Wow, Scary!
Wow, just wow! I've been in sales for over 15 years and everything that I was taught not to do these guys did. The representative was initially great at building rapport, asking some great open, leading personal questions to gather as much information as he could to make sure he was onto a winner. He really oversold how easy it was to get qualified whilst working a full time job....too good to be true? The overall pitch was amazing so I decided to give him more time. He then asked me to get onto a video chat to qualify me further, followed by a pre recorded video on what to expect from the course. He got me on the yes ladder, did the fear of loss on me saying they carefully select their students and there was a chance I won't be selected lol. He then tried to create a sense of urgency saying they only select a number of students every year and that I would have to wait a year if I said no this time round. He used a lot of closing techniques which started to take its toll on me.
He then presented me with an interest free loan of £7600.
When I purposely threw a few curve balls at him, he really started to loose patience, started to challenge me and got slightly aggressive saying "but you said this and you said that". He continued to challenge me very aggressively when I asked a few more questions and saying I was unsure. After trying to use my own words against me based on the personal information I gave him, I thought enough is enough (shocking!) I decided to say OK, OK, let's continue to the next call just to ease the tension he caused. The pressure was so bad!
I thought I was meant to be talking to a course advisor originally, not an aggressive sales guy.
What a shame as I won't be proceeding based on my initial experience and the reviews on here
