Does what it says on the box. Easy to build in if you wish. One minor issue. Recommended maximum pan size is 20cm - the size of the white circle on the top. I have a 22cm pan which heated up OK on max power but then failed on simmer with an E5 error. This is due to overheating of the IGBT which I believe is an important electronic component. So, a don’t buy if you have large pans.
