This is the second time I have used this company and they are excellent. As promised they called the day they received my jewellery and offered a cash settlement, within 10 minutes the money was in my account.

As previously explained to you under the other review you left, unfortunately we had postal issues due to Royal Mail staff shortages affecting our local area, which resulted in a delay delivering some of our packs. All of our gold packs are sent out 1st class, so I re-sent another pack out to you hoping for it to reach you the next day. We were then made aware of recent changes in envelope sizes/depth, which Royal Mail simply failed to inform us about after posting our packs. This is how the £1.50 postage fee issue has occurred. As we are a free postal service, we would not like to see any of our customers out of pocket by using us and we kindly ask you to get in touch with us so that the fee of £1.50 can be reimbursed to you. I would like to point out that we do not usually have issues with our postal service, unfortunately these things do happen and are out of our control. As we cover all postal costs, we do not re-send gold packs out without a reason. We pride ourselves on offering a quick, efficient and transparent service so we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has may have caused you.
I can see that you used one of the packs to send your items to us and have accepted our offer. Despite receiving multiple packs, we hope our service has met your expectations and we wish you all the best Philip.

Hi John, firstly, we apologise for any inconvenience. We will happily pay any Royal Mail costs, and as always our service is 100% free and secure. Rest assured, the 1st class postal issue has been frustrating to customers and to ourselves, but it is now resolved, and was caused due to Royal Mail making an unannounced size change to the maximum size envelope contents, used with 1st class stamps.
We have doubled up to make sure all customers receive a selling pack through their letter box, and will happily arrange a free collection if you prefer. Thanks, Evelina, The Gold Company.
Not the best first impression
I’ve just received a third!? Pack after requesting one from you and another company who I didn’t realise was also the same company. I’ve had to pay £1.50 postage to get the letter delivered today as you hadn’t put enough postage on it. I was expecting another letter and thought it was this, so paid the postage. I’ve now received another Royal Mail card for underpayment for £1.50 so I’m guessing it will be yet another pack. I won’t be paying for it. It’s put me right off sending my jewellery. This third pack contained details of ‘The stuff company’ who I’ve not even requested anything from.

True to the adverts …
Having heard all the ads on Greatest Hits Radio, I thought I’d give them a try. Glad I did! Very prompt in sending me a bag which I filled with old jewellery I knew I’d never wear again. True to their ad, I received a phone call on the morning they received my stuff and they offered me a fantastic price. I accepted and within a few hours the money was in my bank! Would definitely recommend.

I had a few bits of jewellery…
I had a few bits of jewellery languishing in a draw. Not worn for years and some was broken. So I texted The Gold Company they sent out and envelope and I returned it, and within a couple of days I received my offer. Very happy with it, I accepted the offer and within minutes the money was in my account.
