I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was honestly so bad! I bought it as a healthier lunch option, and sadly it was awful, and I was left hungry! Looks unappealing, and the flavour is bland- no salt, no pepper, and only a few bits of dry, overcooked chicken. I am very disappointed and would not buy again. I just wish I could get my £4.40 back!

These ready meals are absolutely spot on when only being used to work into a balanced diet. I meal prep Monday to Friday and have been popping one of these ready meals into my shopping to have as a quick lunch on Saturdays (obviously not as good as my own meals 😊). It’s a ready meal so I take it for what it is, tasty enough to meet my diet requirements quickly and conveniently over a busy weekend. Tried a few of them now, I do prefer the chilled to the frozen ones. The lemon cheesecake yogurts are really tasty and again convenient to add to part of my evening snack. No complaints handy way of hitting macro targets. 4 stars only because a microwave meal could never be 5 in my eyes 😂

I started eating gym kitchen frozen meals a few weeks ago and up to now I've found them very tasty and filling. I've been trying different foods to help me lose weight but gym kitchen are the best up til now.

Loved these meals a couple of months a go, but since increasing quantity the quality has diminished to almost inedible. Only ate a few spoonfuls of the last ones. Will not be purchasing anymore.

recently tried the gym kitchen maple pancakes, as i took them out of the wrapper they felt like bits of rubber ,after toasting them as instructed ,they even tasted like rubber,could not taste the maple syrup , and they were very bland ,i wont be buying anything else from this company, they were discusting

Genuinely horrid, I tried the chicken and mushroom noodles, they taste and feel like cardboard, the flavor packed had a lot in, but when you actually add it it’s extremely underwhelming, also there’s barely any sweetcorn. Bad quality. Do not recommend!

I only gave it one star because there was no option to give zero!!
Had the gym kitchen mighty meat pizza absolutely disgusting tasted of antiseptic 😞😞

Chicken Swarma I’d say bland, actually didn’t taste of anything of honest, lacked spicing and salt, rubbery chicken ( that was a shock) and inedible. I added mini peppers and pomegranate to try to make it edible as I was hungry.Fail !

Chicken Carbonara.
Positives - lots of chicken/broccoli and good ratio of spaghetti.
But... VERY bland.
Added lemon juice but ended up binning..sorry.

Tasteless bland meals regrettably bought 3 of them in a deal so two will be going in the bin.

Rly bad have tried 2 meals so far the carbonara and the meat feast pasta chicken on both inedible chewy no flavour whatsoever would avoid these meals completely and for 2 for £6.50 seems likens good deal but when the food is this bad there little point to n then other hand I’ve tried Charlie biminghams over meals and there miles ahead in terms of flavour n portion yes there a little more expensive at around £9 a meal £8 ok nectar from Sainsbury’s but for the extra few quid its night n day

4 tiny pieces of chicken in my meal In succulent runny tomato water and soggy pasta. An absolute ripoff. Stay away.

Im reading these reviews and im thinking are they eating the same thing? I personally think there full of flavour a great source of protein and low calories what more do you want from a 4 minute microwave meal? Really happy to be using these towards my weight loss journey and will continue to purchase them.

Never Had an issue with a Gym Kitchen meal . I always add some Chilli flakes to my meals as i prefer my food to have a spice to it but other than that their meals are always amazing quality . The mixture of veg , protein and carb is always an amazing idea aswell . I'm still yet to try the new nutrient bowls , the korean bbq chicken wrap , the korean beef chilli , beef lasagne , the new cooked meats and the meat feast pasta but other than that i'm sure i've tried near enough every product and no bad words . However i do miss their pizza's though and i hope they are considered as a product to bring back at some point

These meals ( I have had a fair few of these meals now, Thai green, pasta meatballs and chicken tikka, one with I want to say shredded beef? ) I find them very tasty for a convenient microwave meal, the dates are always good, Great ingredients and very filling! The only thing I could say negative would be to add more sauce into the Thia green curry, its a little dry. But I cant see how people can give a poor review, for a healthy, protein low calorie meal! They are good. You really feel like your having a nice filling meal, guilt free. I always enjoy, I consider myself a good cook, I always cook my meals at home from scratch too.

I bought the banana pancakes and have to say they have a foul taste - no banana flavour to be discerned! I threw 3 of the 4 in the pack in the bin. What a waste.....

avoid...I tried "katsu chicken"...disaster...disgusting food...one of the worst I've ever eaten...some kind of joke...waste of money...I don't know who made the recipe but it certainly wasn't a real chef...

So I would normally be in a self catering lodge, however this time around I settled for en-suite accommodation to keep the price reasonable. I do have access to a microwave and so the hunt for meals started. I came across amongst others the gym kitchen. So as a retired Sports Consultant I was intrigued. Against other brands it really did appear that they had put a lot of effort in creating a meal to fit a cause. So let me offer you a honest review - are they home cooking, well that would depend on your talent, I’m a good cook so not quite. But I will tell you that the 4 I’ve eaten, have been adequate in portion size, reasonable to good in taste and worth the expense. It seems to me that In my experience, they are healthier and in many cases tastier than most junk/fast food options. So there you have it - Bon appetite

Please do not buy their meals! Really disappointing experience with The Gym Kitchen. I discovered a dead fly in the meal after I had eaten most of it, which was pretty shocking. Food safety and quality control clearly not in place.

My wife and I recently ordered two dishes – the chicken tikka and the salt and pepper chicken – and ended up sharing both so we could try a bit of everything. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.
Both dishes lacked flavour and tasted quite bland overall. On top of that, the salt level seemed extremely high, which made the food difficult to enjoy. For dishes like these, you would normally expect well-balanced seasoning and a richer taste, but that wasn’t the case here.
Another concern was the quality of the chicken and ingredients used. When ordering chicken dishes, you expect a certain standard in terms of freshness, preparation, and overall quality. Based on this experience, it raises questions about the ingredients and cooking process.
It would be reassuring to know what quality checks and standards are in place for the food, particularly regarding the sourcing of the chicken, ingredient quality, and how seasoning levels are managed. Greater transparency around food quality and preparation standards would certainly help build customer confidence.
