Balcatta store is fantastic. Staff are friendly, pragmatic and trying to get the right product for your budget and job. They are also up front about any delays for items that are listed as out of stock.

I am disappointed that a good many items I want are not in stock anywhere in W.A. whilst stock levels over east are high. In such cases it's the buyers additional cost to transport it. I realise this is a common trend now but couldn't stock levels just be normalised between states.

Basic reason for 4 stars is the Balcatta store staff.

I just feel like they have forgotten my order. I bought a wood lathe in March. It wasn't in stock - no problem, I'll wait for it.

I was told their policy is not to promise delivery at a certain date. Fine. But I don't think I'm asking too much for an estimate - am I waiting weeks? Months? More? I get one curt email. Like I was an annoyance. They said "mid April". Well that has come and gone.

I know I'm only spending a few hundred dollars, not the normal thousands for a high end wood lathe. They could automate a friendly "we haven't forgotten you and appreciate your patience..." email. I'd be happy with that. I don't want to be a "Karen" asking "where is my lathe?"

It's hard enough for women in a male dominated craft not being taken seriously. This is what happens when a retailer creates a customer service vacuum. I was going to also buy another chuck and dust extractor but I'll go elsewhere when I finally get my lathe.

Regular customer of timbecon and was always happy until now.

Picked up some items in store last Friday and they then start and eater sale on the Monday, all the times I purchased were now heavily discounted so I requested to get it back as store credit as was happy to spend with them again!

I was told a blatant no as it was past 48 hours, which is false as the fact is the sale kicked in within 2 business days.

Disappointing service especially from a regular who was wanting to keep purchasing.

Buyer beware at lack of service and care for us as customers, loyalty and repeat business doesnt mean much here.

Timbecon.com.au - shout out for great customer service. In the lead up to Christmas I ordered some tools as a gift. Timbecon got my delivery and billing address mixed up. I received notice that good were coming to Singapore when they should have been going to Hawthorn in australia. I emailed them and they found the error, said it was them that made it and sent a correct parcel to Hawthorn. The quick response, proactive solution and complete lack of fuss really made my Christmas! Thanks Timbecon! I hope to hear good reports of the tools too. Meantime, I wanted to acknowledge your excellent customer service! 5 stars guys and Merry Christmas
