TIMSONS CRAYFORD-TOP NOTCH

Had problems with nissan Duke key. Tried nissans(Acaster) Eltham se9 branch and told me 200 pds minimum and 10 day wait. Went to Timsons at Crayford shopping centre and the man sorted problem in 5 mins! Absolutely top notch service!!

EXTREMELY HAPPY.

My husband and I went to Timsons in Intu shopping centre in Derby.
Craig a staff member was amazing, friendly, polite very cheerful and extremely helpful. Thank you Craig.

I have shopped at Beaumont Leys Timpson…

I have shopped at Beaumont Leys Timpson for 5 years. Paul who is usually working on the days I go in is an absolute credit to the company. His customer service skills are second to none. He always looks smart. The knowledge he has on everything that Timpson’s do is extraordinary from key cutting, iPhone repairs, clothes, shoes, you name it he knows about it. He is always friendly and confident in his work. The specialist help and care given by Paul is the reason I shop at Timpson’s and will continue to. Thanks Paul and that is why you earn the name Mr Timpson, you are an absolute credit to the company. Keep up the good work

-10 shambolic company

The second hand of my watch has come loose. I took the watch to the Cranbourne St. Brighton and the manager said he didn't have the tool to remove the glass face. I then took it to the branch at Brighton marina and was told the guy at the Cranbourne St. Didn't know what he was talking about and there was no such tool and said he couldn't help me. I then took it to the Sainsbury's at Newhaven. I was told sorry but will have send it away for service £80 thank you. The first guy was very helpful but the other two were unhelpful and arrogant. Won't deal with this shambolic company.

Bought a bespoke wedding present for my future husband. Wrote the date as 01.06.2024. What I got 01.26.2004 what a bunch of fuckwits. Said they would give me money for new item it was bespoke now totally ruined. Thanks for nothing Timpsons

Inability to follow simple requirements

Several emails were sent to this company with regards to font type on a funeral plaque which the company was supposed to create, this simple task could not be completed the wrong font was engraved, this is the second company I had approached with regards to creation of a funeral plaque where instructions were too difficult for business owners to undertake for some reason....Rather than being mindful that they are dealing with a funeral plaque both companies failed to deliver. I am not quite sure if the business owners were illiterate and why such simple instructions could not be followed . If this was a single complaint ie issues pertaining to one attempt of ordering a funeral plaque it would not be so bad, however the additional factor that the business owners demonstrated zero mindfulness with regards to the fact that the product to be purchased was a FUNERAL plaque demonstrates a great deal of incompetency and lack of common sense.

UPDATE - Called today surprise no key was ready. The guy lied and said he called a number of time which is untrue as I’ve had my phone near me all day. He then raised his voice at me so I will be taking this further and have someone calling me from head office tomorrow. DO NOT GO HERE. I will also be going to social media and making this known.

Had an awful experience which is still ongoing. The man who works there think his name is Richard (gingery haired guy) he was quite nice to start of with was eger to help me get my letter box key fixed and said he couldn’t clap it back together but would order it for me (this was on the 27th April) in store. He said it would be ready on the Monday(29th) or Tuesday (30th).
I told him due to work I won’t be able to come until the Saturday(4th) to collect it I asked if he was the manager and he said “not anymore” and that’s there a a new guy and he said he’ll be in on the 4th.

I rang on Friday (3rd) to ask if the key was fine to collect tomorrow (4th) and he said that the manager threw all the tickets away and reorganised everything and that it’s not here anymore and he will check and to still come in on the (4th).

I come in on the 4th and he told me the same story as above about the new manager (very believable story…). I didn’t make a fuss because I believed him and he said he will order me 2 keys for the price of one. I thought amazing! He said come back in on 11th.

I’ve just gone in now it’s the 11th and what a surprise a new story! Apparently the keys haven’t arrived and I asked to speak to the manager and he said he’s away. It’s funny that the manager comes in but this guys always there! His tone changed because if I’m honest I was a little annoyed but still not rude. He was though! He acted as if I wasn’t being understanding but he told me he’d call and let me know and never did. He looked at me like I was stupid and that I implied I was inconveniencing him.

Called head office and they’ve said it shouldn’t take this long at all for keys to come and that there must be a problem in the store. Then called another local store and they were surprised it took this guys so long and apologised when it wasn’t even them!

I genuinely think that guy in the Hounslow branch didn’t want to help me and had some prejudice against me. To not even apologise when I’ve let you off for over 2 weeks baffles me. He’s a liar, rude and clearly can’t do his job properly. Oh to add…when he was looking for my ticket today it wasn’t even on the board!!! So he clearly had no intention to do anything about it.

Someone at head office will be calling me and will be looking into this guy.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against an employee at Timpson, located at Calcot Sainsbury’s for their unacceptable behavior towards me.

Approximately a week ago, I visited the store to have my passport picture taken. Regrettably, the pictures turned out to be blurry, and as I was unable to see clearly without my glasses at the time, I requested assistance from the employee. However, instead of providing help, the employee treated me with disrespect and rudeness, particularly in front of my child.

Today, when I returned to address the issue, the same employee refused to acknowledge the problem and demanded proof of rejection, claiming that their pictures are approved by the UK government. When I attempted to explain the situation, the employee became defensive and continued to exhibit rude behavior. Despite my request to speak to a manager, the employee, named Ryan, insisted that he was the manager.

Furthermore, when I requested a refund due to the unacceptable treatment, Ryan banned me from returning to the store. This discriminatory behavior is utterly unacceptable, and it has left me deeply disturbed and disheartened.

This is not the first time I have experienced such behavior at Timpson. Several years ago, at the Tesco Extra location on Oxford Road, I encountered another rude and potentially racist employee when I needed to have a key cut.

I urge you to take appropriate action against the employees involved and ensure that such behavior is not tolerated within your company.

I trust that you will address this matter promptly and take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Could not ask for anything more from a service

I was at Timpsons at Bluewater today & was completely blown away by the incredible service. Gary was so helpful. I can’t remember the last time I was in a store & received such helpful & friendly service. Thank you so much.

Terrible

Terrible. Ordered something for my son's birthday which I needed today. It just didn't arrive, and when I eventually got through to customer service they said it hadn't even been sent, because of staff shortages. If they'd let me know I could have got something sorted elsewhere, but it's now too late. Rubbish.

The last time I will ever use Timsons

Went to Timsons at the big Tesco in Wrekin retail park in Telford. Less than friendly reception but I'll gloss over that. I'm expecting 5 or 6 quid per key which is charged elsewhere, maybe a reduced price on the second. No. £10 for 1, £15 for 2 as if that is a bargain. Was it the skilled time consuming 'labour'? Er, no. I said I'll come back after iI shop which resulted in a sharp 'No, it will only take a minute'. The 'locksmith' (Timsons words not mine from their website, I doubt the training took more than half an hour) took all of a minute, I noticed no deburring which was unusual. Was then asked if I wanted a receipt. You bet, because I had very big doubts that the keys would fit, although they actually did. So why the one star? In the quantities that Timsons buy, the blanks would be £1.50 at the maximum though I expect more like £1. Add in a maximum of 3 minutes labour and checkout. Well done Timsons! You made a big mark up and permanently lost a customer who has been with you since the 1970s. Never crossed my mind that it was now necessary to shop around for a reasonable price, but you proved me wrong.

I took my watch to Timsons in Enfield…

I took my watch to Timsons in Enfield because it had stopped, I thought it needed a new battery but I was told that the battery was fine so it was probably "the works"
I said that the same thing happened last year (Feb 23) and they sent it off then to to have it repaired at a cost of £120.
The assistant in the shop agreed that this kind of repair would normally last at least 10 to 15 years but as it was outside the guarantee period (one year) there was nothing they could do for me. I think this is a case of "not fit for purpose" which you would not expect from a high street shop
It is quite an expensive watch, a "longines", a present from my late husband
The assistant did offer to quote again for a repair but I declined and i will now try and find a local repair shop that I can trust . and will not be returning to Timsons even to have keys cut

I visited the store in Oadby yesterday…

I visited the store in Oadby yesterday & was quite taken back by a young boy called Cory that served me. So helpful & knowledgable about a trade that is really overlooked these days. He talked me through all the services they offered & will definitely be going back. So good I felt I had to take time to write a review!

I paid £15 for 2 key and its not working , i asked her just to check even she is not listening to customer ??? Just shouting and said go any other store. Why? I paid just check it. But she didnot.
I will change the lock or finding anyother solution but she had very harsh behaviour

Bluewater branch a winner

Just needed a battery changed in my watch went to Goldsmiths where I bought it from quoted me 8 WEEKS to change a battery complete jokers! Saw the Timpson's branch in Bluewater and asked how long, 30 MINUTES they told me with a smile, left it with them and sure enough ready on time with a life time guarantee cheaper than Goldsmiths quoted for their poor service. Well done guys, keep up the smiles and service it's spot on!
