Amazing customer service, quick delivery and the floor mat is incredible, so soft to walk on and perfect for little ones crawling and toddling around on, would 100% buy from again

I am so impressed with our playmats I simply couldn’t rave about them enough! So much so, I now have 4. Delivery speed was exceptional each time which was a huge bonus. My children are older now but we have all laminate floor downstairs so decided to go with these due to not only how practical they look, but how easy they are to clean. We have a large dog so normal rugs were trapping loads of dog fur - I just sweep over these and they’re fur free! My youngest daughter uses the runner as a gymnastics mat as it’s convenient to roll up and take outside. We also have one in the kitchen for comfort- it’s a dream to stand on and spills are easy to wipe up. So to summarise…. I highly recommend Totter + Tumble and have done so to my friends and family! Excited to see new designs in the future.

Our Totter and Tumble Playmat has been a staple in our house since we had our first child in 2020, and now we have a second baby its got many years of playing left; it looks great, its durable and feels far better quality than some mats other parents we know have which gives you that sense of reassurance that your babies are safe & comfortable

Spent £300 on a Rug/Playmat.. no contact number for the company or the delivery company (DX Express) whom I’ve never heard of! Waited in all day on the delivery day. It never came. Tried to arrange redelivery for next day. It confirmed they would deliver next day. Next day came and I’ve been told by company that it’s coming the day after now.. however I’ve had no updates from the Delivery Company. So I went online, I checked and indeed they have somehow for some reason changed the delivery day without my knowing. The response rate of the customer services email with the company is slow… I’ve asked for a refund as after my experience and looking at other reviews. I’m certain I do not trust this company and now I’m worried I’ve been scammed or something.

Problems came within a few months, a patch of the playmat started to fade. It continued to fade and I reached out to customer services. I always followed the instructions for cleaning (which is a whole other issue!) but the number of emails backwards and forwards, questionnaire completed and still they were still suggesting that it was something that we had done to damage it. Eventually after MANY enraged emails they offered me a 50% refund or a replacement. At this stage I was so angry at their customer services that I was adamant that I should be offered a full refund as the product was clearly faulty. They disagreed. Many more emails. And finally they begrudgingly offered a full refund as a goodwill gesture. I had to argue that the patch of faded mat could have been down to my son jumping up and down on it (he is autistic and this is one of his stims), but this should have been totally fine according to their advertising as should be ok for kids to run, jump and play on! So I'm not sure if they took pity on me eventually to offer the refund.

Please don't be fooled by their advertising of these mats being appropriate for being easy to clean, great for kids with spills etc. When you check their cleaning guide, there are so many restrictions on how to clean! They are not hardwearing at all. You can't use cleaners on the mat, no hoovering, even be careful with using water on it! It is not at all what their advertising would lead you to believe.

I've taken the refund and will not buy one again. Please be wary as I definitely felt misled at the advertising, and was pleased to have something practical I could easily clean when kids spill things or drop food. This is definitely not the case.

Update on my review- we managed to tread some play doh onto the mat which has actually stuck to and damaged it, so it won’t come off. When I tried to clean it it has totally stuck to the mat and after gently rubbing it and has actually removed the pattern. For £160 and a mat that I have recommended to so many new mums as one of my favourite things, I am disappointed. We have had it less than a year and now there’s a big mark in the middle of it. Not ideal.

Very negative experience. I was surprised to have a thoroughly unpleasant disappointment with the company after reading so many good reviews. I ordered two mats in a space of one week and both of them arrived with a hole in the box carried by a very dodgy unmarked van. The company’s response was that damage to the box is common and expected and that there is an inner foil and that I should wash the mats anyway… The inner foil is not actually wrapping the mat completely so it doesn’t protect it in case of damage to the outer box. The suggestion that the luxury expensive mat for babies should arrive in a condition that requires washing is also curious.
Regarding the quality of the mats themselves they are plasticky and not pleasant to touch and the chemical smell is absolutely unbearable. After 3 days of off gassing in our living room we moved them to the garage and never looked at them again. Because they were unwrapped I couldn’t return them.

My kids love their play mat! It's so comfortable and they spend hours playing Lego on it, making dens and doing jigsaws. It also works really well with my decor, adding a subtle pattern without feeling 'kiddy'

Love my Totter & Tumble playmat, makes the hard tiles in my kitchen so much safer and more comfortable for my 6 month old. I got the round size so I can move it between rooms, also the design is lovely!! I had a foam puzzle piece mat for my first born which looked awful and fell apart so quickly. Customer service was also really quick to respond to my questions about sizing too!

After my 8 month old bumped her head on the cold, hard wood floor while trying to sit up and crawl a few too many times, I searched for a good rug, but saw Totter + Tumble advertised and was drawn in by the pretty colours and patterns as well as its purpose being for babies on the move. I ended up buying The Globetrotter/Rambler (they're double sided so you get the two lovely patterns for the price of one!) and what a difference it made!
My girl was on the new mat for about 2 hours when her uncoordinated movement suddenly became really confident proper crawling and there's no stopping her now. It's lovely and squidgy with a good texture for babies to grip, wipes clean, and is so pretty. The delivery was fast and packaging compact and easy, and the mat unrolled and flattened totally within a day. I honestly cannot recommend this enough, its perfect. Thank you, T+T!

We are expecting our third child on November 4th, and with that in mind, we decided to purchase a new T&T mat, given the positive experience we had with our first mat bought in 2020. Unfortunately, this recent experience with T&T has been nothing short of stressful, time-consuming, and frustrating.

First, their website could not process our payment—it didn’t decline but simply timed out multiple times. We reached out to T&T on October 9th and provided all requested details, including screenshots of the error. Eventually, we were asked to pay through an online invoice on October 10th, which finally worked.

On October 14th, we received an email confirming the order was out for delivery. However, despite providing specific delivery instructions, our delivery failed five times. Each missed delivery required us to rearrange our schedules, cancel appointments, and repeatedly rebook the delivery through an unreliable app. Each time, we were assured by T&T’s team that the details had been corrected, but each time, the delivery failed.

When the delivery finally arrived, the courier vehicle was unmarked and in poor condition, and the driver was smoking during his interaction with my wife, who is 37 weeks pregnant—highly inappropriate. Worse, the driver refused to bring the parcel to our door because the postcode was slightly altered to help them locate our house. My wife had to walk to the main road to collect the package, and the box was badly damaged on arrival.

T&T markets itself as a luxury brand and charges accordingly, but this experience was very far from luxury. After all this inconvenience, we were offered only a £30 refund, which feels inadequate for the stress and frustration caused. This has been a truly disappointing experience at a time when we should be able to focus on preparing for the birth of our child. I would not recommend T&T based on our experience.

After deciding to invest in a playmat early I am horrified to discover that their is now an infestation of silverfish in my nursery.

I had the mat down for around 6 weeks and have never seen them in that area of the house before, maybe one or two in the bathroom, and I lifted it to hoover the other day and their was 100s underneath. I live in an A rated home so their is no moisture, it must be the material and the lack of breathability as all my other rugs have no issue.

I'm devastated as I don't know what to do about this rug now, I'll likely have to give away as I don't want to encourage them anywhere in my home

What a fabulous company! Playmat is beautiful, sample service is sustainable, both order and samples received really quickly with a good courier service.

Also I have moved my product from carpet to wooden flooring and it is perfect for both!

Our playmat is the centre of our living room and all the family gravitate towards it for play time. I have a 3 year old and 2 year old but really wish I’d have had it when they were both newborns as it would’ve been perfect for tummy time. My youngest learnt to crawl on it and my oldest has a disability which means his balance and stability aren’t as good as they should be. He took his first steps on it as the memory foam really supported him and even though there were a few falls he was totally safe when landing. Worth the money 100x over!

We love our playmat, I have two children 1 and 3 and our playmat has created a play space in our open plan kitchen / diner / living room. The children loved it straight out of the box and I get complimented on it all the time. I also use this over my yoga mat for yoga practice and pilates as it has enough grip, is comfortable and I don't have to put it away after each practice as it looks lovely.

I wish I had bought one sooner as I spent many hours cleaning jigsaw mats before buying a Totter and Tumble playmat. They clean up so well and has been perfect for potty training protecting my carpets.

I couldn't love my Totter + Tumble playmat anymore if I tried. The quality is outstanding, and the designs are beautiful. I had a tough time choosing as they're all so nice, but I am going to purchase another size for a different room. They are safe and soft, and easy to clean which is always a bonus! Delivery was faster than I expected. Thank you, Totter + Tumble!

We’ve got 2 of these and just love them. Our floors are porcelain tiles so having the lovely cushioned mats for our little one makes a real difference. We loved the first one so much we bought a second for our kitchen. It’s also nice and comfy to stand on while cooking! I had an issue with one of the mats recently (my own fault) and the customer service was excellent!

We use the play mat on a carpeted floor and it slips around terribly, to the point where it feels unsafe to use. When I contacted the company I was told I must have unusually slippery carpets (its just a normal carpet!) but that I could purchase (an expensive) underlay to try to solve the problem. Since the play mat was already expensive and there is nothing about needing additional products for it to work in your home, i was not happy with the product.

I just couldn’t be more happy with their amazing customer service.

I’ve ordered an item that was on pre-order, then sadly they had stock issues so there was a delay in getting the item.

Laura from customer service team went above and beyond for me- tons of regular emails and updates and then found me one in their warehouse which was in perfect condition.

This was by far the best customer service I’ve ever got, small business are incredible as personalised responses. Would recommend to everyone and buy again!
