Exceptional Service – Highly Recommend Abdul Rashid!

I recently bought my first car and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Abdul Rashid made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The service was outstanding, everything was done on time, and I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. He’s a genuinely great person, really knows his stuff, and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with my purchase. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future for my next car. Graham, Maz and team at the Car Co were outstanding during my recent visit. Their aftercare customer service is second to none. I’ve had nothing but a positive experience from using the Car Co and will use again.

CAUTION IF CONSIDERING BUYING A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER - SOLD ME AN INSURANCE WRITE OFF

Just over three years ago I travelled all the way from Glasgow to view a used Jaguar XJ at this garage. On a positive note the car was in good condition, the interaction with the sales team was fine and all the paperwork appeared in order. A fair purchase price was agreed and the garage provided the usual documentation, including paperwork vouching for the vehicle history. I thereafter enjoyed good use of the vehicle with no issues other than routine maintenance.

I recently decided to change the vehicle and was horrified when a hpi check revealed the vehicle was recorded as a Category N insurance write off, before I purchased it from the Car Company. Accordingly the market value of the vehicle halved instantaneously and I am now out of pocket to the tune of thousands of pounds. At no point was I told this by the Car Company, there was no mention of it in the original advert, receipt or any other paperwork provided to me.

A complaint was submitted to the company management seeking both an explanation and fair and reasonable compensation. They denied knowledge of the Cat N insurance status, claiming their garage is reputable and does not deal in, or sell insurance write off’s. They definitely sold me such a vehicle and it’s implausible that such an alleged reputable and well established garage would not be aware of the true history of any vehicle. I perceive this would have no doubt been reflected on the purchase price paid by them for the car from BCA where they claimed to have acquired it. Initially undertaking efforts to have them recompense me including numerous communications back and forth, they eventually offered a ‘goodwill gesture’ that is to consider taking the vehicle back as a part exchange for a fair value subject to inspection and so on. This was declined on logistical grounds, the vehicle being subject to further depreciation and the obvious reluctance to purchase another vehicle from this very garage who sold me an insurance write off in the first place. The company then point blank refused to offer any compensation whatsoever and stated they considered the matter closed. Accordingly I am now exploring legal options to recover my losses.

It is regrettable that the used car industry has the reputation it does but sadly companies like this and the way they treat their customers is the root cause.

I have posted this review for the information of anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this company. Whilst that is clearly a personal choice, ensure you do your homework and do not get stung like I did. Under no circumstances would I allow any family or friends to waste any of their hard earned cash purchasing/dealing with this unprofessional garage/business.

For the avoidance of doubt the above review is based on my true and honest reflection of my personal experience of this company.

I recently purchased a new car and had an excellent experience. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. Zubair, the salesman, was incredibly helpful, patient, and accommodating throughout. He offered a great price for my trade-in and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way.

There were a few slight scuffs on the car initially, but these were all sorted before pick-up, and the car was in perfect condition when I collected it. The dealership itself is very well presented with a great selection of cars both on-site and online. If there was something I couldn’t see in person, they were happy to bring it out for me to view.

They even gave me the keys to explore the cars at my own pace, and the test drive was relaxed, making me feel at ease. Overall, I’m really happy with the service I received and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend!

Graham and Maz looked after me from start to finish when I had issues with my horn. Worked incredibly fast and got me a new horn sorted as fast as they could. 10/10
