Assembly instructions are a mess — no video, no real support
I purchased this car rack/carrier last week and the assembly process was the biggest letdown. The instructions are poorly written and leave out a number of important nuances — I'm an engineer by trade, and even I struggled to piece it together. A step-by-step video would have solved most of this, but the company hasn't produced one. The few videos I found online were for a different version of the carrier, so they didn't match what I was actually building and created more confusion than help. I do have my own video documenting exactly where the instructions fall apart, happy to share it.
Customer service made this worse. There's no way to reach a real person directly — no phone line, no chat — just a ticket system with a 48-to-72-hour response window. That's far too slow when you're mid-assembly and stuck on a step.
To top it off, the company ran a flash sale two days after my purchase, dropping the price by $50. When I reached out about it, they refused to refund the difference.
Overall: a frustrating buying and setup experience that better documentation and basic customer support would have easily fixed.
