Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I received a damaged order and can’t get through to anyone at the company by phone or chat even though the website says they open at 9:30. The phone line says they open at 9:00am. I started calling them at 10:30am est. I left a message on their site and it says they will get back to me in 4-5 DAYS. I can’t even upload pictures I took of the damaged items. For a company that was temporarily shutdown for having all their products recalled, they should at least be able to help the customers that came back. Good product, terrible company. NEVER AGAIN .

Simply The Best!!!

As a longtime patron, I am thrilled to say the updated formulas are beautifully crafted and maintain The Laundress tradition of elevating the laundry and home-care cleaning experience. The results of each product (Detergents, Fabric Conditioners, Stain Removers, and all the Home-Care items.) more than exceeded my expectations!

Recall of bacteria products

I had over $100 worth of Laundress brand products that were recalled for having bacteria. I received a check for $20 from a 3rd party handling this disaster. I’ve emailed the company several times and no response. Mistakes happen. Poor customer service is a choice.

Still no refund

Same problem, as others.
No refund has been processed till today.
I sent all pictures and claims at the beginning of the recall and no response, after resending with all documents they say some documents are missing then I sent again with all necessary documents as asked and.... no reply.
This circle is going on and on and no refund.
Why are they claiming to refund the products, when they actually don't. I have more then 50 products involved in the recall and it took some time for all the pictures and numbering the bottles. Did anybody ever got their money back?

Good heavens!

Good heavens! My experience is the same as others regarding The Laundress recall refund. I submitted my information on 11/22/22 and have yet to receive a refund. Subsequent emails over the past 8 months to the company told me “a check is in the mail”, “we don’t have your name and address” and “you need to submit photos of the product codes and valid receipts.” Based on my experience, I don’t know how The Laundress expects to have any brand loyalty/trust in their products ever again.

Recalled products; no refund

Purchased two Laundress fabric sprays which were subsequently recalled due to health concerns. Despite contacting the company multiple times to request a refund, they never replied.

What a mess

The Laundress issues a recall, late in 2022 and committed to providing refunds for all products customers had in their possession within 8-10 weeks. I submitted my first claim early December 2022 and to date have received zero response and NO REFUND. They then issued a further recall and in January 2023 I submitted my second claim. Again, zero response and NO REFUND despite providing all the information they requested (I even a spreadsheet to assist them including batch numbers, photos, receipts and UPC numbers). I am continuously following up and last week I resent them the documentation AGAIN for the 3rd time (which needs to be sent in multiple emails due to the size of the mail with photos etc). They said I needed my initials on the bottom of the bottle. This was not in the original request from them and they keep changing the goals posts, possibly to avoid honouring their commitment. Customer service is non-existent, you can't get through on the phone, the process to claim either doesn't work or is extremely confusing, no-one replies to emails and 4 months on from my original claim, I am out of pocket, cannot use the products I have and still have no refund. A complete shambles.

HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE.

After the late 2022 mandatory recall was announced, received an email in December 2022 describing issue with a link to process. The link goes nowhere and I have not been able to submit documentation for the refund of the pricey items although I have been trying for 2 months.

Direct emails to the company are not returned. Voicemail messages are not returned.

SO, aside from distributing faulty product, the owners of this company do not appear to want to comply with the recall to refund purchasers. WILL NEVER, EVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN....!!!

My advice - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Totally irresponsible business. Shameful.

Your health is at risk if you use their products!!

Soon after buying their products, they sent me a safety notice to immediately dispose of all their items in my possession with the following note: “we have identified the potential presence of elevated levels of bacteria in some of our products that present a safety concern”. No further details on what the bacteria was or what products they were in and just offering to reimburse. What the goodness?!?

Awful quality control!!!

I have told this company several times that their No. 10 products have barely any scent in them. The product reviews also reflect this. I have not had a problem with any of the other scents fading or being non-existent. Some of the other scents are overpowering in fact. Other reviews also said the same thing - that all of the other various non-10 detergents etc. were consistent in their scent, but the No. 10 is not. Recently when I contacted them about it I asked for a concentrated bottle of the scent just to pour in the products I have and they refused my request. Guess what, I never would have asked if they took quality control seriously and would address the issue for me and their other customers. Also, when I texted them most recently about this, the rep replied almost like she was a bot. She didn’t say she would pass along my concerns at all, she just offered a refund. That doesn’t solve the issue. I might as well buy a much less expensive brand if I want laundry detergent that doesn’t smell like anything. Anyhow I didn’t get anywhere with the bot-like rep that has limited reading comprehension and problem solving skills, so I ended up having to call in and speak to someone about it directly. She tried telling me that all scents fade like perfume, but I reiterated to her that this is the only line of their scented products that almost don’t have a smell, or the smell fades significantly. I also pointed out that other customers are having the same issue and it is well documented. She said she’d talk to their production team, but who knows. All I know is that I’ve contacted them several times and some of the reviews stating this issue are at least a year old, so they obviously aren’t that determined to fix it. It’s too bad because I love the scent but I don’t appreciate their attitude, apathy, and lack of quality control. I may just stop buying their products altogether. What a shame.
