Disaster Relief Program for Hurricane Milton
I am deeply frustrated with The Build Card Credit Card Company during this hurricane crisis. When I sought assistance, their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful. Given the urgent need for support, it was disheartening to learn that while they could assist, the disaster relief program was never applied to my account. I have spoken to 11 different representatives, some of whom hung up, transferred me to others, connected me to lost or stolen services, and kept me on hold for hours. No one should have to endure such treatment. It feels as though they have completely abandoned their customers in a time of genuine need. I expected more from a company that claims to prioritize customer care. The representatives clearly need retraining, and it's concerning that this issue isn't isolated. Currently, I have been on hold for 46 minutes waiting for a supervisor. We must improve as a credit card company! The Build Credit Card Customer Service team does not deserve one STAR!

Credit increase
When I called in to request a credit limit increase the rep was very knowledgeable about the process and talk me through and make sure I understood everything. She was very pleasant and patient as I had questions for her. I do wish that the company would do frequent reviews of good standing accounts and just increase their credit limit but since they charge a fee to do that, I understand why they don’t.

I have called in 3 times because my build card will not work, each time the rep has told me it needed to be activated and said they did the activation and I could use my card in 1 hour. I still cannot use my card.

A few months ago
A few months ago, I lost my job of 16 years, went through a divorce, and lost my son in the same year. I called to ask if they had credit protection, which I thought I had purchased when applying for the card. The person I spoke with was not empathetic or somehow thought I was lying; however, she told me I could make small monthly payments. I told them that, at that time, I had to find a place because I lost everything to my ex-husband and had to pay spousal support. So, I said that I didn't feel confident enough to do so because I had already exhausted my savings and was waiting on severance. She wasn't trying to hear it and was not helpful. I called numerous times and requested that my accounts with Verve and Cerulean be closed. When I am being transferred to that department, they hang up on me. I am so over this company.
