Written Cancellation and Money NOT Refunded - SCAM
We really wanted to go to Cinque Terre from our cruise ship, but every tour was so expensive. We found one from this company that fit our budget. When we asked questions about the tour either through WhatsApp or email, we would get comments like, "read the descriptions, it's all there". Well, obviously, we had questions and their descriptions weren't answering our questions. They were also very insulting and were calling me rude for trying to get more information. Like they say, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Even with their rudeness, we went forward and paid for our tour online, which I guess, went through PayPal to the company. After looking further at their website, and finding toll-free numbers that didn't ring to them and email addresses the returned, as well as not being able to find much information on the company, we decided to cancel. Their policy asks for a written cancellation, which I did through email. Rather than accepting that we wanted to cancel, they couldn't believe that we would want to do that by their comments. I told them I wanted a refund as we found something else to do. They said that since the payment came through PayPal that they had to refund through PayPal, less some fees. I argued that, but after a couple of days agreed, just to get some of my money back. Then they said that they didn't have the money in their PayPal account, so couldn't return our money and asked us to send our bank information. NOT going to do that. LMAO. This went on for a few more days, then they went silent. I called American Express and disputed the charge and was refunded the money. Be very careful working with Andrea!
