The Later Life Club 

These people are incompent. I applied for a simple extension of my Equity RElease with Pure Retirement. That was 3 years ago. They failed to communicate. I was passed on from one Agent to another. Finally when time ran out they suggested another provider.
Subsequently Pure Retirement said that there was no need to do this as people obviously do run out of time, especially when they are as slow and uncommunicate as Later Life and my application could have been renewed.
The new company they fixed me up with was more expensive but I agreed to go with them. The same experience 3 more agent, non of whom will let you know what isgoing on. All the effort has been on my part. They have made lame excuses for lack of communication and finally in September I contacted the new firm who said "don't accept any money if you are disatisfied" when I said I could not travel to Edinburgh to sign the deal. I contacted the company providing loan who said you can use your own solicitor they have no right to bully you into travelling 100 miles to a solicitor of their choice.
Nothing has been heard from them since and we are almost at 3 years since I first applied.
Avoid them like the plague. They are apparently no registered to deal with Equity Release. It seems to be illegal.

The Later Life Club deserves four stars for their excellent service. From start to finish, the team, including Alex and Meenhaj, were supportive, polite, and professional. TLLC completed the process as requested but there were a couple of instances where data had to be resent as a result of administrative errors/omissions.

Mixed feelings about my experience. The staff were friendly and the information was comprehensive. However, I felt the pros were emphasized more than the cons. Appreciated their honesty when I asked direct questions, but wish they'd been more upfront about potential downsides from the start. Still, they helped me make an informed decision.
