I’m in the National Speakers Association of Georgia and whenever I have speakers come up to me from that group at events and they say, “You seem so polished. How did you get here?” I will say, “I went through The Speaker Lab." I always tell them The Speaker Lab helps you really get organized with the business...They can really help you get organized and get started on the right foot. Whether you’re just starting off or you’ve been a speaker for a long time, be willing to invest in yourself. It is an investment but it’s to help you get better. I’ve already made back the money that I’ve invested in The Speaker Lab. So it is very much worth it. I would tell anybody who wants to get serious about it to go for it.

I took the 2 day bootcamp and learned a great deal plus reinforced a lot of other business knowledge that I had gained elsewhere which let me know that I was on they were on the right track with what I had previously learned. It's a lot of material in a short amount of time - highly condensed into 2 days but a good amount of material. many other creatives and entrepreneurs attend and hearing their thoughts and ideas and questions was highly helpful as well.

I’d recommend The Speaker Lab to anyone starting their speaking journey. Even if you’re not ready to make a big investment, there are outstanding free resources—the website, the podcast, the virtual bootcamps. I’m a huge fan of The Speaker Lab podcast. It’s practical, grounded, and filled with real stories from real speakers. It made me feel like, “I can do this too.”

I joined the Elite program, and it was absolutely worth it. It gave me the tools, the clarity, and the confidence to launch my speaking business. And I’m proud to say that I recently paid off the investment early—thanks to one big gig.

Avoid the program, dont sign a contract, remedial material and false and fraudulent deceptive practices by Founder and client services it is all about taking your money with no guarantees or refunds. I have filed with the BBB, and other agencies about their deceptive false and fraudulent practices which they have changed from "guaranteed six figure income for Speaking" to "Speaking gigs". I believe they have abandoned their building in Nashville. They will lie and cheat to take your money. The course is remedial and it will not get you speaking gigs.....you pay them and do all the work including cold calls and prospecting. If the speaker was so reputable they would supply you with contacts names and numbers for speaking. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. I will continue to fight fraud against consumers like this company.

Avoid at all costs.
The salesmen claimed to be a speaking coach who has used elements of the speaker labs program with his own students and saw much success. He called it the best program out there, again he claimed to be a speaking professional.
He claimed “most students make their money back before the program is over”. He said that SIX TIMES.
He promised 300 warm leads and day-of support to any question.

He was in fact not a paid speaker, and according to his own LinkedIn he had never even been a speaker.
1/13 of my cohort made their money back in the 6 months. She has been a paid speaker for 10 years. I was also told since I’m new I would have to do several talks for free to get my name out there. I had asked the “professional speaker” aka my salesmen about this before I signed up. He assured me this program was so good that me being new wouldn’t matter.

I was laughed at by a teacher when I asked about those warm leads I was promised.

I tried to sue them but due to their terms of service I cannot. They have a clause that legally allows their employees to say whatever they want. So all those lies I was fed, were perfectly legal and cannot fall on the company.

Shame on you Speaker Lab, they allow their salesmen to say whatever they want to get a sale.
Then show 0 remorse when they get caught for lying. They wouldn’t even give me half my money back.
Honestly I bet the positive reviews they have on this site are falsified as well.

Do not trust anything this company says, avoid like the plague.

The people in The Speaker Lab–the coaches, the Community Manager, the Concierges–walked me through whenever I had a problem. I’d shoot an email, say, “Hey, help! Red flag! I don’t know what I’m doing here.” And I would get an answer, so TSL just really held my hand through it.If you’re prepared to drill down and really chase it, if you feel in your heart that this is what you were meant to do, even if you’re even a little unsure, I would invest and do it anyway because waiting around is not going to make your dream happen. Take advantage of every aspect of the program.
And it’s there forever, which is the greatest part–when you forget something or you have a question, you can go back in the program and you can kind of re-educate yourself.

When you go into The Speaker Lab, one of the things I told myself is, “I’m investing in me now. I'm investing in my family.” So there's the cost, whatever that requires, but you know what? It's worth it because you're investing in yourself." Really enjoyed my experience in the program!

I would recommend The Speaker Lab for anyone that is interested in becoming a speaker. It’s a really great zero to hero framework. They embrace you wherever you’re at. I met people who were further on the journey, people who were just starting like me, and it’s a very welcoming community. It’s a great place to start. If you’re on the fence, because it is a huge investment, I would just say, if this is something that you want and you believe in yourself, you’re going to get the money back eventually because of the way speaking gigs are paid. This is just a really great place to build that confidence, to get clearer in your message and to network.

Very shady company. They ask for more and more money and make promises that never happen. Paying someone to teach you how to get jobs makes no sense. Speak with your heart not your wallet.

Having The Speaker Lab come alongside me, hold my hand and really give me that nudge that I needed was invaluable because it just affirmed that I had a lot of the skill sets, and The Speaker Lab allowed me to scale them. I felt like The Speaker Lab affirmed to me that there are so many like-minded people at different stages of their journey. It was just nice to have that cohort of others that were walking in my shoes, and it did give me a level of comfortability to know I’m not alone...I had underestimated how much that one-on-one coaching would benefit me in terms of making sure that I checked off my list of next steps and continued moving forward because we can easily get stuck and we can sort of talk ourselves out of ultimately getting that ball down the field...I definitely feel like I’m a part of this Speaker Lab family far beyond my training."

In March, April, May, I will speak about 35 times. I just didn’t have a way to organize that before, to really kind of put myself out there with the abstract and all that, so to be organized feels really good and came as a result of the SPEAK Framework...Because of the clarity that The Speaker Lab brings, I would definitely recommend this to my buddies in ministry and to the nonprofit leaders. Get involved in this. Take this. Get involved in the SPEAK framework, and learn how to organize so that you can easily say, "This is what I bring to the table. If you want to bring me in, here’s what I’m going to talk about.”

The free video sounds great (or you can google "what makes a great speaker" and get the same result.) Then they offer a on-one-one session for payment. You pay them - and they totally disappear. It is a SCAM. They clearly offer a service that they then fail to provide. My opinion is avoid them. Note* after posting here - suddenly they reached out to us but it was just to give us a hard sell again. No mention of bootcamp or that the account was still active, as they have stated in their response. Update. They did refund.

The Speaker Lab is a phenomenal program...I love the way that the resources are there, and then the coaches were very helpful in helping guide me through things I need to tweak and change. A lot of times, I think a lot of individuals are in their own head. They can’t see past what they already know. Getting some real insight on what you’re doing well and what you may need to tweak in order to do better was one of the benefits I got through my time working with The Speaker Lab...To this day, I go back to the modules. I go back and do refreshers and as my business is evolving...That’s one of the beauties of the way that this content was created and administered - to allow you at multiple levels of your speaking journey, to be able to get the most out of it.

SCAMMERS AND THEY DISPUTE AND TRY TO REMOVE HONEST REVIEWS. This review was removed so I’m adding it again.
I had a highly disappointing experience with The Speaker Lab due to deceptive sales practices and misleading information. Their sales representative, D, assured me that the program offered a "money-back guarantee," which he explicitly equated to a full refund if I could no longer participate. This assurance was a key factor in my decision to enroll. However, when I requested a refund after being unable to continue, the company refused to honor this guarantee, claiming it was not the same as a refund policy.

This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of integrity. Additionally, attempts to resolve the issue were met with unhelpful responses, further eroding trust in their customer service.

If you're considering The Speaker Lab, be cautious. Their sales tactics can be misleading, and their promises may not hold up when it matters most. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

I think there are a lot of great organizations out there that help people build their communication skills, be able to present well and practice the art of speaking in front of audiences. Where I think The Speaker lab is different and a great resource would be for people who want to build a speaking business because The Speaker Lab teaches you all of those concepts that I mentioned earlier, but in addition to that, gives you the very practical steps to find the right people to contact, how to send out those emails, how to make those phone calls, what to say in a gig to have that one gig turn into two and exponentially grow from that, how to price your product – All of the things that you need to build a business as a speaker and make a living doing that.

"I had Eric Rheam as my VIP Facilitator and I met with a bunch of your other great coaches, too...I learned a lot; I learned what my niche was and what I really needed to focus on. From there, I learned how to tweak my speaking skills and how to take those speaking skills and also make it a business. I learned a lot of business tools and strategies. Step by step, you had all the things that I needed, and you did it in such a profound way that it was easy to absorb, and it really was inspiring. I learned a lot and really valued everything I learned."

The SPEAK Framework helped me get clear as to my messaging. Also what was really helpful, and something I loved about the SPEAK Framework and the program, was really understanding the tools I need to be a visible professional speaker, including getting help building my website and speaker reel. Getting help from The Speaker Lab to build those tools were really helpful to me...I’ve seen myself becoming much more confident...Whenever I’ve had a question about something or if I felt discouraged and needed some support, I post in the community, and there would be people responding and giving me support and encouragement.

I've done two events so far, and they’ve just been amazing, and the feedback has been great. I owe it to The Speaker Lab. It was getting the confirmation that was so helpful; It helped everything moving forward...The Speaker Lab provides every tool. It’s not just how to be a speaker; it’s the business aspects of it. The tracking mechanisms, the opportunities, the profiles, the platforms. Everything is inclusive, and that’s what I love about it. With The Speaker Lab, you get everything!

"I really loved the process because by the time The Speaker Lab shows you how to begin to grow your business and reach out to people, I realized, 'I do appreciate the step-by-step way it was laid out because now I am better prepared and have a much better understanding of how to do the business.'
