I would highly recommend Trethowans for the very professional service I received during a house sale. From initial contact and phone conversation, I was then assigned to Mark and Jennifer who were fantastic and always kept me in the loop, responding promptly to emails and any questions I had, which was very reassuring and i would not hesitate to recommend them.

Avoid Trethowans, Poole like the plague. I have been a client of Dickinson Manser and latterly Trethowans for nearly 40 years and I was extremely disappointed with one of their partner’s attitude. The Partner, Residential Property sat on remortgage paperwork for weeks and weeks and weeks and didn’t have the courtesy of replying to emails. I have subsequently taken numerous re-mortgages and a purchase to another local firm of competent solicitors. The partner’s delay could have lost me a fixed rate deal but he had the temerity to say he was irritated with me because I contacted another member of Trethowan’s staff who was recommended to me by a landlord friend to see if they could deal with my paperwork in a professional and timely manner. In the end I had no option but to collect the lender’s unattended paperwork from Trethowans and drive it to another local frim of solicitors.

Having used several solicitors over the years, I consider myself reasonably experienced, and I understand what to expect. And then I met Adam Scott of Trethowans. What an exceptional person, and obviously a supremely experienced solicitor as well. I can think of no higher accolade than to say that I would consider no one else should I require his speciality services again in the future. The experience of dealing with the firm from the first phone call to the end of their service was faultless, too. Look nowhere else.

We had our initial meeting in October 2024 but due to illness it was not until the New Year 2025 that we were able to proceed. From then on everything was handled very well.
