After completing a brilliant 4 weeks in Nepal with Travelteer I can confidently say that this has been one of if not the most enriching experience of my life. A fun, challenging, engaging and incredibly important programme. Extremely well organised and managed by Sean and Ming who are always there with the biggest smiles to answer any questions however big and small. A special mention to Naresh who helped make this experience so memorable, he holds such a friendly and warm personality that rubs off on all and is incredibly informative and helpful to all volunteers. The program is unbelievably beneficial to local communities and schools and is the perfect blend of school work, agriculture and local development work. The weekends allow for free time to explore the beauty of Nepal with your fellow volunteers, in a friendly and warm environment that Sean works so tirelessly to create. Could not recommend this experience enough!
Amazing! Thank you!!
I had an amazing time, I did the tour in Morocco before 2 weeks volunteering and had an incredible time. The support from the UK co-ordinators was unmatched and how everyone was able to help with projects was really fulfilling.
Morocco 🇲🇦
I had such a great time travelling to Morocco with Travelteer . Everything was really well organised, which made the whole trip feel easy and stress-free from the start.
Best experience everrrrr!

So good, I had to extend my stay! Made friends for life and had a great experience volunteering at the turtle sanctuary. The staff are so lovely and helpful can't wait to come back :D

The experience was eye opening and I learnt a lot, will love to do it again.
A life changing experience.
A life changing experience.
I did my full placement year with Travelteer from September 25 to September 26. This meant I spent 3 months doing research preparation from home, 6 months in Sri Lanka on the Mental Health programme, collecting data and then I am currently finishing my 3 months back at home, completely my research report.
During my time in Sri Lanka, I took part in various projects that included working with different vulnerable groups, learning about natural medicine, observing in hospitals and more. This meant that over the 6 months that I was there, I was able to get a detailed insight on perspectives and treatments for mental health in this country.
The staff were one of my highlights from my experience. Every single one of the staff in Sri Lanka were incredible people who wouldn’t think twice to help you if you needed it or be an ear if you needed someone to listen to you. They are the kindest and funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. One of the staff members who was crucial for my experience was the country manager, Ruchi. He was supportive for any issue people may have experienced, whether that was personal or through peoples worries about the experience. He would always make light of anything, and could make you laugh if you were having the worst day. One of the main things I valued from him is that he listened to any feedback I had about the projects that I was on. He would want to listen to every idea you have because he was always looking to improve and I think that is admirable.
Due to me being there for such a long period of time (which in hindsight doesn’t feel long at all), there was a lot of opportunities to improve the projects I was working on. This means at the end of the weeks when we would have a group debrief about projects and how people were getting on, you would be able to give any feedback you wanted without fear of your ideas being ignored. It was very fulfilling to watch the change that you directly make.
Over the time I was in Sri Lanka, I was able to experience most of the projects offered and every single one of them are amazing. You are always an active member of the team and your work is always appreciated and impactful.
I couldn’t recommend it enough. The people you meet are incredible. The environment, community and country is beautiful and the programmes are insightful.
I’d do it every year if I could.
The memories
The memories, the people, the experiences. All of them will hold a special place in my heart. It was structured really well, issues resolved immediately and management being extremely friendly. I would do it all again in a heartbeat
Nepal
Overall, I had an amazing trip and a genuinely positive experience, even though it turned out to be quite different from what I expected going into it. The activities and overall experience weren’t exactly what I had imagined, but they were enjoyable, memorable, and worthwhile. As a social work student, the experience has definitely changed my perspective on some things in life and gave me a greater appreciation for different people, circumstances, and ways of living.
A special mention goes to Sean, the coordinator, who was always positive, approachable, and genuinely tried his very best to accommodate everyone and ensure people had a good experience. Ming was also friendly, helpful, and supportive throughout, as was Naresh, who was always willing to assist when needed.
On the way back after volunteering, there was a minor issue. I hadn’t realised that I would need to arrange my own taxi from the bus stop to the B&B. When I arrived, several taxi drivers approached me, and I felt that they were trying to overcharge me, which made the situation a little stressful after travelling. However, this was only a small inconvenience and did not take away from the overall experience.
I’m really glad I took part and would like to thank the team for all their hard work in making it such a memorable experience.
Incredible experience
My experience volunteering in Nepal was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported. Sean, Ming and Naresh were fantastic coordinators throughout the trip. They were always friendly, positive, and reassuring, making everyone feel comfortable and cared for. Their enthusiasm and support helped create such a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
What an experience!
My experience volunteering in Nepal was everything I hoped for and so much more. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, the staff and coordinators went above and beyond to ensure that both I and the rest of the group were supported and able to get wherever we needed to be.
The experience itself involved a wide variety of meaningful activities, including teaching, building greenhouses, constructing walls for local schools, and organising games and activities for the children. Every project was well planned, while still allowing us the freedom to bring our own ideas and approaches, which made the work both rewarding and enjoyable.
The coordination team in Nepal Sean, Ming, and Naresh, worked tirelessly to ensure that every volunteer got the most out of the experience. They made me feel incredibly welcome and supported from the moment I arrived. I would especially like to thank Naresh for his dedication in coordinating the school wall construction project and for always taking the time to help organise any activities we as volunteers wanted to undertake.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is considering volunteering but may still be unsure. I truly feel that I made a positive difference, learned valuable lessons, and made friendships that will last a lifetime. It was an unforgettable experience, and one I will always be grateful for.
An Authentic Nepal Experience
I thoroughly enjoyed my volunteering trip to Nepal. My main goal was to connect with local people, and Travelteer made that possible by going beyond the major cities and supporting communities in remote mountain villages.
While the experience is not always entirely stress-free (stomach issues can happen!), it is incredibly rewarding. The programme offers a great balance of construction work and teaching, alongside meaningful interactions with local residents. There is also plenty of free time to enjoy the activities available around the accommodation. And sometimes, a gorkha is exactly what you need for a little extra boost!
A special thank you to Shiva for her warm welcome, and above all to Ming, Naresh, and Sean for their invaluable support, kindness, and dedication throughout the trip.
At times, I felt that the daily schedule could have been communicated a little more clearly, but this is only a minor point and does not take away from what was otherwise a truly enriching and rejuvenating experience.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who is still considering it ; you won’t regret it.
Amazing experience
Merci!
All round great experience
All round great experience. Think the volunteering is better in big groups where possible. Sean and Ming were brilliant coordinators, always going out their way to look out for others. Naresh was also brilliant as a coordinator and incredibly helpful across several different projects aswell as being a great friend in the group too! Both us volunteers and Travelteer should feel lucky to have them about!

Vietnam with Travelteer
Vietnam with Travelteer has been an incredible experience. The projects were tough but rewarding and fun. The coordinators Paula and Sean provided incredible support, guidance and companionship. On the wildlife project We worked close with animals, cleaned and preserved green spaces, eco farmed and worked on clearing and bettering the wildlife conservation. Accommodation and staff were amazing. The coordinators always had a social planned for the night which is greatly appreciated and we always had great fun. 5 start experience all around
Great work being done!!
Great work being done!!! Sean and Paula were amazing coordinators. Love to also see the local community involved. Amazing experience couldn’t recommend more.
Sri Lanka tour/volunteering
This was such an incredible experience. My first week was on tour and Livvy was such an amazing coordinator. She made sure everyone was alright and pushed people through certain fears (such as Ella Rock) and made the tour an incredible experience. Volunteering was such a rewarding experience, it's something I will never forget and cannot wait to hopefully do it again along with other volunteering opportunities and places that they offer🤗
Best time would recommend to anyone

I had an amazing time in Sri Lanka with Travelteer. I taught English for 2 weeks and loved it. It was very well organised and you have your own time to chill or explore. The staff and coordinators were fab!
Travelteer is fab
Been an absolutely fabulous time where I know I’ve made so many core memories. Came in with a big group and was accommodated well throughout with particular mentions to coordinators Leah, Hollie and Livvy who were genuinely just the best throughout it all. Medical programme was so enriching and quite indicative of what I imagine clinical years of medical school to be like during the mornings; with a view of seeing the effects of med during afternoon sessions and the Coast2Coast has been absolutely great
On our Coast to Coast tour
On our Coast to Coast tour, we had two amazing coordinators who took amazing care of us. Hollie and Leah were both super comfortable to be around and gave us such a brilliant experience of Sri Lanka. Very grateful to Travelteer for providing this opportunity.
