The sales rep and all the employees are horrible. Dont give a crap about NOT showing up wtih deliveries. Always short our order or give us wrong product. DO NOT WORK WITH PAUL. Save yourself trouble and take your business else where
Poor customer service, lack of care for the customer
They constantly short your orders, or mispick, then don't even try to fix their mistakes. They make their customers try to hunt down the food they were to deliver. I can not recommend them as a supplier for your restaurant, try GFS.
I miss FSA
I miss FSA. US Foods is consistently inconsistent! It is difficult to nearly impossible to keep our menu consistent due to product shortages or non- availability.
poorly run company
poorly run company, we have to project orders 6 months out and then they short the items or do not have them. They tell us there is a national shortage but we contact sysco and they have the products. We have double the work load because they cant get their job done. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. We are not a small company we order 700,000.00 worth of food a year and they dont care.
Poor judgement and inferior customer service.
I work for a local daycare center and on Monday US Foods made a partial delivery. They never delivered the rest of the order. I spoke with customer service several times, they were lovely but ultimately not helpful. This includes a conversation with US Foods on Facebook where they simply stopped responding.
However US Foods forgot to re-deliver the rest of the order. They subsequently refused to rush an order to get through until our next delivery.
When I spoke with them to put in our delivery for the next week, I requested that they please attempt to be there early in the day after not delivering our entire order and not rushing us any supplies. I was told they could place a note and confirm nothing.
They did not arrive early and we were left scrambling for yet another day. Absolute astoundingly poor judgement on US Foods part. I would never, ever recommend them again after such an incident.
US Foods Promotes Unsafe Driving!
A US Foods delivery driver has been parking illegally outside my office for months, causing unsafe conditions for not only my employees but also other drivers and pedestrians in the community. There are plenty of safe and legal options, however they involve a little extra walking so the driver doesn't use them. I've complained to their management, and even though they admitted that this drivers actions were illegal, they were still defending him and refusing to correct his behavior.
Unreliable Service/Delivery
We are part of a large franchise education group and have been having issues with delivery for the past several weekly deliveries.
US Food driver has been delivering after our school closes at 6:30 pm sequentially as of late. Luckily, we had people (who we had to pay OVERTIME) on site in the past few times this happened. But, not this week. Staff leaving site refused the delivery and US Foods just CANCELLED THE WHOLE ORDER. We have 150 children on site to feed and now have to run to different markets to supply this need. Unacceptable.
We are in Buda, TX, just 10 minutues away from main US Food's site. US Foods' delivery manager has profusely apologized and promised it would not happened again in the past 3 weeks and this continues to happen.
Our kitchen closes at 3pm and we have no available staff to cater for food in the afternoon at all. This is a huge logistic problem for us.
US Foods had always delivered in the morning for us - we have been clients for years now.
We are not sure what has changed, but it was for worst.

US Foods has the worst drivers! I hardly ever get my truck on time anymore & when I finally do get it I'm always missing something. I have customers walk out of my store because I don't have products that I ordered but don't get! I would never recommend this company to anyone!
Do not buy from US Foods
Do not buy from US Foods, they look down on and discriminate small businesses. We used to be a long term customer, ordering fro them for almost 8 years. And then the pandemic hit and our representative changed. First, they would not let us buy frying oil because we weren’t able to keep up a weekly quota (since our business slowed in the pandemic). Then our new representative helped us order the wrong thing (frozen chicken drumsticks when we asked for fresh chicken leg meat). On top of that, we were also overcharged on another product. When we asked for a refund or a credit on both products, they once again denied it because we weren’t able to keep a weekly quota. And then they denied us service based on the same excuse. We are a small business so times were very hard for us during the past year. US Food made a mistake but instead of apologizing and giving us back the money they essentially cheated from us, they gaslighted us and kicked us to the curb. Although they might not think very highly of us, this experience was very detrimental to us. Will definitely never work with US Foods again, even if they beg us.
Unless you're a giant Chain, they just do NOT care about you!
We used them for our restaurant for a while, until the customer service got so bad we felt we needed to go elsewhere.
Our Rep never returned phone calls, texts or emails when we had a question about products.
Our Rep's supervisor never returned phone calls or emails when we were concerned about the customer service our rep was not giving us.
Then ... they randomly, suddenly, without notice DOUBLED the required/agreed upon CONTRACTUAL amount we were required to purchase to get their trucks to deliver products to us. We do not use frozen products and most certainly didn't grow extra space for all of the extra products they were forcing upon us! (We might have had the opportunity to figure something out IF the Rep had given us a heads up - but he said NOTHING until we called him to inquire why the order wouldn't go through. So we were given no warning, only a BUNCH of excuses - and we all know about excuses!)
Don't use this company. Try to find a small local company (we did!!) ... they'll treat you like you matter!

worst customer service ever. Sysco do a much better job. they never brother to tell me that my Rep is no longer with the company and no new person has reached out to me. bad bad business. RUN

I get some items for my restaurant from US Foods. Most drivers are super nice. However let’s talk about my salesman. Terrible. Actually use to be pretty good until he seen I wasn’t gonna fall for his crap. And no wonder their prices keep going up they don’t use common sense when it comes to routing. I can throw a rock to the restaurant nest to me and they don’t deliver is on the same day. And we use to be on same day. They will change your day without you even knowing. And you cannot talk to a manager. So I don’t think they have one. I e ask to speak to manager before and they send me straight to my salesman. He definitely ain’t no manager.
The worst gloves ever made
The worst gloves ever made! I use the monogram gloves at the restaurant i work at and you have to go through 6 pairs to get one that has all the fingers or wrist cuff still attached
Unreliable, slow pickers.
This place is not very good. Turns out they give customers a rating between A to F, based off how much you order and how often you order. If you’re a E customer they will skip your delivery if the driver runs out of time. The sales rep was useless and made false promises. Tried to pick up order will call and they made us wait almost 2 hours.
