This has been a horrible experience and I will be sure to let friends and family know to look at different companies if ever needing to replace windows in their homes. The 1 day installation I was promised started 10/2 then came out again 10/7 and I'm still waiting on 3 windows and trim work to be done.
Damages to trim & porch, no body has called me back to let me know when this will be completed.
I have called multiple times and emailed as well but No response

Very unhappy with communication of the company and installers. Last week I was scheduled on a Thursday but on Tuesday the same week they called me and said they overbooked and had an opening on Wensday the same week!!! From 12pm-2pm at 1pm I called the dispatch to see what was going on and she told me that I was scheduled for 2pm-4pm!!! They showed up at 330pm. I took off work and lost my overtime which nearly $800 just because of their poor communication. Then I had a separate install of an entry door scheduled for today at 12-2 THEY SHOWED UP AT 10AM WHILE I WAS SLEEPING!!!!!!! At 11 I woke up to find they came rang the doorbell called me left a voice mail. When I called them back they said they would back at 3-4pm.... I called the dispatch she had no clue what was going on and during the phone call I texted the number that had called me at 10am and the response I got was "We will need to reschedule it

The people representing the company were easy to talk to, kind, and thoughtful, the work was done quickly and well, and I am glad to have had them improve my home with their windows.

We had Matt talk to us about what would be done to put in our new windows and back doors. We were shown what the windows would look like and how they would work. One of the doors was late in arriving, but were had ZERO problems with the installation--no messes left behind and I'm very glad we'll save on energy summer and winter and my husband won't struggle with storms and screens as the seasons change!

First the crew was late. I had already lost 2 hours of work unpaid. No respect for my time. Then they couldn't finish and were supposed to come back a few days later but i couldn't change my work schedule.
I asked the sales two to contact them and change it. Have not heard back and it's been a wrek. They need to correct the window they put in the wrong spot, change trim from black to white in the back of the house, clean our carpets they left filthy, move our bed back where it is supposed to go. The patio door already doesn't work. At first it knocked when it closed meaning the door isn't lined up properly and was hitting the frame as it closed. Now it doesn't open at all. They left marks on our existing trim around the windows on the inside. They scuffed our walls in several areas. Our entire inside of the house has just been professionally painted. They trampled our brand new landscape of plants and bushes. They left sharp debris all over the outside and we have a 1 year old here. They blobbed the chaulk, looks like a5 year old did it. They left our front door and 2 back windows that were already replaced open with the screen door present all day while my air conditioning was on. My air was running solid for 10 hours and their excuse was they needed to get in the house. I left the garage door open and the garage entry door unlocked for them. No excuse. I expect them to reimburse me for that day's bill. It was 81 when i came home, the thermostat was set to 72. It played catch up all day long. The sales rep has yet to contact me in regards to the fix to these issues. He came to inspect our issues but has not responded as to a solution that is satisfactory to us. The reviews are now seeking to be accurate when he assured us hoping meeting that they were resolved. The worst part is that the quality of the windows is fair at best. We also were forced to pay up front, deposit and financing, and now i see what a horrible mistake that was. No way to hold payment until the job is done correctly. Would not recommend this company at all.

This company will call you several times and email you until you sign up or block them. Trust me, the bad reviews are true. My installers showed up three hours early. They were filthy dirty, no sign that they worked for Universal. Not on their shirts, not on their trucks. They were outsourced. No ID to prove who they were. They installed my windows and left a huge mess behind. They did not move the furniture back and literally left my front door wide open. They were jerks. They took my screens with them. I called customer service, installers came back (10 minutes). The one installed yelled at me for having him come back and threw my screens at me. Both screens were damaged beyond repair. Obviously, this was malicious. I called the company and was told "Nothing we can do". No apology for the entire situation. Lucky for me I only had them install two out of thirty windows. It's not worth the money you save. Spend a little more and get quality windows and service. I wish I did!

They provided a beautiful door, but it arrived and was installed late. Communication was poor and non existent. Trim was wrong color and screen door was wrong, opening from the wrong side. They did our windows during covid and the experience was okay. This was awful, however.

Set up an appointment for estimate at a booth at a fair. They never showed or called. I called them and they said they had nothing in their system even though they asked for both my wife's and my phone numbers and my Email. ??. They asked if we wanted to try again. No Thankyou.

I absolutely regret contracting with Universal Windows for our replacement windows and patio door.
We have a manufactured home which had original windows with molding (kinda like paneling) that butted up to the windows on the inside which were old and weathered. They cut out the old windows and threw away the J-Channels on the outside of the windows. They then inserted the windows INSIDE the moldings not bothering to square them or put in any shims to keep the vinyl windows from bowing or warping. They sealed between the molding and the window but NOT between the molding and the studs. After they finished you could see daylight between the molding and the studs allowing both air and water to come in. The patio door jamb was bowed towards the door and pushed out at the top so the screen door kept popping off the track.
After much complaining they did come back and reworked the patio door. NOW it’s bowed away from the door and you can’t latch the screen door. Total crap job. The windows they did nothing with other than dumping a bunch of caulking between the trim and the siding. It’s coming up on fall pretty soon and I have no protection from air infiltration! Along with all that, the aesthetics on the outside is totally horrible. A kid could have done a better job. There are so many things wrong about this job that I could keep going but you should get the gist.

I have reached out to them several times since their last visit and they totally ignore me. Do yourself a favor and steer away from these people.
