Predatory AI gimmick
Just basic AI with a cute wrapper. Company uses bait and switch methods to encourage subscription where the free trial is actually only behind the annual subscription, and the trial is extremely short. I ended up paying for way more than I even wanted to use and the experience was more about harvesting data from you than supporting you.
When you try to contact customer service about it they take ages to respond. Because of this when they tell you oh they don’t want you unhappy and to get a refund, they know it’s already too late and the request will be rejected by Apple. On bringing up this issue up of being trapped with the charge they close the ticket. You’ll have to go through your credit card to get your money back.
Ultimately a business exploiting loneliness, isolation and mental health issues with the guise of caring.
