Not fit for purpose!

Just bought a Tom Chambers Everyday Bird Station

It leaned outwards from the middle of the upright poles after placing seeds and suet balls onto it. Pole joints are just too weak.

Hedgehog bracket - happy with recent purchase as it is of good quality.
Only fault is that the included rawlplugs were too short for the screws supplied.

I bought 2 hetton rocking chairs & had one hell of a job putting them together. Not because they were hard but the bolt holes on the arm & chair back didn't match up. Took 2 person 2 hours for one chair & 3 hour for other, we are reasonably good at DIY, not total novices, so annoying as there are only 4 pieces per chair to build, 4 screws & 6 bolts per chair. I will say though that now done the chairs are so comfy, & glad we persevered.

An update on my original frustrated review, Tom Chambers got promptly back to me after I contacted them, their customer service has been first class as they have offered me a replacement without any issues. Looks like a one off as I purchased 2 of these chairs earlier that same week and assembled them quite easily. I also purchased a Harvest Planter, which I purchased ready assembled by the garden centre, but had to take apart and reassemble correctly (Not Tom Chambers fault - In fact they are sending me the install notes to assist me,which is ace. Great first class customer service.

Hetton rocking chair, beware as holes in arms dont match up with chair back making it impossible to get the bolt through as a good 5mm out. You would expect better quality control for a premium product at a premium price, already put 2 of these together ok this week, so wasnt expecting problems with a 3rd one!!! Poor workmanship, doesnt take much, just a bit of pride in your products grrrr.

Terrible design. No drain holes, which to be fair, in most feeders, these are fairly ineffectual, but some are better than none. Filling is ridiculous. There is a fixed loop on the top of the lid. This means when you have re-filled it and want to hang it up, what you have just put in pours out from the feeding tray. Likewise, if there is any left, which I have started bringing unused feed in at night, it all just falls out onto the floor. Method: unscrew feeding tube from lid, remove lid from feeding station, screw back on. On a morning the reverse: remove lid and fill. Put lid on to feeding station hook, and then endeavour to screw the feeder back to the lid, without spilling seed you have just replenished - without crossing the threads. Very poor design. Upside: it's easy to clean. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Tom Chambers Masham Bench - good luck putting it together! Pre-drilled holes for bolts we’re out of line on one side and not even drilled all the way through on the other!! Nightmare.

Great service in sorting out some new roof slates for my Wharfedale bird table damaged in the recent storms, thank you

After the recent storms, I contacted Tom Chambers for a replacement part - on the off chance it would be available for my bird table, to my surprise it was, I paid the next day, and received it through the post shortly after. Excellent service, it is now back to its former glory.

Bought a large bird table last year and was really happy with the product. Sadly recently the high winds knocked it over and the slate cracked. I count thank Tom Chambers customer service enough for the prompt response and replacement for the replacement parts.

Purchased Bird Feeders recently and they were great value for money - will order again in the future for other garden products too.

HEAVY DUTY MEGA FEEDER....very poor design which makes it nearly impossible to clean it. Not a good example of British Design or of care for birds as many birds are affected by diseases spread by dirty feeders
Tom Chambers should know better.They already manufacture easy clean products so why not this one

I purchased an elegance bird feeder which apart from being quite expensive seems OK so far.
EXCEPT
It's difficult to work out what height the feeders will be above ground level from the details given. And my cats have proved to be more athletic than I estimated.
Solution? Contact Tom chambers and ask to buy another section of pole. Easy, I thought.
Totally refused to supply or any other spare that might be needed. Tanya, Sales Supervisor told me they come in a box from the factory complete, they don't keep spares and would not give me the contact details of the factory. I begin to suspect they're hiding the origin of the product. Made in England & won't supply spares?
Really? One wonders if they really are made in England.
Sending this to Tom Chambers but I don't expect them to be any more helpful or even reply. Seems to be a company to avoid ,sadly.
Update
They did reply to admit that the feeder is "not produced in UK'. It clearly states on webpage "Proud to be a British Manufacturer". Of what? Highly misleading

purchased a tom chambers feeding station on ebay , it was a grand , it arrived in a1 condition so we put it up in the garden , the first stabiliser fitted perfectly the 2nd one however was just to tight no wide enough so lubricated the pole and the stabiliser sadly still just tight eased it down the pole which tore off the paint work . contacted tom chambers saying we thought it was a manufacture issue so could they advise us as to where we could purchase spare parts , sadly we dont send out spare parts and can not advise you as to where you would be able to get any so like the previous review if anything goes wrong with your tom chambers feeding station you are on your own , yes i would rate the grand feeding station , but tom tom chambers customer service and after care i would give that nil surely a feeding station at the value of £70 you would expect be able to buy spare parts for it

Purchased a Tom Chambers Elegance Bird Station back in December 2018. The product advertising states that it is
"crafted from heavy duty material" and "Extra heavy-duty."

The thread on the pole has broken leaving the bird station listing to one side. Wrote to Tom Chambers customer services in June 2021 (the thread broke in January 2021) and they said there was nothing the would do. No warranty so it appears if the product is defective you have just wasted the £59.99.

My real annoyance is that they do not stand by their advertising because the unit I received is clearly not extra heavy duty!

Edit: Just read a positive review of the company in which a review described being given a replacement for a broken thread on the base. When I requested this, even to buy it as a replacement, I was told by Tanya the Assistant Sales Office Manager "I am afraid we do not stock/sell spare component parts for our feeding stations, as they arrive into us fully boxed, and the manufacturer do not supply spare parts." Very disappointing.

Tom Chambers elegance bird station: Sadly the water tray gets filthy daily from dropped seed so we have removed it as it is too difficult to clean and is not a simple task to remove. The latest is that the large metal mesh feeder tray has broken away from the welding. We went into the garden this morning and discovered it broken away and it had dropped down the pole. My husband has used some type of bonding to re-attach it as we didn't want the pain of returning it via post. How it happened we really don't know, it was fine the evening before. Sadly not the quality it appeared. The positive is the birds have been swarming on it, and just love it! Purchased originally from Oldrids & Downtown on 25/7/21 so less than a month ago!

I write in praise of the quality of my Elegance feeder unit. This is a good piece of kit which should last many years. So much better than some of the other stuff on the market. Worth the money.
I also write to thank Tom Chambers for their excellent customer service. In the process of installing the base of the feeder I damaged the thread of the base unit. Despite the fact that this was my own fault, Ann Scott, Sales Office Manager at Tom Chambers, sent me another complete base unit at no charge. Great service!!

Elegance Bird Station bought through Oldrids & Downtown. Excellent quality. Good height. Bought to replace RSPB Honeyfields Premium Feeding Station which quickly collapsed under weight of my large bird feeders and wind! Just needed to grease screwed connections to make assembly easier.

After an horrendous experience with another supplier, I bought a dovecote from Tom Chambers. I'm delighted. Well made (in the UK), good price and quick delivery. I can certainly recommend this company.
