Absolutely appalled at the way I have been treated by Tiney. Absolutely no support whatsoever during suspension. They haven’t listened to me and have outright lied twice in their decision letters to suspend and then cancel my registration. Despite knowing I’m pregnant, they have done nothing but cause me stress with no communication as to what was happening. They have behaved like robots and do not have any sympathy of feelings for their childminders. I would not recommend them to anyone who wants to keep their mental health in a good place. Thanks Tiney, the way you have handled this situation has sent me into depression during my second trimester.

I have been working with Tiney for almost two years. As a childminder, I am very happy with the support and help provided by our agency. I also really like the app — it helps me share information about the child with parents in a professional, clear, and timely way. Parents can see what their child is doing throughout the day.

Have asled tiney to provide but they claim they do not have a bank account which seems odd ? Obvisouly is a lie but worries me whatelse would they lie about jist to get your card details

My childminder contacted tiney and convinced them to waiver the fee - dates are difficult to get on the app , first invoice was qrong but they repsond quickly to the. Hildminder so i think is a good service for the childminder side

Very informative training

We liked Laura as soon as we met her. She is naturally kind, welcoming and trustworthy. Our son has now been with Laura a few days a week for 3 months and we (including our son) couldn’t be happier. Laura provides regular updates every day on the many activities she does with our son. She’s creative, patient and clearly knows our son very well, even after a short period of time. Our son loves going there and we have complete confidence in Laura. We would thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder in or around ealing

Update to my review:

Two-critical questions remain unanswered.
1. Why was my son kept on the provider's register for weeks after the childcare arrangements had ended and after a safeguarding complaint had been filled? 2. Why was Early Years Funding claimed for weeks after arrangements had formally ended.

While I appreciate that an unannounced visit took place, the investigation response still did not address the detailed examples I provided. A single one-hour visit cannot realistically validate or invalidate weeks of documented concerns.

I hope Tiney will reflect on this feedback and consider strengthening both their safeguarding and transparency for parents. However, based on my experience, tiney is not an organisation I trust, and I would never place my child again with any of their providers.

My child attended a Tiney-registered setting, and we experienced a series of serious concerns relating to care, hygiene, communication, and emotional wellbeing. When I raised these concerns formally with Tiney, the investigation was extremely superficial. Despite detailed evidence and a very long list of issues, their “assessment” consisted of a single visit and a short conversation with the childminder - after which everything was declared “unsubstantiated”.

As a parent, this leaves me with absolutely no confidence that safeguarding issues are being taken seriously or investigated with the depth they require. It gave the strong impression that the priority was protecting the provider rather than protecting children.

Tiney refunded the fees I had paid, which quietly acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, but their written conclusion completely downplayed the concerns. The inconsistency between these two actions is deeply troubling.

Another major issue is the lack of proper oversight of provider records. Even after childcare arrangements ended, my child continued to be marked as “absent” on the childminder’s register. This raises obvious questions about record-keeping and potential misuse of funded hours.

In my experience, Tiney’s complaints process is not fit for purpose. It is bureaucratic, dismissive, and leaves parents with no meaningful support when concerns involve a provider registered under agency. Parents considering Tiney should be aware that if they ever need real safeguarding support or a thorough investigation, they may not receive it.

I would urge all parents to do extremely careful due diligence before trusting their childcare arrangements to Tiney. I expected a professional, child-focused agency; what I experienced felt more like a provider-protection service that a safeguarding body.
