Trugreen did not always come on time. Sometimes had to call to get them out. Paid extra for grub treatment for Japanese beetles. Worthless. Had just as many beetles as ever. Workers did a poor job of doing complete lawn. Workers were trained very little. Could not answer most questions. Cost is extremely high. More than twice as much as other lawn care companies. Results were no better or worse. Did one of my treatments in extreme heat during extremely dry time. Told me to water my lawn to desolve crystals. You can only contact the main office. Cannot talk to your local service. Also told me on an email that they would do my lawn again next year and bill me my credit card if they didn't hear from me. Had one bad time cancelling trugreen. Worse lawn treatment company I've ever had.

After calling to cancel TWICE, and still being billed which was a huge hassle and took 2 weeks to get credited. I just received notice via email they were on their way for another service. When I called just now to cancel AGAIN and complain, I was told my account was “saved” from cancellation late in May. I never asked for or approved the “cancel of my cancellation” At this point it’s clear they can not be trusted, it’s bad enough their service does not come anywhere close to the results you get by doing it yourself. Their technicians are very friendly, and they try hard, but the product is inferior and it doesn’t kill many of he weeds at all, even after 3 years.
Buyer beware, even when you cancel they still show up and bill you. I can’t believe they haven’t been sued over this, they make it all but impossible to cancel, how is this not fraud?

I just discovered that I can go in to my account on line to get the reports. They used to come on the door. I called and asked for a supervisor to come out because I was ashamed of our lawn. Darsell Robinson came and called me to let me know he was here. I met him and walked the front and back with him. We saw no sign of aeriation which was to happen a couple of weeks ago, only a little strip along the front street. They aeriated today and put down grass seed. and will come out in a week or so to do weed killer for the third time. Darcell Robinson was very good! He looked at the entire lawn with me and explained to me and was excellent! Thank you Darcell!

My neighbors ask me what’s wrong with my yard? Doesn’t that say it all? I’ve had them back a few times to address the unexplainable condition of my lawn. Even the technician had no idea and put in an additional request for a service call by his superiors. They’ve dragged this out while saying “let’s see if it recovers”. Not exactly what I expect when paying for a service that guarantees a green, weed free lawn. After the next two prepaid services are performed, I’m done. Going back to Walmart or Lowe’s and getting the Scott’s products. Anything is better than TruGreen. My lawn does not look like I pay a service.

I paid a year for my dad. They canceled about 8 times. I canceled told them to not contact him he has dementia. They go to his house. I tell them we are not interested. They go and do his yard. The only way I talk to someone was to say I was a new customer. I went to grass masters. Wonderful people.
