I was anxious about publishing my debut book, but the team listened to my concerns and offered personalized solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all package. Their patience and transparency about costs and timelines made the entire process feel manageable and trustworthy.

This is my third and final review regarding The Mystic Publishers. Unfortunately, as of October 19, 2026, I am still waiting for the $150 refund that was promised to me.

What started as a disappointing experience with a book cover service has turned into an even more disappointing experience with how this company handles customer concerns and refunds.

I paid $150 for a service that was not completed as promised. After numerous issues, I was told I would receive a refund. I trusted their word. Instead, I found myself repeatedly following up about money that should have already been returned.

On October 7, 2026, Jason Martin emailed me and acknowledged that the previous refund attempt had been declined. He apologized for the delay and stated that he could expedite another refund.

However, what concerned me most was what he said next:

"Before we proceed with the refund again, I'd highly appreciate if you removed the review on trust pilot as it leaves a negative impact over a resolvable issue."

He also stated:

"But do kindly remove the review and i will get the refund expedited aswell."

Let that sink in. I was being asked to remove my honest review before receiving a refund that had already been promised to me.

I responded professionally that same day, explaining that I do not have a Zelle account and requesting that my money be returned to my original payment method. I also made it clear that once the refund was received, I would be willing to update my review to reflect that the matter had been resolved.

I have remained respectful, given this company multiple opportunities to make things right, and even had to pay another professional to complete the book cover I originally hired The Mystic Publishers to create.

This is no longer just about $150. It is about integrity, accountability, professionalism, and the importance of honoring your word.

As a new author, I trusted this company with something that meant a great deal to me. Publishing my book was an important accomplishment, and what should have been an exciting experience became unnecessarily stressful and costly.

A company's reputation should be built on how it treats its customers, not on whether customers agree to remove negative reviews.

I have documentation supporting my experience, including the email acknowledging the declined refund and requesting the removal of my review.

I am not writing this to argue, threaten, or go back and forth with anyone. I am writing this because consumers deserve transparency, and I believe my experience is worth sharing.

This is my third and final review. I will not continue going back and forth over money that was promised to me. I have said what I needed to say, and the documentation speaks for itself.

I sincerely hope The Mystic Publishers takes customer concerns more seriously in the future.

My final message to other authors: Do your research, keep your documentation, and remember that a promise means very little until it is fulfilled.

I have just started with Mysic Publishers. The project manager was exceedingly helpful and knowledgable. I now feel very confident in my choice to sign with them.
