I have been trading futures and forex…
I have been trading futures and forex for about 8 years. Used NinjaTrader, Tradovate, Sierra Chart, even built some custom stuff in Python. So when I heard about Trade40 I was skeptical. Most "simplified" platforms are just stripped down versions that remove functionality you actually need. But this one surprised me. The execution engine is really clean. I placed a few test orders during high volatility around NFP and saw no slippage beyond what the market dictated. The order management system lets you set bracket orders, trailing stops, and even OCO groups without digging through nested menus. That alone separates it from the usual beginner platforms. I also like that the charting package, while not as deep as Sierra, includes footprint charts and volume profile which is rare at this price point. The only downside I have run into is the lack of custom indicators. You cannot code your own scripts yet. Their team said it is on the roadmap but for now you are limited to the built in tools. For my style that is fine because I mostly use price action and volume. But if you rely on proprietary algos you might hit a wall. Been using Trade40 for about 3 months now. Switched maybe 70 percent of my volume over. The stability is good. No crashes. No order rejects. Support answered a question about SIM account settings within a few hours. Overall it is a solid tool for someone who wants speed and reliability without the bloat.
