DO NOT TRUST TRGC WITH YOUR PROPERTY! In our experience there is no point having an inventory for your property, as TRGC do not care if items from your property are missing including appliances and if the garden is ruined. Their checkout list is also a waste of time as it is not followed.
Rent is still due and in arrears.
Communication from TRGC to landlord is almost non existent.
Having to start court proceedings to recover our losses!

Landlords and Tenants Beware – TRGC Is Not to Be Trusted
My experience with **The Rent Guarantee Company (TRGC)** has been financially damaging and incredibly frustrating. Their unofficial motto is: *“We fix it when we leave”*—but in reality, **they don’t fix anything, and they refuse to leave**.
I’m currently owed **thousands of pounds in unpaid rent and invoices**. Even after winning a case against them through the **Property Redress Scheme (PRS)**, TRGC has **refused to pay or return possession of the property**. They’ve shown a total disregard for legal and contractual obligations.
⚠️ **Landlords:** Be warned that the **PRS does not protect you** in rent-to-rent arrangements with unregulated companies like TRGC. The scheme itself admits this is a gap in its coverage, leaving landlords exposed and unprotected.
⚠️ **Tenants and Occupants:** If you’re living in a TRGC-managed property, be aware that their poor standards, unresolved safety issues and ongoing disputes could seriously impact your rights and wellbeing.
It’s a disgrace that **local councils continue to work with such a disreputable and non-compliant company**. Whether you’re a landlord or a tenant—**steer well clear**.

unfortunately I had a few problems with this agency and unfortunately I rather advise against it the condition of the house was empty the walls were dirty neglected carpets thrown out in the garden there was neglected garden in the front and back
with my sick daughter we were without heating in the winter for over 6 weeks
someone from the agency came for an inspection I was busy with my daughter and they themselves wrote positive opinions about themselves and the company on my phone it was my temporary home so I kept quiet I received a notice of termination on August 22, 2024 and moved out on August 27th unfortunately this agency did not even get a statement from the council that the notice was immediate I had to move out and paid the rent with friends unfortunately the rent guarantee company claims the right to drag me to the courts to pay for a stay in which I did not even spend 1 day I really warn you because if you think that someone is helping you then they probably want to make money on you

This review was written the same day TRGC won a court case against Monika Szewczyk — a tenant who abandoned the property without notice, left it in a poor state, and failed to pay rent.
Despite fleeing 150 miles away, we located her and pursued the matter through the correct legal channels. Today, the court ruled entirely in our favour, awarding us all claimed costs, including rent arrears, cleaning fees, court costs and interest. Ms. Szewczyk arrived late, unprepared, and disregarded the judiciary and legal process.
Her review is a transparent attempt to shift blame after losing in court and does not reflect the facts.
We strongly advise fellow landlords and letting agents: DO NOT HOUSE this tenant. Our experience raises serious concerns about her reliability and accountability.
We stand by our actions and the court’s judgment that confirmed we acted properly throughout.
And despite everything, Ms. Szewczyk — I wish you well.

Big shout out to Michael, the maintenance man who has turned out twice at short notice. Gone over and above both times with a great attitude and smile on his face. It’s been a great experience with him so far.
