Small group tour of Sri Lanka
Excellent tour of an excellent country with an excellent guide. Hotels were, perhaps unsurprisingly, excellent and our companions were too. Lovely people. Special mention for exceptional excellence goes to our driver/guide Sidney for whom nothing was too much trouble. Saw loads, will remember much. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic holiday at Capella Cruising
My husband and I had a great time at Capella river cruising of the Danube Passau to Budapest for 8 day holiday, from 9 Sept-16 Sept 2025. The management and staff were welcoming, approachable and have a friendly smile. I'd like to mention names; Mr. Stefan and his team, John, Vi, Gilroy, Huni, Miles, James, etc.
Overall, the service was excellent and highly recommended this holiday journey. We would like to come back and enjoy this fantastic time all over again.

Sri Lanka small group tour
From the moment of arrival this was a truly a VIP tour. Fast tracked through immigration and take to our hotel where we met our chauffeur and tour guide Sidney together with the other two guests, yes only four of us.
Two wonderful weeks visiting numerous sights, not rushed plenty of time to explore and ask questions. Running overtime was not a problem for Sidney he just rescheduled.
Hotels were excellent with comfortable rooms and great food selection.
Experiences included within the tour were excellent and included a Sri Lankan cooking class at Cinnamon Lodge Hotel which ended with us cooking our own lunch. The full itinerary is on Travelmavel website.

Had a great trip around the Greek Islands
Had a great trip around the Greek islands on a small cruise ship, Caledonian Sky. However the ship is quite tired and in need of modernisation in some areas. The staff, food and wines were brilliant and we enjoyed the al fresco dining. Our bathroom needed updating, it had a plastic shower curtain which was falling off, however the staff repaired it. Organised trips were dealt with in a very organised manor and we couldn't fault Travel Marvel (travel company) at all.

Internet was not reliable.

Croatian Coast Cruise on the Caledonian Sky
A wonderful cruise with interesting stops along the way. Excellent organisation ensuring everyone knew what and when events were happening, great food, happy crew who looked after us so well.
Disappointed with cabin and tried to upgrade, but none free. Strong smell of diesel and water quality in bathroom very poor. It came out red and full of rust. A crew member tried his best to correct but explained the old copper pipes needed replacing.
We did mention this in the handwritten review we were asked to complete on board as we were told someone would respond to any negative comments.
Just booked a riverboat cruise with a competitor - sorry.

The boat was immaculate
The boat was immaculate, the food very good and the staff brilliant, coping with all the changes forced upon them by fireworks, low water and excessive wind. Quite an experience.

Didn't get the important bit right. Such a disappointment.
So lets start with what you didn't do well. This was meant to be a celebration of 50 years of marriage with a particular focus on our time in Broome and a sunset dinner cruise. The hotel was not informed of this special day, so nothing from them. The dinner cruise was a disaster with Mein Host playing the fool and seemingly also forgetting about our anniversary. No safety briefing, the wrong food, a sick chef, food in peoples laps, etc etc We have repeatedly asked why our anniversary was ignored and still await an answer.

Our tour guide was fantastic
Our tour guide was fantastic. She knew her stuff, ensured we were all on time and sorted out any problems that occurred on the way. She also told us good places to eat when we had free time. We saw everything on the itinerary and had time to photograph on our stops on the way from one town to the next.

It was our first river cruise having…
It was our first river cruise having done many ocean cruises in the past. The cabin was splendid and well finished and furnished. The food was excellent and we made some good friends. Did not realise there was an upmarket version called APT and we will use that next time.

The staff were very welcoming and the ship was lovely. The food was great and all the walking tours were a great way to see all the different places that we visited. The cabin was clean and well equipped with comfy bed. I would definitely choose travelmarvel again.

From start to finish our trip firstly on the Rocky Mountaineer and then to Lake Louise Banff Jasper Whistler and so many other lovely places was very well organised and executed. Our Journey Through the Rockies
We had an amazing holiday experience with Travelmarvel Tours. Our tour director and driver were experienced and knowledgeable individuals.
Some of our hotels could have done better on facilities, but overall very comfortable accommodation.
Our trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train was second to none, amazing, attentive and informative staff;
very comfortable seating and excellent dining.

the ship is good as are all the crew. The trips seem to be well organised and show the highlights of the area.
I do feel the breakfast was not up to the standard on our last trip on Vega and the entertainment officer was nowhere near the excellence of the one on Vega.

Douro River Cruise
This was our first ever river cruise, we were blown away by the high levels of customer service. The nautical crew, kitchen/restaurant staff and in particular the housekeeping staff were amazing. The ship,obviously fairly new,was in excellent condition. The scenery was absolutely stunning. We are now planning ahead for next year, looking at the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise, obviously with Travel marvel. Only Plaudits from me.

Evening meals very disappointing
Evening meals very disappointing, poor quality and variety. Very basic small portions with minimal and strange choice of vegetables.
Evening “entertainment “ was extremely poor with untalented and incompetent presenters.
