluss der echt nervig ist mit diesen drei Löchern und die Bremsen wurden vertauscht was mich glauben lässt das es wahrscheinlich doch von UK ist auch wenn der Support mir was anderes sagte. An sich für das Geld ein wirklich geiles bike und ich denke ich würde mir auch wieder ein varun holen sollte das mal hinüber sein. Doch wäre es wirklich schöner gewesen wenn man mir von vorneherein mit geteilt hätte das es doch aus UK kommt deshalb leider leid nur 3 Sterne sonst hätte ich dem m27-1 gerne die vollen 5 Sterne gegeben denn eigentlich macht das einen riesen Spaß mit diesem Bike unterwegs zu sein.

I have 3 Varun e-bikes and really like them. Mine are folding down (1 x S20-1 and 2 x C20-1) for transport in small car. The batteries are good (left one unused for a year and still kept charge as new). The bikes have optional throttles (only private land UK), pedestrian speed starts and power settings. They are well-built. After sales care is best done by direct comms with the manufacturer which is in China. The S20’s have fittings for bottle cages and the C20’s have chain guards for commuting. Lights are good. The bikes are robust, not elegant, but they are very good value and better than many equivalent price point. Folding for transport is easy. I’ve ridden mine in UK, France, Germany and Austria. All good fun!

Trying to contact these people and getting a response from them is like ripping my own damn teeth out of my head. There's no number to call anybody your customer service doesn't respond in a timely fashion I think I'm just going to return this damn bike because I can't get the piece of crap to work God I wish you people would do your job

Generally my experience has been ok with the bike. You get what you pay for. But I'm not impressed at the support. I've had the bike just under 2 years. The first year it didn't get much use due to illness. Last year I rode it a bit more at the end, and yesterday I went out on it and noticed moisture inside the screen. They are now telling me its only a 1 year warranty, and that this is from bad use... yeah, using it when it happened to rain I'm guessing!

Ce vélo est illégal.. il n avance pas en pédalage assistance.. il a un accélérateur de 6 km/h mais si vous pesez plus de 90 kg vous faites du statu quo sur place il n'avance pas. Vous êtes obligé de le débrider pour pouvoir rouler avec correctement. Le problème c'est que si vous les débrider il marquera à 32 km/h et c'est interdit par la loi puisqu'il faut 25 km/h.. ce vélo est donc illégal.. comment peut-on oser vendre ce vélo.. je suis tombé dans le panneau

Worst ebike components, cheap breaks, cheap batery, damaged screws, unsymetric component and when u explain them, they act like is normal for that price...

Habe ein varun s26-1 gekauft. Super Bike kann ich jedem weiterempfehlen der ein preisgünstiges mit guter Qualität kaufen möchte. Immer wieder gerne.

wir haben für den Sohn ein Fatbike von Varun gekauft, vorher noch geschaut aber da waren die Bewertungen lang nicht so schlecht wir nach einem Jahr jetzt.
Wir hatten nur Propbleme, von anfang an. Der e-Mail Kontakt lief ganz gut aber wir mussten alles selbst reparieren, wir haben einen neuen Akku bekommen, wir haben einen neuen Motor bekommen und jetzt, nach einem Jahr bricht die Gabel. Es ist nur Schrott. Fehler Error24 tritt immer wieder auf und dann geht gar nichts mehr. Unzuverlässig hoch3 das ist nicht das was man von einem e-bike möchte - am Berg geht nichts mehr-. Ich würde vom Kauf abraten. Lieber etwas mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen und was gescheites kaufen

Habe ein Varun S20-1 Plus über Amazon gekauft. Wurde sehr schnell geliefert, aber ist leider ein unmögliches Bike. Groß, schwer und unhandlich, für ein klappbares Bike eine Fehlkonstruktion. Es fährt auch nur wenn der Schlüssel im Schloss steckt. Immerhin erscheint es stabil, jedoch streifen die Bremsscheiben, das vordere Schutzblech war bei Lieferung verkratzt. Wenn alles andere toll wäre, wäre das Schutzblech egal. Ich warte auf Rückholung und Rückerstattung - bislang keine Reaktion. Meine Bewertung des Bike auf Amazon wird nicht angezeigt, Fahrrad ist inzwischen nicht mehr lieferbar - wirkt alles sehr unseriös !!! Auf keinen Fall würde ich direkt beim Hersteller kaufen, ich hoffe auf die Marktmacht von Amazon...

These people are genuine scammers, do not buy from them. I placed an order on amazon august 9th, and it said it would be here between august 20th and 22nd. It is now the 21st, and Amazon cancelled my order today. They claim to be the target of an amazon scam hack where people are putting their bikes up for half off and then rug pulling, but I got the email response from their company directly about having "no current information on your order through amazon" and the email from amazon cancelling my order AT THE SAME TIME. I know, for a fact, that I bought the bike THROUGH THEIR AMAZON BRAND STORE. The fact that my order was cancelled, AND then company responded at the EXACT SAME TIME, to me says that they knew exactly what they were doing and they goofed on their coupon pricing, making it 50% not 5%. I only ordered the bike because it was half off.

2 x E-Bikes für 2500€ gekauft und 1 mit mehreren Mängeln und defekten erhalten.Service gleich null. Man muss Videos beim Fahren drehen und Fotos liefern um dann nur Ausreden zu Hören und man soll dann selbst Reparieren. Akku nach 70 km leer , Antwort von Varun: Das ist normal die 100 km im Prospekt sind unter Idealbedingungen. Nie wieder !

It does wat I say,easy controls,it's a pleasure again going out on the bike,I am 68 and missed riding a bike.
I highly recommend it,my mountain bike was a Varun M27 model.

Absolut empfehlenswert,. Wir haben uns die Räder als Zweitrad fürs Gelände gekauft. Machen alles mit. Sandwege, Schotter, Berg usw. Wir waren positiv überrascht.Wir haben sie jetzt 8 Monate gefahren.Alles top Man muss dabei auch immer noch den Preis im Auge behalten. Von uns gibt es eine Kaufempfehlung.

Habe ein Mountainbike und ein Damenrad bestellt und per Kreditkarte bezahlt. Den einen Stern gibts nur weil mein Mountainbike binnen ein paar Tagen angekommen ist. Das Damenrad für meine Frau welches laut Homepage lagernd war habe ich nicht bekommen. Der Kundendienst ist eine Katastrophe. So einen schlechten Support habe ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht gehabt. Nach gut zwei Wochen wurde meine Email beantwortet und mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass Damenrad wurde soeben versendet. Ich habe wieder gewartet, nichts bekommen. Mail bekommen sie müssen prüfen ob das Bike lagernd ist!?!?!? Wieder Mail geschickt. Wochenlang keine Antwort. Habe dann schon über die Garantieabteilung dieser Homepage gebeten, sie mögen mir bitte helfen, weil ich nicht mehr weiter wusste. Diese aber meinten nur, dass sie nicht zuständig wären. Danach habe ich es mit der Rückgabe versucht um das Damenrad zu stornieren. Funktionierte nicht. Irgendwann ist dem Kundendienst anscheinend eingefallen, dass er wieder mal antworten könnte. Er meinte, dass Bike sei nicht lagernd und ob ich ein anderes will?!?!?! Ich dachte ich spinne!!!! Geld bezahlt aber plötzlich soll das Bike nicht lagernd sein?? Nach wie vor stand auf der Homepage lagernd. Habe dann gesehen, dass Varun auch auf Amazon verkauft. Habe über Amazon versucht Kontakt mit Varun aufgenommen. Auch diese Dame meinte, sie könne mir nicht helfen, da sie nicht für Varun arbeite. Gut, ist halt so. Die nette Dame hat mir am nächsten Tag trotzdem nochmals geschrieben, dass sie eine Email Adresse gefunden hat, die nicht auf der Homepage stand. Sehr nett!! Habe natürlich sofort eine Mail geschrieben. Leider keine Antwort. Dann kam wieder eine Antwort von Kundendienst, dass das Bike jetzt auf einmal versendet wurde. Ich habe wieder geantwortet, sie sollen mir mein Geld zurück überweisen und die Bestellung stornieren. Diese Mail habe ich -zig mal geschrieben. Wurde nicht berücksichtigt. So ging das Spektakel ca. 4 Monate und auf einmal haben sie mir mein Geld überwiesen. Gott sei Dank. Also Finger weg!!! Lieber etwas mehr Geld investieren, dann erspart man sich dieses Theater. Nach einiger Zeit habe ich eine Bewertungsmail bekommen. Habe direkt auf der Homepage bewertet. Wurde aber nie online gestellt. Anscheinend werden nur positive Bewertungen angezeigt.
Diese sind wahrscheinlich KI-generiert. Mein Mountainbike funktioniert soweit gut. Habe aber erst 200km drauf. Bremsklötze habe ich nach 100 km getauscht, da diese bei jedem Bremsvorgsng quieschten.

Finger weg !!!
Ersatzteilbestellung am 18.8.24 mit Paypal bezahlt.. am Anfang kamen noch Ausreden, das Steuergerät muss dem Bike angepasst werden.

Seit 1 Monat warte ich, habe jetzt Käuferschutz beantragt.
Ich rate jedem vom Kauf eines Varun E Bikes ab!! .. wenn es fährt, alles ok, aber wehe du brauchst eine Reparaturteil..
Nie wieder Varun!!
