Read the narrative below and weep. I simply don't understand ThreeBestRated’s (TBR’s) business model and quality control systems. If what's happened to my complaint is typical of how things go, then their badge on a website means very little. I won't be using it to guide my own searches for future contractors.
• In Feb 2018 I had a bad experience from a local firm -- an inadequate annual servicing check that led to repeated tripping of my domestic electrical system, which further turned out to be due to an unsafe installation they’d made years earlier – the engineer who came to investigate what my independent electrician had found wouldn’t listen to my argument and stormed off. The firm’s website displayed a 2017 TBR badge, so I sent details to TBR, who said they would forward my complaint to their review team.
• Two weeks later TBR wrote to me: “We have removed the business from our website based on your complaint and replaced with another best business”. I was pleased, but …
• Five weeks further on, I saw that the firm was still showing the TBR badge on their website, so I asked TBR whether this was in breach of their T’s and C’s. They said “Sure, we will email then to remove the badge.”
• A FULL YEAR LATER, it was still there, so I wrote again. TBR replied: “Sorry we can only recommend [removal]. We cannot enforce it.” I expressed considerable surprise at this, and …
• … TBR replied: “Here is the thing: we have given several notices to them to remove the badge. They are not responding properly. … We will take legal actions.”
• Earlier this month -- a year and a half later, and 2-3/4 years after my first contact with TBR -- I wrote to them again to say that the badge was still there, and had any legal action in fact been taken? The reply was: “Based on case #234561, we have forwarded the complaint to them. We are still looking at it and cannot know when it is going to resolve.”

So … may I suggest that anyone being positively influenced by the appearance of a TBR badge on a company’s website should AT THE VERY LEAST check on TBR’s site to see whether the company is still listed as one of the best three in the area.

Refused to upload my review about hannells estate agent and their excuse is it was about the Mickleover branch.
I understand all the good reviews are about a specific branch aswell as Hannells operates via it branches.

I can only assume they do not want to upload a bad review about the agents.

Your response does not make any sense at all.
Your telling me Hannells branch in Mickleover has nothing to do with Hannells estate agent. How ludicrous!

THIS COMPANY BREAKS PRIVACY LAW'S! After leaving a negative review due to their useless algorithm recommending 'worst three rated', they contacted me for information about the tradesmen. In an offer to help their website and customers, I replied. THEY THEN CONTACTED THE COMPANIES AND TOLD THEM WHO I WAS!

I reviewed YOUR company only! I could have been anyone, anywhere, referring to any company in the world in your review... When you contacted the tradesman in 'my town' and confronted them, they looked at my review and then knew it was me! You may have not told them my name, but it wasn't rocket science to work it out! Can you add 2+2 you dumb sh!ts!!! You have taken something that was anonymous and escalated it! I have now got an appointment with a lawyer. You 'BRAIN DEAD' SCHMUCKS!

Fake. I would not use them for my business. All businesses they put as top 3 are not even truly the top three. Liberals and Biden supporters.

Each staff member I have emailed has been super quick, helpful and friendly. They updated the information I needed very quickly. Great service.

The company are fantastic, they have taken really good care of me, we required some additional assistance and they were only too happy to help us.

I dealt with Melinda and she is very professional and courteous, and very responsive service.

I would recommend them to anyone.

Inaccurate - out of date information. Clearly not checked thoroughly. Recommending a Cardiff property solicitor who left firm months ago. Why would you expect people to rely on this?

Threebestrated received what could be seen from the evidence was a scam complaint from a business competitor about our business.
At the time of writing, Threebestrated have dealt amicably with this malicious and infantile attempt to discredit our 6 year succesful business operation.

I've been recommended on three best rated which reflects how good my company is & they do this free of charge. It's nice to see companies like this & I sincerely appreciate they have researched local comapanies & gave my as one of their three best rated locksmiths in swansea

Poor experience. Informed them that a company had closed December 2019 that they had given a best rated award !!!

Their response was that I had lodged a complaint about my own company .....
