Came into this store clueless, but was greeted by this lovely girl who was super friendly and genuine! Ella was patient with all my needs and questions, and helped me find the perfect gifts, which I stupidly left till the day before. As someone who does all my shopping online, due to anxiety, Ella made me feel at ease. She wrapped my purchases whilst asking me about my day and even cracked a few jokes. I will definitely be returning, as I have never felt this comfortable in a shop before! Thank you Ella!

jess greeted me with a huge smile and seemed very welcoming she helped me out so so much !! i couldn’t recommend this shop more she was so lovely and kind , what a stunning girl !!!

Looking for some new aftershave and greeted by two lovely young ladies who left me to look around before approaching me and asked if I was ok. Told them what I was looking for and given various options and testers. Chose one of their recommendations and left happy.

Purchased some gifts the other day and had the joy of being served my Ella. She was absolutely amazing, extremely knowledgable, made lots of friendly conversation and did an excellent job at gift wrapping my purchase. She even included freebies! Came to the store today to be greeted by Jess & Ellie. They were absolutely amazing and their knowledge made my purchase so much easy and they went above and beyond to help. Thank you ladies for your wonderful and caring help.

I travel from Leeds to York yesterday with my wife and three kids I was shopping. I went to the perfume shop in a designer outlet in York I was just looking not meant to buy anything I met Ellie & Mollie & Charlie
They were so professional with me and with my family

treating my family very well very professional end of buying nothing left with seven aftershaves first I bought four then 10 minutes before they close I went back I bought. other three. We didn’t see Ellie there then

Also she asked us if we have a card to give us a point then our card was expired
Ellie give us a new one. I will make sure we always gonna travel from Leeds to York just to be there to buy from this shop . I felt not guilty to spend a lot of money there I will be back for sure

Extremely uncomfortable shop to be in.. went into the York outlet store today there was 4 members of staff (baring in mind the shop is tiny) all stood in a line behind the till. Comes across as extremely intimidating. They all stand and stare we asked for a sample spray of a perfume and they gave us one after looking at us like aliens we decided to leave the shop and not purchase as I’m sure somewhere else that is more welcoming would be better off with the sale. Won’t be returning, was better off as the fragrance shop

Very helpful and polite girl was at the counter, when you hadn’t got the perfume in stock she offered to order it and send it to my house, that’s what happened a few days later it arrived, many thanks.

Oliver at the MacArthur Glen York store is so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. He was really patient with us while we tried out a variety of different fragrances.

I had a very helpful staff member that made my shopping experience so much more pleasant .. She was young with her hair worn in blonde pony tail & I believe her name was Evie

Went in on Black Friday for some Christmas presents for my family. Was greeted by the lovely staff (even though it was very busy) but was quite disappointed when I noticed a member of staff (not wearing uniform whom I can only assume was a manager) shouting at staff members on the shop floor. As a manager myself this is extremely unprofessional behaviour to be having on such a busy shopping day and just made it awkward for me and my family so we left without purchasing anything. I do hope further training is given to managers from this incident.

Arrived early then expected

I went into The Perfume Shop at the designer outlet in York hoping for a particular perfume vibe and I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Dottie - they were not only an absolute joy to speak to, but their perfume advice was spot on!! I didn't expect to end up buying anything but they found me the perfect smell based on nothing but a vague description - beyond happy! Dottie was incredible and I am 100% going back for their advice again!
