The guide was not interested in helping us with additional information and barely answered some of our questions regarding the visit to St. Peter’s Basilica. I was not informed when I bought the ticket that the Basilica would not be accessible that day, even though other websites indicated it was unavailable.
Big SCAMMERS. We went to Vatican first time and booked tours online. They sold us tour for 99 euro per person, total of 481 euro for 4 adults and 1 kid. We were late to the tour meeting 15 minutes. They didn't help us to get to the museums and didn't rebook the time whereas they had 30 minutes grace time in Vatican (I realized it later). I also found out that the tickets to Vatican are much cheaper and there are tours available for 60 euro instead. Don't book tickets online to tours in Rome. Instead buy tickets at the boxes or find much cheaper options in front of museums.
Unacceptable Customer Treatment and Intimidation Tactics
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. After booking a tour in Rome and encountering an issue with the date, I reached out to them numerous times in good faith, hoping to resolve the situation or rebook. However, they ignored my calls and emails, forcing me to send several follow-ups. Instead of providing any customer support, they refused to issue even a partial refund and responded with threats of legal action.
What’s truly shocking is that they claimed my attempts to contact them—which were only necessary because they wouldn’t respond—constituted stalking under Italian law. This was after just a few emails! It’s clear they were using intimidation tactics to avoid addressing my concerns. They also mentioned that because PayPal ruled in their favor, they had no interest in helping me anymore—showing blatant double standards.
I would urge you not to book with this company. They prioritise shutting down customer complaints through threats rather than offering genuine support or solutions. On top of all this, I’ve lost a lot of money in the process. It’s been a frustrating and disheartening experience, and I’ll be sharing my story on every platform I can find.

Our tour guide, Michael, was Fantabulous!!!
We had a private tour because my mom was in a wheelchair and I was walking with a cane. Michele was a wealth of knowledge and made our first time at the Vatican such a wonderful experience. He was da bomb!
I would highly recommend going on the tour, using ToursOfRome, opting for a private tour, and hopefully getting Michele as your guide.
