I received an unsolicited call, supposedly from the University of Colorado Health, asking me to confirm my date of birth and other private information. I don’t know if this was UCH or not; it was an unsolicited call…. but whether or not it was UCH… The specific caller was either committing fraud and trying to steal my information or it was UCH and actually promoting scamming and stealing from the elderly and people who are naïve and vulnerable. If it was UCH… by requesting private information federal and state agencies urgently recommend to people not to give… UCH is promoting people to risk everything by making these calls requesting private information .

Was This UCH, promoting criminal fraud and skull Duggery…. UCH, phoning patients dependent upon UCH for the patients’ life itself… these unsolicited calls requesting identifying information … private information … are promoting elderly abuse and scams Requesting private information from unsolicited calls can directly result in patients and others to reveal private information resulting in the loss of their life savings.

Procedural bureaucratic nightmare. I almost died because it took them 6 months to schedule the surgery I needed. Then they left me without the full procedure finished so I needed a second surgery. Then after I moved, they denied me my medical supplies that I needed because they never completed the full surgery that I needed.

Frustrating Experience with Poor Communication and Billing Issues

I had a very disappointing experience with UCHealth. Scheduling an appointment took far longer than expected, and once I finally got in, the visit felt rushed and unorganized. Communication was poor, and I had to follow up multiple times just to get basic information about my results. What made things worse was the billing process—it was confusing and didn’t match what I was initially told. Trying to get clarification only led to more frustration, as no one seemed willing to provide clear answers.Overall, the lack of coordination and transparency made this experience stressful and frustrating. I would not recommend UCHealth based on my experience.

These people are uncaring and incompetent. It took months for me to get an injury properly looked at. I'm trying to get an ultrasound - my order was sent in 2 days ago, and they claim it won't be processed for another week to 10 days. My husband's order was sent in yesterday and he already has an appointment. My condition is acute, his is not.

As someone who is worked in social…

As someone who is worked in social services and within the system for 7 years this institution is the most disgusting billing institution I’ve ever come across. These people tried to rob 2451$ from me, 3 years after a date of service. I called them 6 different times explaining I had insurance at that time and they kept telling me I did not and they would be sending me to collections. My insurance called them multiple times explaining I had insurance . My insurance had to file a complaint against them due to them saying I did not (despite the fact that my literal insurance was verifying my insurance). They did nothing of any sort to support me during all this. They simply kept stating I owed them money and was trying to get free services. Once my insurance filed a complaint against them , suddenly it was uncovered that I did have insurance (after 6 months of them threatening to sue me). Do not come here . They are disgusting and will attempt to deny your insurance, and recoup funds years later. They do not want to support , help or heal you. They want your money.

UC Health is absolutely the WORST!

UC Health is absolutely the WORST!! I work for a school district in Colorado Springs and we have the unfortunate mandate that UC Health is our medical provider. I frequent many different schools within the district, and as a result, am exposed to many different germs. I, (in the past), have contracted sinus infections, so I know what the symptoms are. Fast forward: I am on Spring Break as of today and am supposed to travel for the Break next week. I have the extreme symptoms of a sinus infection and tried to get an appointment with my primary Doc, and he was not available. I made an appointment with a tele-doc, (her name is Jennifer Carrol, PA). During the appointment, she made the determination that my symptoms are not sufficient enough to warrant a course of antibiotics, even though my past records show that this is the correct course of action. I asked to speak with her supervisor and Jennifer Carrol gave me a fictious name of a fictious supervisor!!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED with UC Health! I even told the PA, (Jennifer Carrol), that I was absolutely disappointed that I had to pay a co-pay, and SHE was going to get paid, for a complete waste of time and money. Her response: Hope you have a good day!
REALLY!!!!

Worst experience in my life!

I went for their face and body services and it was just horrible and expensive. As soon as you ask some questions about their work they become defensive and answer with a bad attitude. The work was also terrible. 0/10

UCHealth is limiting access to services in order to boost profits

I have been a patient of UCHealth for several years. In that time, it has become increasingly difficult to receive services within a reasonable time frame. Want to see your doctor? Wait for six to eight weeks. Need imaging? Be prepared to wait a week or two for the results. Need to see a specialist? Wait for over two months.
UCHealth is increasing profits by limiting access to services. For a non-profit, that is borderline criminal. Your health is far from their highest priority.

Still No Results After 5 Weeks

I had a manometry done at this facility, and as of yesterday it has been five weeks with no results. I’ve never waited this long for any medical procedure in my life. Not being able to swallow food or liquids has been an ongoing struggle, and the delay has made things even more difficult. I really need the results so I can move forward with scheduling the surgery that will help my condition.

This level of delay and lack of communication has been extremely frustrating and concerning.

UC Health's TRD/Spravato Psych Dept

This is regarding UC Health's TRD (Treatment Resistant Depression/Spravato/Ketamine) Psychiatry Department:
UC Health's TRD department just informed me they have a "5-7 month" waiting period with "70 patients" ahead of me. I wanted to voice my opinion that this definitely does not meet the critical needs of TRD patients w suicidal ideations needing immediate intervention. In fact it falls extremely -and shamefully- short of that expectation. I ***STRONGLY*** recommend patients go to my Spravato clinic "New Pathways" in Montgomery. They are EXTREMELY efficient, expedient, compassionate, & professional. It is a FANTASTIC spravato clinic! I was able to get an initial appt within 7-10 days & was able to start my Spravato TX within another 7-10 days. (Yes they take insurance.) I cannot say enough good things about the "New Pathways" clinic. To make acutely-ill TRD pts w suicidal ideations wait 5-7 months is inexcusably abhorrent. I've had 67 life-changing & life-saving Spravato TXs over 2 years. And I can say w certainty that some of those 70 suicidal TRD waiting-list patients may die waiting 5-7 months at UC Health. I STRONGLY recommend New Pathways over UC Health for this particular TRD condition & treatment. Fortunately my TRD is well-managed at this time so I have chosen to stop my spravato TXs for now. But I take great comfort in knowing that should my TRD flare/exacerbate in the future, I know I could immediately get back in at New Pathways & quickly resume my spravato TXs within 10 days.
I just wanted to share my opinion on this critically important matter.

Over billing issues

My wife went to the urgent care to get a simple X-ray after a fall. They told her they had a staffing issue and she’d have to go to the main hospital building to get it done. Once there they wouldn’t see her unless she electronically signed something but they refused to show her what she was supposedly signing. Literally handed her a signature pad with no screen and no ability to read anything. After getting an x-ray and being there less than an hour they sent a bill for over $5,000!!!! For an x-ray only! And all because they were improperly staffed at the urgent clinic. Now we’re likely to have to get a lawyer to deal with this outrageous situation.

If I could give ZERO ratings I would

If I could give ZERO ratings I would. This is by far the WORST network of physicians, I've dealt with. The NORTHFIELD location has the worst network of doctors and the WORST customer Service EVER!! Do not go to the NORTHFIELD location if you are looking for doctor that is professional, has good etiquette and good communication skills, this office is NOT for you. I've seen both, Leslie Ann Thomas and Ryan Patrick Meintz and didn't feel a connection with either of them. Very un responsive to medication refills and didn't seem to connect well in general. I've missed two appointments because I feel that uncomfortable.
They won't let you switch doctor's without one of their approvals. Which is insane. You have to go outside of the network all together, which is what I'm looking to do. Not sure if they treat all patients like this but my experience has been problematic from the start. My insurance changed a year ago and switching doctor's is the worst especially when they are just in it for the pay check

Will Die if come here for Emergency

There’s 4 people in the waiting room and they haven’t seen a single person back. Three people left from having to wait so long, they have over 10 nurses or staff in the back and they’re going as slow as possible even with incoming patients making complaints and inquiries about the time it’s taking. Every single patient in waiting room had done triage but they won’t let anyone know how long it’s taking or why they’re not helping anyone. Been here for over 3 hours now and have had to step outside to breathe or get air because they won’t help you. Please don’t come here if you want to receive medical care, they don’t care about you and you will most definitely die if you have a serious emergency here.

UC Health at 64th and Mcintyre in…

UC Health at 64th and Mcintyre in Arvada. I saw physician assistant, Jessica. My husband and I were VERY unimpressed with her. I was the patient and my husband was the first one to start, let's go! I felt she did not listen! She appeared and sounded as though she judged all things by statistics and a box she put patients in. When we were leaving I told her perhaps she might consider that people she may see may have a medical background of experience and education. Her response was, "I treated you by your appearance". If I should EVER need to choose an UC facility would walk out before I would see her. Please, if you are in the medical field realize those who walk in to ser you, may be sick and not look their best!!!! I fully felt she was on her "presentation speech" of info, statistics and did not listen. We are all human beings and experts of what our symptoms are! Statictistics have their place and do not all apply to every single situation!
This written from an older EMT, as a previouswife of a physcian and worked in PSL on inpatients floors for 10 years.

Stay away. Far away.

My experience with UC Health has been deeply disappointing and concerning. What stands out most is their billing practices, which I found to be aggressive and potentially predatory.

The most egregious example was when I dropped off a basic lab test at my primary care physician's office. Without any prior warning or explanation, I received a bill for nearly $1,500, categorized as "outpatient hospital laboratory services." This type of unexpected charge seems designed to blindside patients who are simply trying to receive routine medical care.

In my interactions with them, I've found that attempting to dispute or question these charges is futile. They appear uninterested in addressing billing concerns or correcting potential errors, even when the charges seem questionable or potentially improper.

Based on my experience, UC Health seems to prioritize revenue generation over patient care and transparency. Their practices represent everything that's wrong with our healthcare system – focusing on maximizing charges rather than providing accessible, affordable care.

For your own financial well-being, I strongly recommend seeking medical care elsewhere. The stress and financial burden of dealing with their billing department simply isn't worth it.

UCHealth Stapleton - no interest in care…

UCHealth Stapleton is only interested in how much money they can make and has no interest in your care. Dr. Mark Wisthoff was never available and when I called in an urgent situation they said he had 48 hours to get back to me. The office manager was as rude as anyone can be. Care is not their primary objective. DO NOT go to UCHealth if you really need care.

Endoscopy Lab

On Aug 12, I went for a routine Endoscopy which was probably not needed in the first place since my symptoms were not serious, but was led to believe this was for determining whether I needed surgery, which was the process 5-6 years ago. Which I later I did require and which was immediately successful. That was Rose Medical Center, not UC Health. At this latest procedure, they not only explored but went ahead with a procedure that has caused more discomfort and concern than when I went in.
Here's two things to know:
1. Calls to reach the lab have been complictaed and time consuming, getting told different numbers, pushing too many numbers and only being able to speak with an intermediary to the providing doctor who then gives his advice back to me through the assisitant. That, of course, leads to absolutely no immediate feed back which starts the entire mess of the commuciaction process of retruning messages. Awful system.
2. But here's the bottom line: I believe they "fixed" something that did not fixing and. in doing so, created medical issues that I NEVER , EVER had before.
