they poison their customers

The first 2 orders went great. After that it was horrible. Everything you order comes defrosted. Pork, Seafood, comes soggy and rotten. You pay for packaging with ice and they don't add it. I ordered 100 dollars worth of items they are all not edible and can poison those who eat them. They want photos of packaging and then they give you money off your next order. I tried to trust them but they are making my family seriously sick.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Started off with my order being dumped in entrance to my building for anyone to take. Got worse from there. Gifted fresh exotic fruit. No instructions for care included. Wrote to customer service for guidance. I followed their instructions. Later I realized my fruit was rotten. Wrote to customer service for replacement. Was told no that’s not their policy. They then told me completely different instructions on how to care for the fruit. I pointed that out. Said they would further discuss. Never heard back from them. When I reached out again, they said no would not replace. Do not order from this terrible company.

If you want to guess if your order will…

If you want to guess if your order will be delivered then you should order with Umami Cart. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone as the customer service is absolutely horrible. Getting a status update means emailing and waiting for hours with there being limited hours for help. I've been playing email tag with them and haven't gotten any information and the orders were supposed to be delivered days ago.

The first and the last order

I recently placed an order on Umamicart.com for 24 bottles of Kimono Sparkling Apple juice, and my overall experience has been nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I received my package, it was evident that things were amiss.

First and foremost, a staggering 3 out of the 24 bottles were broken upon arrival. While I understand that accidents can happen during shipping, I expected a more responsible and customer-oriented response from Umamicart.com. To my dismay, they offered a mere 11 dollars in store credit as compensation for the damaged products. This is hardly an adequate resolution, considering the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the shattered bottles.

But the issues didn't stop there. To my utter shock, upon inspecting the remaining bottles, I discovered that they were all expired. This is an egregious oversight on the part of Umamicart.com, and it raises serious questions about their quality control and commitment to delivering fresh products to their customers. Selling expired products is not only unethical but also poses a health risk to consumers.

Adding to my frustration, my attempts to contact the seller regarding the expired products went unanswered. It leaves customers feeling ignored and powerless when facing legitimate concerns.

All in all, my experience with Umamicart.com has been a regrettable one. The combination of damaged goods, inadequate compensation, and the sale of expired products has left me with a strong sense of disappointment and dissatisfaction. I would strongly advise against shopping on this website, as their questionable business practices make it an unreliable and untrustworthy option for online grocery shopping. There are plenty of reputable alternatives available that value their customers' satisfaction and prioritize quality control over profit.

Odre No: 94087 and Order No: 94090

I placed 2 orders on September 2, 2023 totaling $190.81. Other than the order confirmation, I have not received any more notifications on the status of my orders. I asked for HELP through their chat function on their website but have heard nothing back. This is pretty awful service. It leaves me wondering if they will even issue a refund if they fail to deliver on my order.

Had a missing item from my first order and they refuse to come or send me one. They offered me a $10 discount on my next order, I will not be ordering or supporting this company again I feel like they are calling me a liar without doing directly.

I am emailing to report an issue with…

I am emailing to report an issue with my order, again—my order arrived thawed and warm in transit. I was promised a store credit that wasn’t the value of the items that were lost, and now they don’t want to respond to any sort of emails regarding my issue. I even received an email saying that they were sorry, but that they were not going to help me and only gave me $5 off an order that costed hundreds.

I really need your help. Please do not shop with this company as it is very clear that they do not want to help you if any problems happen to you. If umamicart would like to respond and help, I would appreciate it.

Umamicart is great until it's not

Umamicart is great until it's not. I liked this company to order Asian groceries. I especially like having a website to order natto from. I remove two stars for two reasons. The first reason is that the majority of the time they won't bother calling or knocking on the door when the food has arrived. They don't give a specific time window as to when to expect them. This means that any frozen food is just sitting in the box, with the ice packs, and you just have to hope that's good enough.
The second reason is because back in February I ordered 4 packs of natto, as well as other products, and they forgot all of my natto. Their solution to this was to give me a coupon code for $16 off my next order, rather than just resending what was missing from my order. This upset me, but what upset me even more is that there is a minimum on how much products can be in the cart before even being allowed to checkout. This means that I had to spend $30 more than I intended to. I usually shop locally but like to include Asian food in my diet, which means they were not my primary source of groceries. It really felt like I was rewarding them for their mistake.

I placed my first order with them and they have no customer service

I placed my first order with them just last week because they were the only online store that carried fresh rice noodles. I wound up ordering a bunch of things that frankly, I could get locally but their prices were good, but I wanted the free shipping as well. Well my order arrives and everything was fine except that the rice noodles that I wanted were nowhere to be found. They offered me a store credit, but I explained to them that I really wanted the item and asked them to ship it to me, but , no, they didn't feel that they needed to correct their own mistake and try to keep a new customer. They did give me a refund but if I wanted to order the rice noodles again then I would have to pay a ridiculous shipping fee, for their mistake. I know I sound a bit like a Karen but that is not good customer service so I will not risk shopping from them again. I am a reasonable person that understands that mistakes happen, but it's how you remedy those mistakes that matters.

No Customer Service. Check the other reviews

The Shime Saba I bought from Umami cart came OPENED and Marinade leaking out. I tried contacting their support and no response. They don't have a support number at all.. only a support box built into their website, which they probably never check. Shop at your own risk and don't expect your issues to be resolved. I will never buy again from this website.

Problem with my order 62026

Hello, I did not have a good experience with Umamicart, my order arrived damaged and thawed.

They refused to do anything to help, and I am really shocked because of the fact that they said they would help regarding this issue. I am a first time customer and will be telling my friends and family not to shop here. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to help, seeing that they would want to help before. Please advise me on what can be done about my issue.

Good first order experience

Fast delivery, secure packaging, fresh products. Customer service very quick and knowledgeable in response to questions about the food. The recipe cards that came with the groceries were a pleasant surprise.
