Fantastic product, well built and fantastic customer service. It wasn't quite right for me and the returns process was very smooth. I may purchase a different item soon and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

What can i say, i bought the departure board, but was worried about setting it up, even when they have videos. I contacted Russell, who sent me a email, wrote it out in simple steps, that my young grandson would have understood, i followed his steps, and with in 10 minutes, it was up and running, now that's what i call customer service. As for the board, i love it, its like being at your railway station. You can have the board showing Tubes timetables and audio sounds, and buses, ferrry, it is a must have. You do not have to be a train nut, its a talking point in your home, also you have your bus time ect, so you know when to catch it. I highly recommend UK Departure Boards, and the wonderful team they have.

I was bought this as a leaving gift from my previous job and to say its since brough ours of entertainment is an understatement - especially with the Voice Pack! It's also useful on a day-to-day basis when planning rail journeys. A must-have for any rail enthusiast!

I have a really fun time just looking at my departure board and it’s really good to have it on randomise mode because you get to see other stations departures your less likely to look at

A superb product. Quality of the board is first class and very easy to set up. The variety of so many stations and ability to make a bespoke look makes this a must have product for any transport fan. Support from ukdepartureboards has been very easy.

Great products I have all 3 boards which are in use 24h a day, the boards are easy to setup or change and combined with the voice packs it’s like being on the actual station, also like the alarm warning so you never miss that train again. I also found the customer service
second to none.

This review is much delayed, but better late than never I suppose. I purchased the miniature Desktop Departures board last year and, despite the cost, I have not regretted my purchase for even a moment. It runs flawlessly off a LTE hotspot, and very accurately replicates the experience you'd get from boards at actual stations - the customisation is fantastic too, if you want to personalise it more, although most non-standard options require a subscription. When I reached out to the owner to request a very niche feature I was pleasantly surprised he was more than happy to implement it, which for me completed the experience. Overall, very happy with the device and would encourage anyone on the fence about getting one to go ahead and take the plunge.

I got the UK Departure Board as a gift for my son, who turned 11 years old yesterday, and he's on the spectrum.

Unbeknownst to me, it involved a lot of technical know-how. I should have activated before his birthday. As I couldn't get this running on his birthday, it led to a meltdown, which almost ruined the whole day.

I sent an email for support and had zeroed my mind that I might not get a response till the next day. To my utter surprise, I got an email in few hours 🥰

Oh, I was glad!

Not only did I get a reply, there was back to back correspondence walking me through the process again.

I would like to say a big thank you to Russel Pirie for supporting me through it all. My son is a train lover and this gift means a lot to him. He is autistic and just couldn't understand why I didn't get it working. You saved his birthday, and I'm so grateful.

This is a unique device showing departure times at UK railway stations and Underground stations in real time. It will appeal to any rail enthusiast and commuter. Buy a small one to put on your desk or a large one to put on the wall. Very reasonable price for something that is really unique.

I came across an article on BBC website and next thing I knew: I was ordering a Classic Departure Board ! I ordered it in the morning and next day it was delivered ! Well, first WOW comes from me for the fast delivery! I purchased it as a present for my son who is a bit (understatement) into his trains and 2nd WOW comes from him: He absolutely LOVES it ! The board is exactly what you would see at a real train station and it is very well made. Elinor Hamilton voice pack is worth the extra cost. Huge congrats to Russel, who is the creator, for coming up with the idea and manufacturing it in UK. I strongly recommend the product to everyone who loves trains. My only wish: could you also do airport boards? :)

A good niche product that always serves as both a talking point and a useful tool for regular commuters.

However, be warned functions can be removed at the whim of the manufacturer. The Time/Clock was removed and placed behind the "Premium" paywall. This was a core feature, present on all marketing and a key reason to purchase, it served as a clock in my hallway and is present on real departure boards, not a special feature, a core function of a departure board, telling you the time.

For a basic function removed from a £300 product months after purchase is extortion. (Imagine if your oven wanted £6 a month to show the time).

After questioning the decision I was told in February they would be "reviewing" premium options but no change.
Trustpilot, do I trust them? Not anymore.

Response: As far as I am aware, a time function (as you can see on many real life Tube boards and DB product photos) was not a premium feature at time of purchase.
Premium only mentions "Full screen clock" & "New clock fonts"
T&C's are in fact far worse. It implies they could stop supporting at any time unless a subscription is present.

"Subscribers and purchasers of boards and service should note that BOTH elements are required to achieve functionality. A board can not be purchased as a stand alone item, except as a replacement or additional device, an ongoing subscription is required to achieve functionality of the board."

If I could give more stars I would!
This is an amazing product for all train geeks and non geeks alike. Plus, Russell went above and beyond with fantastic customer service. The board is brilliant in its own right but has voice packs and so many other features like news and weather. I’m blown away!!! A word of warning. If you are looking at other products…. Don’t risk it. You get what you pay for and anything else is inferior!!

I bought the small board and the voice packs and while the board was fun it quickly became apparent I wouldn’t be using the sound very often as it is very repetitive. As it happened I needn’t of worried as as soon as the free period elapsed all of the features switched off and were only available for subscription. £6/ month is a lot to pay for something especially if you only want the device as a clock with occasional gimmicky sound. If they had an inexpensive (£1) subscription for just the sound I would have subscribed if only to justify the out lay for the now useless voice packs.
All in all it’s cute and now mute.
