I'm glad The Room Place's closing!!!

I'm glad The Room Place's closing 6 Indy locations. I have had nothing but problems with them with no resolution. I loved shopping there in Illinois. Always fast prompted and professional service. I ordered and paid for furniture in June 2023, it's March 2024 and I still haven't received it. I was told I'd get a call from a manager which never took place. November 2023 I went back to the Plainfield store to see if I could find something comparable to what I ordered and no I didn't. I had to come out of pocket which I said upfront I'm not doing. I finally canceled the order and when I called to do so the lady who answered the phone at the Plainfield store had a bad attitude then asked why am I canceling the order. I was appalled and shocked because of you knew customer service you'd see why and Instead of I'm sorry this happened let's make it right she I guess cancelled the order which I'm still receiving calls, texts, and emails about nor have I received my refund on my card. Too many places to shop to get treated this poorly from a big company.!

Highly Disappointed

The visit started off bad with my wife and I waiting nearly an hour before someone helped us. There were only 2 customers in the entire store. The young lady who finally helped us was nice and helpful. That was the lone positive. There was an issue with a possible credit from a previous purchase. The manager took our information down and promised to contact me the next day with the answer. We never have heard back from her!!! It is not a surprise as she seemed annoyed that she had to be disturbed. The only reason we stayed in the store was that they had an item not available anywhere else and it was too far to drive to a different location. We have bought furniture from Room Place multiple times. After this, I doubt we do again. If we do, it will not be at that location.

Sales lady was wonderful and spent a…

Sales lady was wonderful and spent a lot of time with me and I know we’ve had some bad weather this weekend, but the communication was horrible was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. Said it was in stock here in Indy and yet the truck couldn’t leave Chicago to come to Indianapolis with the furniture that I was told was already here, the person in Chicago did not get a hold of me until 20 minutes after the furniture was supposed to be here on Saturday morning now it’s been scheduled for Tuesday of this next week. The system would not take my email so we had to put my mothers down to get it to accept it and now she’s getting all of the flack and the emails that’s necessary. We had to block them because they wouldn’t stop with the stupid surveys and she wasn’t even the one that Bought the furniture the communication the computer system the scheduling is the worst I’ve ever seen

Be Careful of the Price You Are Told

We were greeted appropriately when we walked in the door. At that time, we made it clear we were just looking and would let someone know if we needed help. We were not bothered as we browsed, which we appreciated. When we thought we had made our choice, we consulted the woman who greeted us. So far, so good. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because she quoted us a lower price than the piece actually was. We found out the actual price when she tried to check us out and had much difficulty with her computer. I would rather have been told a higher price and been surprised that it was lower rather than have been told a lower price and it was greater.

Definitely

Hannah met us at the door. She was very helpful without being over bearing. She also listened to what we wanted and found exactly what we were looking for!

Will definitely shop here again!

Mislead

The store was fine. We were told that our furniture was built in the States but the box said “Made in Vietnam”. Feel a little mislead.

The purchasing process was quick and…

The purchasing process was quick and simple. The sales associate was friendly and knowledgeable. The delivery process was excellent - the gentlemen delivering our purchase were fast and very friendly.
My only problem with the process? I got a 20% off coupon the day after the purchase that I was not able to use. Oh well..... :)

Great Salesperson!

Our salesperson gave us the space we needed to look around. Then we went to dinner to chat about it and went back to me our purchased he took care of us to close the deal and set up delivery! Fine young man!

All pieces damaged

My last furniture was sold as real leather but it wasn't and was even sold a leather warranty package. Finally got some credit back. Ordered new due again and all three pieces arrived damaged and have to be reordered. Another time I have to take off from work. And paid $257 for delivery. Not happy.
