Came through this website before I chose Travel Talks and had good ratings. Booked tour for July 26 but had to bring date forward to March 26. Date showed available on website so altered the reservation through their modify button- got confirmation email - all go - sent them emails asking about pre accom and end dates, got replies , no mention it wasn't running. So 50 days out, we booked air fares from NZ and other non refundable trips... then we got an email 2 days ago to say tour now not running... sorry... we had non refundable booked airfares and now absolutely gutted and so disappointed in this company.. now got 17 days with "what the hell do we do" in the Balkans... our dream holiday shattered. Warning it may show available on website and you get a confirmation but it might not be running 😉

Great company and excellent staff. Just came back from 10 days Morocco tour. Our guide Abdul is a gem of a person. This was my first trip with TTT and won't be the last. Already planning to book Turkey and Balkan routes next year

We had so much fun during our trip to the Balkans. We met funny and happy people and our guide Simon plus Ike our bus driver were the best. We discovered history trough scenic views and cities which was more we could have hopped for. Believe us, the water in the lake is not that cold! The French canadians Sylvain and Kareen

I have done travel talk tours before and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately when I booked my sri lanka tour with them it was not advertised that they would be contracting out the tour to a sri lankan company who were terrible. The tour guide 'Anjelo' was useless. He did not follow the itinerary provided which meant we did not get the third jeep safari promised. He was poor at communicating and lied/misled us on several occasions. The main instance involved the hike and jeep safari. We were told we had to pay 36 dollars for both the hike and the jeep safari. ANJELO confirmed the day before that the hike and safari were in the same naational park. Ultimately i did not really want to do the hike as I had a pulled ahamstring and the weather was very wet aand cold which made the hike dangerous for someone injured. However as anjelo told us both were in same place I got up at 4.15am as instructed and drove in a van to the hiking location only to be told tray there was no jeep safari it had all been a lie. When we confronted anjelo about this he got defensive and angry didn't apologise for lying to us and would not give us a refund even though we did not want to hike in the rain. In the end a few of us chose to go back to the hotel but I want recompense for this. I emailed travel talk directly on the day about this and received no response hence why I am leaving this review. Other negatives and things to think about was... there is a LOT of bus travel for such a short tour and the bus was TINY with no shelves for bags and hardly any leg room. Anjelo did not do the group meal on day 1 and basically tried to end each day ASAP to get away from the group leaving us all too just eat in the hotel even when food there was bleak. Did not go to bazaar and arts crafts centre as promised. No 3rd safari. Every single temple or safari was much more than advertised online. Never given info tje day before to allow us to prepare accordingly ie get out cash, snacks etc as hotels often in middle of nowhere. Colombo hotel was horrendous as had super loud music playing until 2am on both nights we were there and reception just didn't care. Had this tour booked for nearly a year and so disappointed. Elephant safari was really good and the cave temple was interesting also but just too much bus time. Itenary needs looking at and refining if tour is going to continue

We are a couple in our early 60’s who have just completed the 12 day Turkey by Gulet tour and had a fantastic experience. Our guide Aykut was not just incredibly knowledgeable but delivered the information in a fun and easy to understand way. We have done tours with other companies but would go so far as to say he was the best tour guide we have had. The sights and travel experiences were made all the better because of his wit and character backed up by our great bus drivers Ahmet and Osman. Our tour exceeded our expectations; Turkey is vast and beautiful with varied sights and scenery. Loved this trip and sharing it with a wonderful group of travellers who are now friends. We will definitely be doing more tours with Travel Talk.

Our tour guide Aykut made our Turkey experience absolutely fantastic! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about his country that he helped us fall in love with the cities and countryside, the cuisine and people. We had careful, safe and helpful drivers Halil and Cemil, both of them friendly and experts at navigating our bus. The tour itself introduced us to a country we hardly knew anything about. The route was really ideal: a mix of big city, towns, countryside. Istanbul has so much to see and do and eat! Then on to historical places like Troy and Ephesus, natural wonders like Pamukkale and Cappadocia, incredible paragliding and hot air balloon ride! Aykut added so much context and history - he is an excellent story teller! Really kept us engaged during the bus rides from one stop to another. An all-round superb trip!

Balkans 9 Day Tour, started 8th May, 2025
This tour is incredible value for money, so many incredible places visited. Bojan (our guide) was funny, friendly and helpful. I was very lucky with the group on the tour, many great like minded people.
Personal highlights, Bosnia (all of it!) and Kotor in Montenegro. It's an area I had not visited before but will definitely be back.
Can only thank Bojan, the group and Travel Talk for such a great experience.
It's a fast paced tour, get your outfit for tomorrow ready and be almost packed to go the night before to take the stress out of early starts.
Additional experiences were well worth it, Balkan Meal wasn't great as I don't eat meat but still fun watching the dancing and chatting to everyone.
I'd happily do it all again.
If you want to visit Kosovo you can on the last night from Skopje but need to organise it yourself. Happy to pass on details of this if interested.

Does not respond at all. We took Balkans tour with 4-star hotels. Hotels we stayed in, most of these were not even worthy of 2-stars. None of the hotels (except one) had room temperature control (open a window was hotel's and tour manager's response), showers had mold and mildewed caulking. Manager had a thick accent, hard time understanding his english, so missed most of the history or other info on the countries. Good itinerary, good local guides in city tours ( though only for one hour). Almost everything is extra cost.

During my trip to Turkey, I had an incredible experience with Mustafa. All my expectations for the trip were exceeded. The breathtakingly beautiful Turkish landscape and the incredibly welcoming and kind people made my trip truly unforgettable.

Mustafa provided the perfect balance of guidance and free time to explore, making the tour fantastic. The air balloon ride was an unforgettable experience, and the Turkish bath was a perfect way to relax during the tour. The thermal bath was equally relaxing. The impressive ruins at Ephesus offered a glimpse into the rich history of the region. The experience in Istanbul was amazing, with its extensive history and precious sites.

Overall, I highly recommend this trip to anyone who has Turkey on their bucket list.

Japan. Overall the tour and guide was good. Extremely disappointed that a change in the itinerary was not highlighted in any form of communication prior to the start of the tour. We had wanted to see Himenji and had chosen Travel Talk as this was included at the time of booking. On our return, we made a complaint to Travel Talk and they did not deal with this satisfactorily, lack of follow up by the company and no effort to compensate for this misrepresentation. For this reason, we would not book with this company again and would not recommend them

I enjoyed the fantastic tour through the Balkan countries, seeing the scenery, towns and learning from our guide Vojin and the local guides about the causes of the 1990's war and the current uneasy state of affairs.
For the 4 days in Greece, our jovial guide Spiro and driver Zorki made the travelling very enjoyable. And seeing the emerging spring blossoms and leaves added to the interesting visits along the route.
Long days travelling, and for me, late arrivals at our hotels did contribute to my exhaustion.

My travelling family of 11 friends did the Turkey 19 day tour in June/July 2024, and it was an amazing experience (especially the 7 day Gullet cruise). Our guide Mustafa was unbelievably well organised when it came to checking in at hotels to pre-ordering lunches while touring. His deep knowledge of the history, economic and social aspects of turkey made the whole trip an unforgettable experience. His dry wit and humour was an added bonus.

I went on the Turkey tour back in October with some friends and we had the greatest time! Our guide Mustafa was very knowledgeable and kept it fun. It was a very comprehensive trip around Turkey and included Gallipoli which as an Australian has always been somewhere I've wanted to go

I have been wanting to do the 10-day Essential Turkey tour for a while now, and I am so glad I did. The entire trip was incredibly well-organized, making it smooth and stress-free from start to finish.

Our guide, Mustafa was fantastic.
Not only was he attentive and professional, but he also had a great sense of humor, making the 10days go fast. His willingness to share his extensive knowledge of Turkey's rich history, culture, and landmarks was appreciated at every stop.
We were shown the best of everything, from ancient ruins to breathtaking landscapes. Although it is winter, and therefore colder and less sunshine, he still made the tour enjoyable and found plenty of opportunities to stop for photos throughout our trip.

My personal highlights were the sunrise hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia and the visit to Gallipoli.

We met Mustafa our fantastic guide at a lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of Istanbul.
He helped us explore the famous Blue Mosque and amazing Sultan’s palace. We were able to indulge into a completely different culture with his informative and quite entertaining guidance.
Off to Gallipoli next… then the Ancient City of Troy.. amazing ….always on my bucket list!!
Ephesus was an absolute highlight and Calciun deposits of Pamukkale an absolutely unique experience to walk through the warm springs..
Konya … and the Underground cities of the Hitites.. all very interesting and great fun exploring.
Our time in Cappadocia was awesome as well..
Hot air ballooning,Imagination Valley, learning how those amazing carpets are made!! Total respect for the those weavers….
On our way back to Istanbul for our final night…
It’s sad …as we’ve built some lovely comradery amongst us.

At first, I was skeptical about going to Turkiye and with Travel Talk, but it turns out to be the best travel experience I have so far

I give credit to the tour guide Mustafa Kurt who is very professional, caring, and knowledgeable (he is like a walking encyclopedia that giving us facts and information with Turkiye). Guests will never be get bored with Guide Mustafa with his funny great sense of humour! Never a dull moment with guide Mustafa.

My experience made me fall in love with Turkiye, that I had visited Turkiye three times since the very first visit with Travel Talk. Apart from my Baklava cravings from Hafiz Mustafa and an indulgence of Turkish Bath in
Hurrem Sultan Hammam, felt like Istanbul is my home and will be always my fave city to visit! I thank Travel Talk and Guide Mustafa for showing me Turkiye.

The tour of Turkey by Gulet was an incredible experience! A beautiful country, wonderful people and sensational food and all made better by our incredible guide Mustafa! He is very knowledgeable, approachable and possesses a great sense of humour. Mustafa provided us with historical information in a captivating manner along the tour that kept our interest and excitement peaking. Touring the ancient sites with him providing key knowledge made Turkey an amazing experience I will treasure forever. He went out of his way to change bookings to avoid crowds and heat to elevate our experience. The whole tour team were amazing! What more is there to say other than our Turkey tour? This was truly a magical experience. Our Guide was exceptional and full of interesting facts about his country. The best of Turkey by Land. Really had a great time. Visited lot of places, tour guide Mustafa is a gem of a person. Everything on the trip was running as per the schedule. Delicious food and found some great friends. Totally worth it touring with Mustafa.
