First time visiting this store today. Great selection of products and super prices. Nice, clean and easy to shop. Staff member at door asked if I needed help and took me items I required. Dominic on till very polite, friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit this store again

We visited the Chelmsford store to purchase DofE equipment. The assistant, Jeremy, was incredibly helpful offering valuable advice regarding boots, rucksack and sleeping bags. He even adjusted/fitted the rucksack correctly for us. Thank you Jeremy, I’m sure we’ll be back to purchase more before too long.

I bought a pair of hiking shoes and waterproof jacket today. There are so many hiking shoes there. Rene is very helpful and patience to explain how I should make my choice. A very good experience for me.

Great store with lots of hiking stuff. Have bought numerous hiking boots and related equipment here. Always really knowledgeable staff who are also friendly (some better than others and definitely better during the weekdays). Today we were served by Jeremy who is great and has served us before. We were looking for a new rucksack and Jeremy knew SO much about all the different rucksacks and how to fit them for the invidual. Great and we'll be back.

It used to be Blacks it’s now ultimate outdoors & looks exactly the same inside, good range of hiking boots, trainers & hiking sandals. I was looking to buy a pair of the Keen hiking sandals, that were in the sale. Unfortunately they didn’t have my size in the pair I liked, but Jason brought out another pair not on display, they were perfect.

Had a great experience yesterday (15th Aug) at the Chelmsford branch. Went there to purchase few items for DofE with my daughter. Had really good service in the footwear section and got good advice and help.
We needed other stuff like (rucksack, liners, sleeping bag etc. ) and we were served by another person who could not have been more helpful and friendly (sorry I can't remember his name - think it was John). He was able to recommend exactly what we needed and gave great advice.
I normally don't bother writing reviews so it just shows how good the service was here today.
