My grands ages 2 and 4 were having their first experience in big water. We stayed 7 days and each day they gained more confidence with the Fred Swim trainer, starting with hold on to the pole as the steps come down to by day 5 they were all over the pool not wanting anyony to help, they loved the complete freedom of "swimming" on their own. No tipping or leaning back. Very easy to inflate and deflate within a couple of minutes.
