What stands out most is how she takes the time to explain things clearly when something more complicated comes up, making it all much easier to deal with. Thornley Groves are very lucky to have her.

I am the owner of two apartments in Manchester and I am currently based overseas in Hong Kong. Michael has been my senior property relationship manager for several years, and I genuinely could not be happier with the service he provides.

Because I’m so far away, Michael’s support is even more important to me. He is extremely professional, responsive, and proactive. He always keeps me well informed about my properties, handles any tenant issues quickly and efficiently, and ensures everything runs smoothly for both my tenants and me. His excellent communication and attention to detail have made managing my rental portfolio completely stress-free, even from Hong Kong.

I am a landlord who rented a property out through Thornley Groves. On repeated instances they double charged me for work, charged me for services that I did not sign up for, or quoted vastly over the going rate for repairs. The challenges in agreeing repairs were frustrating for me (as the landlord) but also extremely frustrating for the tenants. We all lost because of TG’s illegal practice.

They are grossly incompetent and refuse to accept liability for issues. I spent three months arguing with TG to refund me for costs that I did not sign a contract for (they signed me up to an insurance policy without informing me, and billed me £300). This should have been a simple refund given there was no contract or agreement to purchase services. They refused to refund this until I threatened to take them to the property ombudsman. I know other people who have also rented out properties through TG, and their properties were severely damaged as TG was not completing inspections. I think I was lucky considering.

I’ve been dealing with Thornley Groves for the past three years, and my experience has always been very positive. The team are consistently friendly and approachable, and whenever I’ve had any issues, they’ve responded quickly and efficiently.
At the moment, Sam has been assisting me, and he has been very helpful and supportive throughout.
