I’ve had a very frustrating experience…

I’ve had a very mixed experience with this company. Before ordering, we actually visited the store and the staff were lovely and very helpful, and the experience at that stage was great, which made us feel confident about the purchase.

However, after ordering, the experience was very different. The first outdoor sofa I received was not only a different/older version than what was advertised, but it also arrived damaged with a cracked frame.

When I raised this, the company initially denied it, despite me providing screenshots from the original listing as proof. After a lot of back and forth, they eventually agreed to send a replacement.

Arranging the exchange was also difficult, as my availability was initially ignored and communication dropped off for a period of time.

When the replacement finally arrived, it was again damaged, which was extremely disappointing. However, I will say that on this occasion the company did respond quickly and arranged collection the same day, which I appreciated.

On both occasions, the free rain cover that was advertised was also missing, which added to the disappointment.

Overall, while the in-store experience and staff were excellent, the issues after purchase—receiving two faulty items, missing parts, inconsistent communication, and delays—made the overall experience stressful and disappointing. Based on this, I wouldn’t feel confident ordering from them again.

I would like to clarify a few points regarding your response to my review.

I originally ordered the rise and fall table set, which I did not receive. Fortunately, I had screenshotted the product description at the time and shared this with my partner, so I have evidence of what was advertised.

The first set that arrived was damaged throughout. I provided photographic evidence and was offered £250 compensation. If there was no issue with the set, I’m unsure why this offer was made.

In terms of delivery, I was not offered next-day service. I was informed the following day that the damaged/incorrect set would be collected, and a replacement would be delivered the following week on Monday. I explained that I work and could not accommodate this, but I received no response. My partner then had to contact you via live chat, posing as a new customer, just to get a reply.

The second set also arrived damaged, again with photographic evidence available. At this point, I was not offered a replacement. Due to the lack of communication and the ongoing issues—and being aware your offices close at 3pm—I requested a full refund as the situation had become unnecessarily stressful

I do, however, want to clarify a few points regarding your order to ensure an accurate reflection of events.
The initial set you received was not an older or different model. It was a brand new, boxed standard (non–rise and fall) table set. This model was in the process of being superseded by the rise and fall version, but the item you purchased — as detailed on your order confirmation — was for the standard fixed-height table. The set delivered to you was correct and in perfect condition.
Following delivery, you advised that you wished to exchange the table as it did not have the rise and fall feature (adjustable by 6cm). Although this was not the item originally purchased, we agreed to accommodate your request and arranged for the upgraded rise and fall version to be sent to you. We offered next-day delivery; however, this was scheduled within 7 days to suit your availability.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, the replacement set did have some defects to the frame. We sincerely apologise for this, as this is not the standard we expect. We did offer to exchange this again, but you opted for a full refund instead. This was arranged promptly, with collection taking place the same day and your refund processed accordingly.
We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations overall, particularly as we aim to provide the same high level of service post-purchase as we do in-store.
Your feedback is important to us, and we will continue to review our processes to improve both product quality checks and communication.

I’m still waiting for the screws to set up my table and my umbrella has not yet arrived or the rain covers for my furniture

Having checked your order, I can see that your delivery was arranged with AIT Direct. They provide a delivery link which allows you to amend your delivery date directly with them.

We received your email request the day before the scheduled delivery and responded within 2 hours. However, at that point, your review had already been submitted. As noted in our communications, email responses can take up to 24 hours, so for more urgent requests we would always recommend contacting us via phone or live chat for immediate assistance.

Amazing quality garden furniture

Amazing quality furniture and we bagged a free raincover, weights + parasol. Delivery Information from courier wasn't the best so 1 star dropped for that however I can't fault the company they were very prompt with any queries I had so would definitely recommend. I researched a lot for outdoor furniture and very pleased with The Outlet Home ♡

They failed to deliver on a few…

They failed to deliver on a few occasions my order finally turned up on the day I was going to cancel the payment.

The delivery driver came alone and my boxes were very large and dented. He couldn’t manage the delivery on his own. I had to make suggestions to him on how to get them off the lorry. Also they told me they would make a call an hour before delivery they didn’t! If they had I could have arranged for some help!
I haven’t unpacked the boxes yet, I do hope the items aren’t badly damaged!

I have unpacked the items there are some small scratches and scuffs. However, the company got in touch with me straight away and we came to an agreement for the slight damages. Also sent me a garden furniture cover free of charge - a really lovely lady I dealt with she was called Caroline.
I am changing my rating to reflect the level of after service I received.
