Disappointing Reunion Villa 193 Nothing Like the Photos
We booked a villa at Reunion Florida (Resort 193) based on the very appealing photos of the property on Top Villas' website. We were deeply disappointed in the poor standard of this so called "luxury" villa. Clearly the photos were taken years ago and therefore misrepresented the condition of the property. The villa is tired and shabby and needs to be updated. We were there in mid to late November and it was cold at night. There was only a thin bedspread on the master bed and we were cold. Next day we tried to find some extra blankets and I emailed Top Villas to ask for more but they just said they didn't provide any. Really?? We then found some in a cupboard in what was a kids' room which we weren't using.
The oven was filthy. I complained and they said they'd send someone to clean it but it was no different afterwards - we could still see the same particles of food stuck in the door hinge area. The base of the oven had old burned on stains and grime. Clearly it hadn't ever been cleaned properly.
The patio furniture was nothing like the photos on the website. It was old, very worn and shabby. The cushions had very little padding so it was uncomfortable to sit on for very long.
There was a badly cracked socket on the wall behind the coffee machine in the kitchen which we deem to be dangerous and which should be urgently repaired. There was also a high level cupboard in the laundry room which had a door that wouldn't close because a tangle of electrical cables were hanging out of it. Not at all appropriate for rental accommodation. All in all this was very disappointing and not worth the money. Top Villas' response was also disappointing. They weren't interested in anything we had to say. Don't be fooled by the glossy photos. This property is sub standard and so is Top Villas' customer service.

Regarding the oven, our team arranged for it to be cleaned during your stay, however we apologise that you remained unhappy with this.

We also note that the socket and cupboard door issues mentioned in your last paragraph, were not reported to Top Villas during your stay. While we were therefore unable to address them at the time, we will review these matters with the homeowner to ensure appropriate action is taken for the safety and comfort of future guests. Time for an update.
We have stayed at several properties in the Reunion area, so we are aware of what to expect in a high traffic area. That said, while this location is great, the home needs some TLC. While you have access to everything you need for a weeklong stay, you need to know that everything appears to be in the same condition it was from when it originally went on the rental market. The best example I can give is that there is a really nice home theater room. The challenge is that 1/2 the chairs reclined and 1/2 were broken. Even more challenging is that it's connected to a DVD player. To be honest, I don't even know where to access DVDs today. This is easily resolved with a Amazon Fire Stick, but that wasn't available and when I asked the property management company their response was basically "deal with it." As a family, we made it work. We paid for the pool heating and it was worth it. The living space and bathrooms, albeit dated, were clean and the greater Reunion property is nice for long stays.
I think this is a great location, but hope the owners read this review and invest a little in updating as it's a great option for families.

Cute cottage in LaJolla
The company was great, good communication and quick to respond to our questions. Check in and check out was easy. The house was cute, and in a great location for walking everywhere in LaJolla including restaurants and grocery stores. The beds were comfortable and the linens were really nice.I would probably rent there again, with some improvements. Throughout the house there were signs of deferred maintenance. Aside from the fact that it could use an interior paint job and a deep cleaning, the faucet in the kitchen needs replacing, it is vertical loose. The low quality cookware is scratched and seen better days, finally, the couch in the living room is badly stained and very uncomfortable. It should be replaced especially if it will be used for sleeping. We were in the house for five nights and did use the kitchen to cook. If you don’t plan on spending much time in the house these things may not be an issue for others.

Bad experience!
We stayed at Windsor Island villa about three weeks ago, and we paid a considerable amount of money for our stay. The only positive thing I can say is that the children’s rooms are indeed beautifully designed—very unique—and for kids, it truly is an amazing experience to sleep in a bed shaped like Anna and Elsa’s castle or in an Avatar-themed room. Beyond that, I’m afraid I have nothing good left to say.
The villa stinks. Not “not clean enough,” not “poorly maintained”—it literally smells bad in every sense of the word.
The bedding smelled as though it had not been washed, with an extremely strong odor of urine.
The sofa in the living room was so dusty and dirty that we were disgusted to sit on it.
The same goes for the outdoor furniture.
