I ordered older sewn Loeb editions (Strabo) from Vangsgaards Antikvariat and had them shipped from Denmark to Australia. They arrived promptly, extremely well packaged, and in excellent condition.

The care taken in wrapping and protecting the volumes was obvious — exactly what you hope for when buying antiquarian books internationally.

A thoroughly professional and trustworthy bookseller. Highly recommended.

Jeg bestilte ældre, syede Loeb-udgaver (Strabon) fra Vangsgaards Antikvariat og fik dem sendt fra Danmark til Australien. De ankom hurtigt, var særdeles omhyggeligt pakket og i fremragende stand.

Den omhu, der var lagt i indpakningen og beskyttelsen af bindene, var tydelig – præcis hvad man håber på, når man køber antikvariske bøger internationalt.

En yderst professionel og pålidelig boghandler. Kan varmt anbefales.

Vangsgaards Antikvariat er virkelig godt. Altid fremragende service med empati. Omfattende viden om bøgerne, og vejledning er altid venlig.

Went in to ask if some books i had could be sold, the man at the desk asked to (understandably) see the books. I started taking out the books and, without looking at the books, he told me he had no plan of even considering buying the books because they already had so many. I found this rude, as if they had no plan to buy anything to begin with, making me take them out just to present them to him was a waste of both our time. I’ve also noticed that the store sells used books at (almost) full market price or even at times at a higher price. Saving grace though is their dvd’s are sold at a more reasonable price considering their quality.

TLDR; Come for the dvds, only buy their books as a last resort.

Dårlig service fra start til. Var ikke til stede efter aftale. Gav ikke en reel vurdering af gamle bøger. Og sluttede af på en ubehøvlet måde. I det mindste konsistent. Sætter aldrig mine ben der igen!

Fandt bogen via antikvariat.net. Rimelig pris og hurtig levering.
