Don't sign up for their mailing list unless you want to receive their emails until the end of time. I placed one order with them and it took ages to arrive. So I tried to unsubscribe from their mailing list at least 4 times, but still receive their spam. Really unprofessional!

I ordered two items from Turn Black, some balloon trousers and a buttoned top with a frill neck. I asked for a different waist and length for my trousers and they were so accommodating, checking the measurements (as what I’d sent wasn’t right!). I knew the order would take a while to arrive as they were made and posted from India, but they arrived quicker than I expected. They arrived yesterday and they are beautiful, they arrived perfectly pressed in a lovely tote bag and are lovely quality: Really happy with my items and the responsiveness of the turn black team.

I ordered Dehradun set and some more tunics from Turn Black. They customised it as per my measurements and requirements so promptly and most importantly so PERFECT… i love their material their service their fit … overall the best brand to buy BLACK dresses…. Love u team Turn black keep doing the good work …

I made a purchase on their official site, but due to pricing errors and incorrect shipping charges on their site, the company unilaterally canceled the transaction even though it had already been confirmed. Despite this, I have not received a refund to my credit card for over a month. Their customer service has also provided misleading information repeatedly, and the company cannot be considered trustworthy

Ich habe keine gute Erfahrung gemacht. Nach dem Paket in Deutschland angekommen ist habe ich erst erfahren das ich bei 236€ on top 95€ Steuer zahlen muss was beim zahlen absolut nicht transparent war, habe ich das Paket verweigert und trotz Verweigerung auf Grund Steuer haben sie mir die Steuer übernommen aber ich wollte trotzdem nicht die Ware annehmen. Also wenn man das Paket verweigert zahlen sie das Geld nicht zurück. Finger weg von diesen unternehmen. 236€ sind weg und ich hab kein Paket angenommen.

I had a wonderful experience with Turn Black. I ordered a Zema skirt a month back and by the time it arrived, I was away in Europe. I came back after a month and when i tried the skirt, it was very loose for me. Since it was more than a month, I was not very hopeful of getting an exchange. I called the customer service and spoke to Archana. She immediately put my concerns to rest and sent me an exchange request. I am very happy with the “ customer first” policy of the company. Archana tells me that the company’s values come from their founder.

The Zema skirt is absolutely brilliant! So well structured and attention to detail is perfect. I am a True black fan for life. Thank you!!

This review is just for their customer service experience! What a wonderful team!. I have ordered their Indian summer long skirt. Based internationally, my experience with several vendors have been a mixed bag but NOT turn black team.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your outstanding support. This has been one of the most seamless, efficient, and pleasant shopping experiences I’ve had in many years. Kudos to the team for being proactive, supportive at every step, and so patient.
On top, you kept following up for my measurements since this has been customized, something that’s unheard of.

Do not use this company. I bought a dress several years ago and it was awful. The return process was even worse, so I put it down to a bad purchase and moved on.

Over the following years, they have repeatedly bombarded me with emails, often multiple times a day. I have unsubscribed several times and blocked their email addresses repeatedly, yet they continue to contact me using new email addresses.

This behaviour feels unethical and bordering on harassment, and the products are poor quality. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Lovely skirt and great response from the team when there was a problem which they resolved really rapidly and were incredibly responsive and helpful. Would recommend .

I paid 15,- Euro for delivery. Then DHL charged me 29.95 for Duty/Tax for delivering. And Flocker didn‘t take care of it at all… Never ever again!!!

I’ve always had a thing for black kurtis, and Turnblack has become my absolute go-to brand! Their craftsmanship and minimal aesthetic are unmatched. Would love to see them introduce a few more kurta variations while keeping that signature slick, stylish vibe they do so effortlessly.

Turn Black is hands down my favourite homegrown brand. I’ve been buying their designs for a few years now, and I’ve never once been disappointed.

What I really admire is that no one else seems to be making these kinds of silhouettes with this level of quality at the prices that Turn Black offers. So many brands raise their prices by 30–40% within a year of moderate success, but Turn Black has managed to stay budget-friendly. Yes, inflation is real, but they genuinely seem to think about their customers too — and it shows.

The fabrics and stitching are consistently excellent — truly spectacular for the price point.

One of the things that makes them stand out most is their customer service. Whether it’s a full-price or sale item, they always accept customisation requests — and never charge extra for them, even though they could. Once, I ordered a pair of pants at a discounted price and later realised I needed to get them altered and add belt loops. I expected them to either decline (since it was a sale item) or charge for the alteration, but they happily made the changes and sent them back at no extra cost — not even for delivery.

I know these small expenses can add up for a business, which makes their generosity and attention even more admirable. It’s this thoughtful, human approach that makes me trust them and feel comfortable shopping from their website without hesitation.

I truly hope they value and appreciate the incredible team behind the brand — especially the craftspeople — because they are doing something amazing.

PS: Every single piece I’ve bought from them has looked even better in person than in the photos (and the photos are already great!).

I love much of this site’s style. I bought “The Lady with the little dog dress” and it is astounding…. Quality is +++ Sizing is +++ Style is out of this world IMHO. It arrived wrapped in tissue inside a branded tote bag-in black of course! My only issue is not on the company…. I got billed by FedEx for tariffs….

One dress I ordered uncustomised is lovely. But I ordered a custom fitted skirt to my measurements and it was too large for me. I emailed straight away but didn't hear back until the following week when I email again - I think it went to their spam folder. Almost immediately they responded to the second email and I sent through a video with the too big skirt. They've now said they will send me a new skirt, which I greatly appreciate that I don't have to return the skirt to be tailored as that would be very expensive for me. So I might update when the second skirt comes but other than a slight hiccup with communication they've been lovely. I'm not sure if you could order custom piece and expect it to be perfect if you're ordering internationally like me and they're just making it to your body, so I appreciate it. It would be good also if they could put which currency you're seeing for the dollar currencies, as I assumed because I was on their Australian site it was in AUD but it was US. And I didn't realise until the figure appeared in my bank account.
